"What the hell is this shit?"

Donna looked down at the plate Carrie had placed in front of her. Seeing what Piney meant and trying to contain her laughter.

"It's grilled chicken breast and a salad," Carrie answered, giving Donna an exasperated look, before sitting down at the table. "It's good for you, good for all of us. We need to start making healthier food choices."

"This is bullshit," Piney grumbled looking between his plate and his daughter. "My food choices are fine the way they are."

"A bottle of patron for breakfast and a greasy food are not healthy," Carrie argued, giving Piney a dry look. Shaking her head as Donna sat quietly watching in amusement. "Besides if you start eating better. It'll help to lengthen your life and you'll still be around for a good while."

"Well if I have to eat rabbit food and give up my booze. I think I'd rather keel over."

Donna snorted into her glass, softly laughing at Carrie's annoyance. While secretly agreeing with Piney. She was craving a greasy burger and fries at the moment, however, ever since Carrie had gone to the hospital. She'd been on healthy lifestyle craze, cutting out junk food.

Donna had thought it was great, until Carrie started torturing her and the kids by forcing them to join. Piney had managed to escape it for a bit, when he'd gone up to the cabin until now.

The only one Carrie hadn't gotten to, yet, was Opie but that was only because he was rarely home. And Donna was envious of him, because he didn't have to put up with his sister over this.

"Besides, I thought daughters were supposed to spoil their old man. Cook them hearty home cooked meals and leave them the hell alone," Piney grumbled while picking at the salad. "Not torture them like you are."

"I'm not torturing you, you old geezer. I'm ensuring that you eat healthier, so you can have a prolong life to spend with your family."

"Really. Well your dating life is ruining what time I have left," Piney said pointing at a shocked Carrie.

Carrie looked at him in disbelief. "How the hell is it ruining your life?"

"Because you're dating the Deputy Chief, who has been a pain in the ass, with a vendetta against the club," Piney narrowed his gaze at his daughter. Before pointing at her. "You seriously couldn't have picked any other guy. At this point I would be fine with a club member, like Juice or the prospect."

"Those two are single. I'll put in a good word for ya, but you gotta dump the one you got now." Piney said like it was up for negotiation.

Donna and Carrie shared a look. Donna's was in amusement while Carrie was irritated, while Piney continued to whine about Carrie trying to put him in an early grave.

"Zobelle's been having someone tail Carrie," Opie said as they sat down in church.

Clay leaned forward. "You sure she's being tailed?"

"Carrie's seen them, usually it's the same guy and car but occasionally it's someone else," Opie answered, looking around the table at his brothers. "All of them white. They're always following her or parked outside of St. Thomas, her apartment or the house."

"He's doing it on purpose. Wants her to know they're watching, trying to spook her." Tig said, shaking his head.

Jax clenched his fist. "If that's the case, one of us should be watching her. I say we take turns keeping watch," he said, feeling angry and worried that something could happen to her. "Make sure they don't try getting to her to get through us. He already got to Otto and Chibs, the last thing we need is someone else getting hurt."

"We don't know it's club related," Clay argued. "Maybe they're doing it to send a message to Hale. Let him know they're watching his girl, ensuring he either sides with them."

"All the more reason to keep watch over her, do we really want another woman with its to the club getting hurt?" Jax angrily questioned.

"Does Carrie feel at risk or threatened?" Clay questioned turning his gaze to Opie. "Have they made any type of move?"

"She said they haven't but that they're not hiding the fact they're there. At first she was a little freaked when she figured it out," Opie explained, briefly glancing at Jax. "But they haven't made move yet, Told her to come straight here or give me a call if they did."

Clay nodded. "Then we wait and see if they make a move," he stated giving Jax a pointed look. Before looking around the room."Nobody do anything stupid until we know more."

Jax angrily shook his head. Not agreeing with Clay, knowing Zobelle was bidding his time. Waiting to strike again and with him putting someone to tail Carrie, didn't sit well with him.

"Gemma's having a potluck tonight," Donna looked over her shoulder at Carrie before turning back to washing the dishes. "She said she wants all of us there. That invitation includes you."

"I can't I'm working the night shift," Carrie lied before sighing. "And even if I wasn't I wouldn't go either way. I don't need to see Jax or Tara together."

"I thought you were over it?"

"I am but that still doesn't mean that I want to see them all over each other," Carrie lied, looking away from Donna's knowing look.

"Well me and the kids might go," Donna shrugged. "Get back into the hang of things."

"Yeah, the club was there all night until you got out of surgery the night of the accident. Gemma and Wendy included."

"Which is why I feel like I should go. They're extended family and even though Opie and me are a little rocky with unresolved shit going on," Donna shrugged before turning the water off. "They're still family. They were there for you to, you know?"

"I know but I don't know how welcome I am with me dating David."

"Look, the club is family. It took me a while to realize that," Donna said sitting down at the kitchen table. "But I did. David has to realize that if he wants to be with you, he eventually has to accept the club. It's a packaged deal, comes with dating someone involved."

"But I'm not involved," Carrie pointed out.

"No, but you're affiliated," Donna argued. "Your father and brother are members. That isn't going to change and the club is always going to be around because of it."

There it is another chapter.

Shit's going to start to hit the fan.

Just saying lol.
