Jax looked around, taking in the parked cars. Not noticing anything suspicious before climbing up the front steps to Carrie's apartment. Ringing the doorbell, when he didn't get answer he checked behind him, seeing her car parked across the street.

He rang the doorbell one more time, reaching into his kutte grabbing a hold of his gun and taking it out of the holster. Ringing the bell while getting ready to aim it to shoot at the lock.

Carrie had just gotten out of the shower when she heard the doorbell. Hurrying to dry herself off, putting her her bra and panties on. Trying to change quickly before grabbing her robe, tying the belt and making her way to the front door.

Checking through a small gap to see Jax, aiming a gun at her front door. Before throwing the door open and startling him. "What do you want?"

"Seriously? I could have shot you." Jax chastised putting his gun away.

"Well you were aiming at my door, I had to do something," Carrie argued crossing her arms.

Jax looked over his shoulder. "Can I come in?"

"For what?"

"I heard someone's been tailing you," Jax answered, stepping inside as Carrie moved aside.

"Opie told you?"

"He informed the club about it. How long has it been going on?"

Carrie shrugged. "I don't know how long but I noticed after you guys had gone into county."

"They haven't tried anything?" Jax questioned, finally noticing what Carrie was wearing. Better yet the lack of clothing before noticing her wet hair. "You just get out of the shower?"

Carrie swallowed, seeing his eyes trail the length of her body. "Let me change and I'll be back."

Carrie quickly turned around, feeling his gaze on her before turning the corner into the corridor. Stepping into her bedroom and locking the door behind her. Taking a deep breath, slowly letting it out.

He cheated on you, she reminded herself. Twice, snap out of it. Don't fall for him or his charm.

She couldn't believe that she still felt butterflies and a pull towards him. Especially after everything he did. Shaking her head, she quickly dressed before making her way back into the living room.

"So they've been tailing you since we went in?" Jax questioned as soon as she entered the room.

"That's when I first noticed it but I put it off," Carrie shrugged. "It started by a car following me then I lost it. Figured it was just coincidence they were taking the same route before they turned somewhere else."

"But then I noticed it start to happen sooner and drive past when I reached my destination," Carrie shook her head. "Look, Jax you already heard it from Opie. What I want to know is what's going to happen now?"

"I'm going to keep an eye on you."

"I don't need a babysitter Jax," Carrie argued. "Besides, we don't know what they're trying to accomplish."

"Exactly, we don't know what they want," Jax shook his head. "I'm not going to risk you getting hurt, if I can prevent it."

"But you can't," Carrie argued, shaking her head. "You can't be with me 24/7. What about the club? Or Tara and Abel?"

"I'll figure something out. In the meantime, you check in with me every time you go somewhere," Jax pointed at her. "I mean it Carrie, until we figure out what's going on. You don't go anywhere without checking with me first. If I can I'll come and follow you or I'll put the prospect on you."

"This is crazy Jax."

"We don't know what we're dealing with here babe," Jax retorted, letting the term of endearment slip out. Choosing to ignore his slip up, he stepped towards the door. Carrie following behind him. "Chibs is already in the hospital because of this guy. I'm not going to take my chances of you landing there too."

"Just humor me and do as I tell you," Jax stepped outside before turning around to face her. "Can you do that or am I going to have to put your ass on lockdown at the club?"

Carrie rolled her eyes. "Fine," she sighed in frustration. "I'll check in with you but trust me you're going to get annoyed with my constant checking in."

"As long as you're safe I don't mind," Jax answered before leaning in and kissing her forehead. "What time are you working today?"

"I just have to get stuff together."

"Okay then, I'll follow you. No excuses." Jax pointed at her before making his way towards his bike. Leaving her to shake her head at him before closing the door behind her.

Jax didn't just follow Carrie but he had personally walked her into the hospital before going to check on Chibs. Spending a little bit of his morning with the Scot, filling him in on what had happened with Luann the night before.

He'd been on his way to leave, when Unser caught up to him in the hallway outside of the ICU.

"Good thing you came in, saved me trip going to T-M," Unser said as they walked down the hall.

"What's going on?"

"Ran a sting this morning, for prostitution, over at the Logger Point Motel," Unser informed, as they came to a stop by the hospital chapel.

"Hookers in Charming?" Jax questioned in disbelief.

"Yeah, hookers and movie stars. Two of them were your girls from CaraCara," Unser shrugged. "Apparently they want to talk to their boss."

Jax shook his head, looking into the chapel before taking another look. Seeing his mother in there, he opened the door before replying to Unser and making his way in.

"Do you think he'll do his job?" Weston questioned as they watched David get into his jeep.

Zobelle glanced towards Weston. "He better. What have you found out about the girl?"

"She knows Gemma, I've seen them together a few times," Weston answered. "She's also been around two of the other members, Opie and Piney Winston. She's spends most of her time with Opie's old lady and his kids."

"She rarely stays at home, but when she's there, our good friend the Deputy Chief is there with her. Jax was seen leaving her place this morning, scene looked pretty intimate. He followed her to work and walked in with her into the hospital."

"He spent the night?"

Weston shrugged. "Might have, there was no one watching overnight."

Zobelle nodded before crossing his arms. "If Hale doesn't get the job done, this will be our chance to kill two birds with one stone."

"It's going to be tough to get her from there. "Too many possible witnesses, not to mention there's security at the entrance."

"Then we'll have to wait until she leaves from there," Zobelle answered. "Maybe grab her from home, but if you see an earlier opportunity take it. It's time the club and Hale finally got the message."

"How do you want us to get the message across?"

"Do it the way you think is best. Just make sure she receives it," Zobelle stated turning towards Weston. "That way she'll actually pass it along unlike Clay's old lady."

"You want to tell me what that dead wife shit was back in there?"

Jax looked up as Bobby made his way towards him. Before shaking his head. "Otto knew about Luann. It's my fault she got killed."

"That's not on you, you did what you thought was right," Bobby sighed. "I was tapping Luann."

Jax looked up in disbelief. "What? Since when?"

"Since I started doing her books."

"How was that?" Jax questioned, still in disbelief but also curious.

Bobby shook his head. "I got to be honest, it was a little scary."

Jax raised his eyebrows, briefly looking away. Before looking back at Bobby. "Well, you're covered I guess, with the prison clause at least."

"I know but it still feels shitty," Bobby scoffed while shaking his changing the subject. "You do know Clay isn't going to get majority vote on shutting CaraCara down right? The guys love pussy and porn too much. They practically live out there."

"That's why he's against it, he sees it as a distraction."

"Hey, I just wanted to say I was sorry about interfering around here," Gemma told Tara leaning against the empty nurses's station.

"Thanks," She said looking down. "By the way I told Chibs, about transferring him to Stockton Memorial and he freaked. Like he completely panicked and started talking about him being left unprotected."

"Well someone blew him up, sweetheart," Gemma gave her a pointed look. "After something like that he's bound to be paranoid, so you have to understand he's going to be a little twitchy."

"When does it all stop?" Tara questioned, shaking her head. "When are things going to settle down and go back to normal?"

"I don't know baby," Gemma shrugged, not taking her eyes off Tara. "But things are never normal. They just tend to calm down for a bit before shit blows up all over again."

Gemma had just stepped out of the hospital when she saw Carrie. "Hey, we missed you last night."

"Uh, yeah I was working the night shift," Carrie informed, looking away. "I heard about Luann, I'm real sorry about her, I know she was your best friend."

Gemma narrowed her eyes, watching Carrie closely. "I thought when you worked the night shift, you had the morning off the next day and thanks funeral is tomorrow."

Carrie closed her eyes before sighing. "I do but I had to come in and cover for one of the nurses," she informed, before biting her lip. She knew Gemma didn't believe her, she could see it in her eyes.

"Well you must be tired then," Gemma replied, knowing her excuse was bullshit but letting it slide.

Carrie nodded before shrugging. "I'm off tomorrow to make up for the fact I had to come in today," she said, lying about the first part.

"Good for you. You'll be able to rest," Gemma looked away before turning back to Carrie. "I won't take anymore of your time. I know you got lives to help save, stop by the house tomorrow. I got something to give you, might help with the Zobelle problem if the need ever rises."

Carried walked out of the hospital and towards her car. Looking at her phone as she reread Jax's message debating on whether to text him or not. She knew he was busy with club related business, so it wasn't like he was going to see her message. But decided on doing it anyway, she didn't want to deal with an angry biker, for something so insignificant.

Carrie looked around, before getting into her car and making her way home. Glancing in the review mirror, looking for the car that usually followed her. Not seeing it, Carrie sighed in relief before turning onto her street.

Taking another quick look as she parked in front of her building, couple of doors down from her apartment. Before making her way out of the car, pressing the lock button on the fob and speed walking towards her apartment.

She looked over her shoulder, before turning around and bumping into someone. "Sorry Ms. you should be careful where you're going," the guy in from of her said, steadying her.

Carrie felt her heart race, taking a calming breath, as she took in his features. Trying to look for anything that could link him as one of Zobelle's guys. Not finding any, she quickly thanked him before walking away.

Speeding up her steps and getting to her apartment steps, looking over to see him standing in the same spot. He gave her a smirk before he walked away, leaving her to feel uneasy but if she hadn't looked over, she would have made it into her apartment. Or at least she wouldn't have been distracted to hear someone coming up behind her.

By the time she heard them, it was too late she had no chance of running because her world went black.

Carrie was startled as she woke up gasping for air. Everything was blurry for a a couple of seconds. Not only was she disoriented, but she was wet and trying to get her breathing under control.

"Look who finally decided to wake up."

Carrie's head was jerked up, by someone behind her pulling her hair roughly. Causing her to let out a yelp. Trying to grab onto the hand out of reflex, she could feel that her hands were bound to a chair, as were her legs. Glancing around she noticed the room was very dim, lit by some lanterns.

She squinted, trying to make out the figure but the light didn't reach that far. "What do you want?"

"I'm glad you ask. You see we've been watching you and we have to say we're not very happy with the company you keep."

Carrie gave another yelp as her head was roughly pushed forward. Feeling her breathing pick up along with her heart beat. She knew they were Zobelle's guys and they were finally making their move.

"Deputy Chief Hale has been behaving very badly as of late. Working with those leather wearing heathens, who betray their own race in order to make money. But they'll both soon realize their mistakes and learn their lesson."

Carrie nervously glanced around. "What does that have to do with me? Why am I here?"

"You are going to deliver the message that Gemma failed to relay."

"If she didn't pass the message along, what makes you think I will?"

He chuckled before stepping forward. Allowing Carrie to see his identity. "Because while you're trying to act tough, I can see the fear in your eyes. It won't take much to break you," Weston stated running the back of his hand against her cheek. Watching her squirm before shaking his head. "It's such a shame. We could have had so much fun doing it too."

"You and are your boss are both crazy psychopaths. You know that right?"

Weston gave her a smirk, before back handing her. Carrie cried out, feeling the tears she had tried to keep in rush down her face, as she tasted blood. "Now you're going to do what I tell you or you're going to get punished again. Believe me every time you disobey or talk back it's going to be worse."

Carrie glared at him but kept her mouth shut, not willing to test his theory out. "Good, now you're going to tell Hale that he needs to do his job and stop betraying his race by helping those traitors but just so we make it clear," Weston stepped closer before back handing her once again across her other cheek. Causing the chair to wobble from the force, before whoever was standing behind her steadied it. She felt blood beginning to trickle down and knew he had split the skin.

Weston leaned down, towards her face, looking behind her before nodding. Her head was roughly pulled back and she bit her lip to keep from crying out. Not wanting to give him that satisfaction.

Carrie could see that wasn't the reaction he expected on his face, as he narrowed his eyes at her. Which should have been a warning for her to back down but all it did was fuel her to make a stupid mistake.

Before she could change her mind she spit in his face, which caused him to lose his smirk, quickly reaching forward and roughly squeezing her jaw. "You think you're so tough you little bitch. I was going to take it easy on you." he said before pushing her face away.

"Untie her from the chair," Weston ordered before stepping back. "Keep her hands tied together."

Carrie thrashed around, trying to jerk herself away, but it only resulted in her being thrown harder onto the floor. Before she was yanked by her hair, looking up at him. "Tell the club they're done selling guns to color and to back off. Otherwise we'll go after every old lady and anyone affiliated with them. And they won't like the end results."

"You won't get away with this. They'll be looking for me as soon as I don't check in and they'll come after you."

"We're planning on it." Weston smirked. "But it won't be tonight. See we already checked in, right now you're safely at home. And tomorrow, they'll be a little too busy taking care of more pressing matters. So you're on your own until they have some time. In the meantime I say we have some fun."
