This is probably the longest chapter that i've written for this just warning you. So get ready.

"Hey," Donna greeted as Opie came into the house. "I made breakfast, you joining us?"

Opie didn't answer, he closed the distance before kissing Donna. Leaving her breathless as he pulled back. "I love you."

"I love you too," Donna softly replied. Looking at him in confusion, seeing him a little rattled. "What's going on? Everything okay?"

"Everything's fine baby. Just thankful that you're here with me and the kids," Opie answered, leaning in for another kiss. "I could have lost you."

"But you didn't. I'm right here Ope and I'm not going anywhere," she promised grabbing onto his wrist. Not looking away, until he let her go.

"Carrie not here?"

"I tried calling her but just got her voicemail," Donna answered as they both sat down. "It's her day off, her phone must have died and she's probably sleeping in. She hasn't been feeling that great."

Opie looked up from serving himself. "Still?"

"It's better than before but she'll occasionally get hit with a dizzy spell or stress headache."

Opie nodded and before looking around the table. Seeing his family complete, imagining what it would have been like if they had lost Donna. While recalling the events from last night.

Jax pulled up to CaraCara, to see it burned to the ground. Feeling the anger rush through him as he took in the damage. Knowing only one person who could do this and he was done.

"This was Clay," He angrily announced to Bobby, Happy and Half sack, who had arrived shortly after he did. Before pointing at Happy. "Call Quinn. I'm going Nomad."

"I got some news, figured it be best if you heard it from me," Jax said looking up at Piney, who was holed up in his cabin. "I decided to go Nomad."

Piney looked at him in disbelief before angrily pointing at him. "I gave you John's book so you could change things. You gave me your word."

"I'm trying Piney," Jax argued before sighing. "It's not that easy. The book isn't exactly a how to manual. I'm trying to read in between the lines of his half angry and half love letter to the MC."

"You father saw it all coming," Piney ran his hands through his hair. "He saw the feds, the Irish and guys like Zobelle. He predicted all this shit and he knew if we kept on the same path, we were all gonna die bloody."

"We're not going to die bloody Piney."

"Yes we will and you know we will if you give up," Piney shook his head, pointing at him. "Who's going to lead when Clay can't anymore? Do you really want to see Tig or Bobby at the gavel, leading this club? This is your father's legacy do you really want to let it crash and burn?"

Jax didn't answer as another motorcycle approached causing them both to look out the window. Jax looked at Piney, before leaving. Leaving Piney to watch from the window before angrily closing the curtains.

"Guess you told him," Opie stated, meeting Jax half way, causing him to nod. "I still can't wrap my head around it brother."

"You guessed it happening months ago man," Jax shook his head. "I can't do it anymore. When it come to Clay, nothing I do is for the good of the club."

"He's your father Jax."

"No he's not," Jax shook his head. "My father died out on 580, sixteen years ago."

Opie watched as Jax walked away.

"Welcome back Chibs," Gemma said hugging him. Before turning to look at the guys. "I got a repo list."

"I got it," Opie took it from her before motion to Half Sack. "Let's go."

Opie took a couple of steps away before his phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID before quickly flipping it open, motioning for Half sack to go ahead. "Donna what's up?"

"You and Piney need to get to St. Thomas Opie."

"What? Why?" Opie looked around trying to spot Piney. Noticing him by the clubhouse as everyone headed that way. He glanced back at Half Sack, telling him to wait before making his way over to Piney. "Are the kids okay?"

"The kids are fine. They're at school, but you two need to get here fast."

"What the hell is going on Donna?" Opie angrily questioned, catching the club's attention. Opie heard Donna start crying on the phone.

"What's going on?"

Opie shook his head. "I don't know Pop," answered before turning his attention back to Donna. "Breathe baby, I don't know what's going on if you don't tell me."

"It's Carrie."

"What about her?" Opie made eye contact with Piney before glancing at Jax. Seeing him take his phone out. Opie heard Donna trying to control her sobs, while he was trying to be patient.

"She is in the hospital Ope. She was attacked."

Opie felt his heart drop. "I'm on my way," he said looking at Piney before hanging up the phone. "We need to get to St. Thomas. Now."

"What the hell is going on?" Piney questioned as Opie turned around to head to his bike.

Opie turned to face his father. "Carrie's in the hospital. She was attacked," he answered, looking at Jax before looking at Clay.

Jax glared at Clay. "This is on you."

"How is this on me?"

"I told you to put someone to watch her. Now look what happened because of your choice not to." Jax angrily reminded him. "She may be back there fighting for her life."

"We don't know that yet," Clay argued glaring at Jax.

"Hey, not here," Bobby stated, pushing them apart. "Doctor is talking to them. We'll know what's going on soon enough."

Jax glared at Clay before turning around seeing the doctor walk away. Before meeting Opie half way. "What's going on man?"

Opie glanced at the guys. "She was beaten and tied up. She's got rope marks on her wrists and ankles. Her face is marred up and bruised but they're still running more tests just in case. She said they dropped off at the entrance, unconscious missing her pants and her top was torn."

"They think she was raped?"

Opie shook his head. "She didn't say, just said they needed to run more tests but that it didn't look like it. Either way they want to make sure. This was Zobelle, it had to be he was the only one keeping tabs on her."

"Let's go talk somewhere more private," Clay suggested.

"There's the chapel down the hall." Jax said before they started walking that way. Jax paused, looking over his shoulder, stopping and waiting for Opie as he talked to Donna. Before catching up with him. They both looked at each other knowing they needed to deal with Zobelle and soon.

Carrie stared at the ceiling, mulling over everything that happened. Before looking towards the door as it opened silently watching as Gemma came in.

"I didn't think you'd be awake."

Carrie shook her head, before grimacing as it only made the room spin.

Gemma walked closer stopping next to the bed, grabbing a hold of the remote hovering her finger over the call button. "You in pain? You want me to call the nurse?"

"No, just got dizzy for a bit. I'm fine," Carrie took a deep breath closing her eyes, hearing Gemma sit down. "Where's Donna or Opie and Piney?"

"Donna went to pick up the kids from school and the guys are holding church in the chapel by the waiting room."

"It was Weston, under Zobelle's orders," Carrie opened her eyes, turning to stare at Gemma. "Wanted me to pass on a message since you didn't."

"What did they want you to relay?"

"He said to tell Hale to stop associating with race traitors and to do his job or step aside," Carrie briefly looked away. "Wanted me to tell SAMCRO that they were done dealing in guns and to back off Zobelle. Or they'd go after every old lady or anyone affiliated and the club wouldn't like the end results."

"Did they-"

"No," Carrie cut her off. "Weston was going to, but his phone rang and he ordered them to leave but not before he knocked me out. He must have dropped me off here afterwards because the next thing I knew I was getting rushed down into the ER."

"The car accident that you had almost two months ago. It wasn't a car accident was it, that was because of Zobelle. They beat and raped you," Carrie stated, watching as Gemma flinched. Knowing she was right. "Why didn't you tell the club?"

"Because that shit would have torn them apart," Gemma answered before shaking her head. "All the good it did. They're still tearing apart. Jax and Clay are at each other's throats half the time now. This is only going to tear them further apart, which is why you can't confirm it was Zobelle."

"They're going to know Gemma, he'd been keeping tabs on me," Carrie argued, shaking her head. "They're going to assume it was him and connect the dots."

"They're going to want you to confirm it, right now it's just assumptions that they have."

Carrie glared at Gemma. "Why are you protecting Zobelle?"

"I'm not protecting that scumbag," Gemma argued. "I'm protecting the club. They don't need to be unfocused or blinded by their emotions. They need to be clear headed to come up with a plan. This guy is doing these things to catch them off guard. Sometimes we have to sacrifice and keep quiet, so they can stay on top."

Carrie shook her head before looking up at the ceiling. "I'm pregnant," she softly stated.

"Shit," Gemma muttered before reaching forward to take Carrie's hand. "What do the doctors have to say?"

"They think I won't miscarry, since it's early on still and there was no trauma in that area," Carrie sighed, before shaking her head. "But the first trimester is the most critical, any amount of distress or harmful exposure could result in a miscarriage or it can cause birth defects."

"You think that will happen?"

Carrie bit her lip. "I'm praying that it doesn't, but they to want keep me under observation until tomorrow. After that, they want me to see an OB who will continue to monitor me closely."

Gemma softly squeezed Carrie's hand. "Did you know you were pregnant before this?"

"I barely found out today, when the doctor came in to talk to me regarding my injuries and lab results."

"So only the two of us know. You have to keep it that way Carrie," Gemma shook her head before holding her free hand up. "Listen to me, if the guys find out, this is only going to run emotions higher. They'll go in blindly looking for retaliation. They're already in enough shit, the majority of them are on parole. If they mess up and get caught, that's it. They get thrown back in jail."

Gemma patted her hand. "I know this is hard, but they can't find out. And you can't tell David either, if he finds out about his baby and what Zobelle did. He's going to go straight to the club."

"It might not be David's," Carrie shut here eyes, as tears slowly slipped out. "Depending on my hCG levels and what the ultrasound shows, they'll be able to determine exactly how far along I really am."

"Who is the other potential father?"

Carrie took a deep breath, softly squeezing Gemma's hand before removing her hand from under hers. "You have to promise that you won't say anything. At least not until I'm absolutely sure," she said turning to look at Gemma. Waiting for her to promise before dropping another bomb. "It could be Jackson's."

Gemma stared at her in disbelief, before shaking his head. "Does he not know how to wrap his shit up? When the hell did you two happen?"

Carrie slightly smiled before it dropped. "Before Donna's shooting, it didn't last long very long. It ended the day when Abel got out of the hospital. That's when he got back with Tara or at least when he cheated."

Gemma scoffed, shaking her head. "Typical Jackson. He loses his brain when it comes to that little tart."

"I thought you two were best friends now."

"Not going to happen. I get along because it means something to my son. But this is something you'll learn once that baby is born. Once someone hurts your baby, you never get over it and you never forgive."

"We need to make sure this was Zobelle."

"You know it was," Jax argued pointing at Clay.

Opie agreed with Jax. "All signs point to it. He was keeping tabs on her, following her around. Who else could it be?"

"Zobelle isn't the only one we have trying to crawl up our ass and take over," Clay said looking around the room. "The Mayans called off their truce and let's not forget to mention that porn producer you pissed off."

"So what do we do? Sit on our asses and wait to figure it out?" Piney angrily shook his head. "That's my daughter in a damn hospital bed because she was attacked. If it would have been Gemma, you'd have six charters on the way down here for retaliation and you'd go in guns blazing."

"I know you're angry and want to get the bastards who did this. We all do," Clay shook his head. "But we need to play it smart. One misstep and our asses are back in county. We need to be sure of who we're going after and not just go based on assumptions."

"I say we talk to her, if she says Zobelle was responsible then by all means we'll retaliate. No questions or vote needed," Clay reassured Piney and Opie. "But until she gives us a clear answer, we wait."

"This is bullshit," Jax angrily shook his head as he walked with Piney and Opie. "We know it was Zobelle. Mayans had no reason to come into Charming and if they did they wouldn't attack Carrie."

"And Georgie has no way of knowing who's connected to us," Opie shook his head. "It wouldn't have been him."

"We'll we're about to confirm it," Piney stated before knocking and opening Carrie's door.

"Hey, she's sleeping." Donna softly informed them.

Opie stepped closer to Donna, not taking his eyes off Carrie's bruised body. "Where are the kids?"

"Gemma's with them in the waiting room."

Jax roughly exhaled, being able to take his eyes off Carrie. "She say anything about who did this?"

Donna shook her head. "Not that I know. By the time I got here, she was already sleeping."

Jax looked towards Opie and Piney. "Alright, how do you want to play this out?"

"Let her rest," Piney said as he sat down in the chair next to her bed. "You two go to the garage. Get some work like Clay wanted. I'll stay here and keep watch, once she wakes up I'll ask her."

"I can stay with Piney," Donna said looking up at Opie.

"You go on home darling," Piney replied. "Take the kids home, they don't need to be bored here. I'll call once she wakes up and after I'm done talking to her. Then I'll go and switch with you so you can be here with her."

"Aren't you supposed to be at work?"

"I decided to stop by before work," Tara shrugged, taking a seat before looking at Gemma. "Jax is going Nomad."

"What?" Gemma stood walking towards the window. Looking for her son's bike.

"Wouldn't that be a good thing? Take as step back from everything going on?"

"No, the last thing you want is him being scattered around states. No charter or home," Gemma shook her head. Before turning to look at Tara. "He'd be out on the road alone, no protection."

"Were you even going to tell me?"

"I was, just got a little distracted with recent developments," Jax answered before taking a seat by his mother's desk.

"Is it a for sure thing?"

"Yeah," Jax nodded. "Vote's tonight."

Gemma shook her head. "I know shit between you and Clay has gotten rough. But won't you at least think about it? Isn't there some other way to work through it without you leaving?"

"It won't be forever ma," Jax said trying to reassure his mother. "Maybe just a couple years."

"Until Clay steps down?"

Jax shrugged but didn't answer.

"It wasn't just t-shirts and shit in that box," Gemma looked at Jax, seeing him nod in confirmation. "He wrote that after Thomas died. He was angry and lost during that time, John was in a dark place."

"I know. I remember."

"Then you know not to take it completely to heart," Gemma reached for Jax's hand, softly squeezing it before letting go. Leaning back into her chair. "I loved your father more than any man I've ever loved."

"He was a great lay," Gemma said causing Jax to chuckle. "Handsome, big heart, remind you of anyone? He was a good man but he was also complicated and his complications led to his death."

Jax furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?"

"I don't think your father's death was an accident. I think his complications managed to weigh down on him and he took it out onto the road," Gemma admitted before shaking her head. "I just don't want the same thing that happened to to him, happen to you."

"It won't," Jax reassured her.

"Just think everything completely through baby, you have your son and family who need you. Read page 449, maybe it'll offer some insight." Gemma stated looking at Jax, hoping he would change his mind.

Not to mention, you might have another one on the way soon, Gemma thought but kept it quiet for now. Even though she wanted to share that information in hopes it would make him stay.

"Do you remember anything from the attack?"

Carrie stared at the foot of the bed. "We were in some cabin maybe, I'm not sure but it was quiet there was no sound of cars passing by."

"Did you see anything? The person or persons who attacked you? Any features you might remember or any details that can help us figure out who did this."

Carrie shook her head before looking up at Unser. "It was really dim in there, I know it was a man but he never let me see him. He always stayed out of the light and I never saw how many more were there," Carrie lied while shaking her head. Silently thanking whoever was listening that it sounded believable. "So I couldn't tell you if he was alone or if he had company."

She could practically feel Piney's narrowed gaze staring a hole into the side of her head. He had asked her about the incident when she woke up and she had told him the same thing. Only he hadn't been as convinced as Unser seemed to be.

"Nothing else you remember?"

"No, that's it," Carrie answered, watching as Unser nodded and closed his little notebook.

"Okay, this isn't much to go on but if you remember anything. Any little detail can help to nail down who did this," Unser stated before looking her directly in the eyes. "You don't have to be afraid. You can come to me or you can go directly to the club."

"Thank you Chief," Carrie replied because him to sigh before bidding them a good day. Turning to walk out of the room. "Hey, Chief, where's David?"

Unser turned around to face her again. "He's at the station, I didn't mention this as he's too close to it. Didn't want his concern for you to cloud his judgment or have him act irrationally."

Carrie nodded. "Keep it that way. I'll eventually let him know."Unser nodded before leaving and Piney and Carrie sat in tense silence.

Until Piney spoke up breaking it. "Why didn't you tell him who did it?"

"Because like I don't know who it is Pop," Carrie answered, fidgeting with the blanket.

"Bullshit, you know who it is. Why you're not pointing fingers, I don't know. But you better start talking soon," Piney shook his head. "You're being too damn stubborn."

"Remind you of any one?" Carrie retorted smirking as he rolled his eyes. Before letting it drop. "If I remembered. I would let you know but I don't, so just drop it."

"It could help to sway some things, if you spoke up."

Carrie looked at piney. "Change what things?"

"Jax has decided to go Nomad, I'm pretty sure this secured his decision further."

"Nomad?" Carrie shook her head. "And why would this push him further into that decision?"

"He's leaving Charming," Piney stated, causing Carrie's heart to drop. "He's not going to have a set charter. He'll be out there on his own."

Piney closely looked at Carrie making sure he had her attention. "If you told him the truth, it'd make him stay. I see the way he looks at you and I see the way you look at him. I may be old but I'm not stupid."

"Jax pushed Clay to put protection on you but Clay decided to wait on it," he said leaning back into the chair. "Now here you are and Jax blames Clay but they already had built tension between them. They had been butting heads for a while and this might have just tipped him off the edge."

Carrie didn't reply, instead she just sat there contemplating the information Piney had given her.

"Is it true that Jax is going Nomad?"

Gemma looked towards the clubhouse before sighing. "They're voting on it right now, Piney tell you?"

"Yeah, told me to speak up about the attack. I lied and said I didn't know who it was but Piney called me out on my bullshit. Said to come clean to Jax, that maybe it would help to change his mind. I guess I waited too long."

"You aren't late sweetheart, he hasn't left yet," Gemma said as she saw Piney come out and ride off. Before taking a deep breath and letting it out. "I'm going to come clean to them myself. Hopefully it can bring him and Clay closer together, help them to set whatever shit they have aside and work together."

Carrie sighed. "If you're telling him about you, then tell him about me too."

"You want me to leave the baby out?" Gemma questioned as Jax came out of the door stopping in front of Tara. "You know he might bring Tara along, she's here."

"Tell him everything," Carrie said before sighing. "I'll deal with the blowback later. I'm sure there's bound to be some."

"You have no idea. But I'll be in your corner, even if that baby isn't Jax's."

Gemma took a deep breath before slowly letting it out. Trying to keep the courage to come clean. "The night of Bobby's party, I wasn't in a car accident. I was attacked. There were three of them but the one who spoke, he had a tattoo on his throat. I recognized his voice as Zobelle's right hand, Weston," she said, fearing that she wouldn't be able to continue but the words just kept coming and the weight started to lift off her shoulders. And before she knew she was uttering the words, she didn't think she would be able to admit. "I was raped that night. More than once."

Jax angrily slammed his fist on the table, startling Tara but Gemma had seen it coming, before standing up coming to comfort her. "That's not all," Gemma sighed. "The attack on Carrie, that was Weston too. Told her since I had failed to relay the message that she would do it instead. It's be a lesson to learn for both the club and Hale. Told her the same thing, that you guys were done with guns. That if she didn't say anything they would come after the rest of the old ladies and anyone affiliated with the club. Weston was going to rape her but I guess Zobelle called him or something because Carrie said he ordered the rest of the guys to leave before knocking her out."

Gemma looked down at the table. "That's not all," Gemma said, glancing between Tara and Jax. Before finally settling her eyes on her son and Clay. "She's pregnant and it might be yours Jackson."

And there it is.

This is probably the longest chapter I've written yet.

Who do you think the father is David or Jax?

What will Tara do now that she knows too?

Let me know your theories and what you guys think.
