Master Never Dies
Featuring Missy
She felt a strange sensation that she had never felt before. Trapped. Alone. Without hope. Without witness. Without reward. Her younger self had been a lovely man. She missed being him. She remembered being him and struggling to his TARDIS and regenerating. But that had been so long ago. She now lay on her back, gazing up at the holographical sky, dying. That was the sensation she felt. She was dying.
She wasn't dying. She was in a white room and surrounded by three Time Lords. Yes, they were Time Lords alright. If only she had her laser screwdriver. Why did she have to get a sonic umbrella?
"Master, get up now." demanded the Time Lord that was dressed in the golden robes with the golden collar.
"I'm not dead." she remarked, grinning at them, "You clever boys. You brought me back."
"You won't be alive for much longer if you do not do as I say."
"Tell me more."
"We have received word of suspicious activities onboard an asteroid within the Time Vortex and we want you, Master, to investigate it."
"Do I get a TARDIS?"
The central Time Lord nodded and vanished.
Missy then found herself inside a TARDIS and danced around the console room, excited by the prospect of her freedom.
"Master, would you concentrate on what you need to do for once?" came a familiar voice. An oldish woman was harsh eyes and a cold soul stared at him from the scanner. It was Cardinal Ollistra.
"Hello Ollistra, why would you be here? I've got what I need." Missy responded, ignoring a loud bleep that came from the hexagonal console.
"I just came to send you the co-ordinates for the asteroid within the Time Vortex and to wish you good luck. Gallifrey's war effort depends on what you do."
The image of Ollistra vanished completely and the TARDIS arrived with a thud.
Outside, Missy saw the blue shades of light flash past as the asteroid flew through the Time Vortex. She didn't have her sonic umbrella but she still wore her purple corset and brown tie. She then noticed a group of hooded monks circling a well filled with blue light. She decided to stroll over to them and suspected they were what Ollistra wanted her to defeat.
"Ooh, hello!" she called to them, dancing along the grey rocky ground, "I want to know what you're doing here because the Time Lords want you stopped!"
The three monks noticed Missy immediately and fired vortexes of blue energy at her. She dodged them easily, hiding behind a large grey rock that blocked the vortexes easily.
"The intruder must be stopped!" she heard one of the monks cry, as they abandoned their well and started to search for her. Rather annoyingly, her TARDIS's chameleon circuit hadn't activated yet.
"Oh well, better than a police box I suppose." she muttered, picking up a rock and hurling it at one of the monks. He collapsed and the other two monks turned to face her and ran towards her rapidly.
"The intruder must be halted." one of the monks cried, as Missy hurled two rocks at him.
In a matter of moments, she had disabled the three monks and was examining the strange well the monks had been observing a few moments ago. She saw images of the Doctor, in several of his incarnations as well as some she didn't recognise. Most notably, she saw the image of a young woman with short blond hair and curious eyes, dressed in a black bowtie and a long black coat.
"Well, she's very stylish. Very James Bond." Missy remarked, reaching into the well and pulling something familiar from out of it: it was a Tissue Compression Eliminator. That was an old thing. But perhaps that was the thing she needed to win. She smiled and walked back to her TARDIS, zapping each monk with her Tissue Compression Eliminator as she walked.
Inside her TARDIS, she activated the dematerialisation control and wondered what she should do next. She had completed her mission for the Time Lords and now she had the universe to explore.
"Well done, Master." Ollistra congratulated her, via the monitor, "You now have your freedom. Enjoy it while it lasts. We may need your help again."
"Pleasure to help, ma'am." Missy replied, saluting her as a little joke.
Many adventures and kidnapped Ogrons later...
Missy had not anticipated how bad her day would get. It had started off as a little scheme to try and conquer the colony planet of Kovaria, but she had ran into Cybermen and her TARDIS had vanished. She helped the colonists to defeat the Cybermen and her TARDIS returned. But she was dying. She had been hit by countless blasts and electrocuted thousands of times.
"Oh I hope I'm not a man." she said, activating the dematerialisation control. The time rotor rose and fell and her TARDIS dematerialised, sending her into the Time Vortex.
The regeneration process was short and brief. Her female face changed into a young Indian man, with a slight beard and an evil, satisfied grin.
"Aah! Now this is good!" he cried, before noticing that he still was wearing a corset and saying, "Oh and this definitely will have to go."
The TARDIS, affected by the regeneration process, spun through the vortex, heading towards Peladon, in the distant future...
