"You ready?"

Carrie towards the open door, as she grabbed her bag. "Yeah. Jax and the guys not back yet?"

Half Sack shook his head, "They went down to the station to keep an eye on things."

Carrie nodded before walking out and closing the door behind her. Following Half sack out the club doors, briefly separating as he went towards his bike and she went over to Donna who stood by her car.

"You know I could have driven myself? I already have one babysitter," Carrie said nodded over towards the prospect who was waiting for them.

"Yeah, but I wanted to be there for emotional support," Donna shrugged. "And I may be having baby fever, so I'll just live this pregnancy vicariously through you. At least until I convince Ope to knock me up."

Carrie laughed as they got into the car. "He doesn't want anymore kids?"

"Oh, he wants them, he just doesn't know it yet."

Carrie shook her head, silently praying for his brother and Donna. Knowing how stubborn those two could be. Especially when they set their minds on something.

"Doctor will be in with you shortly."

Carrie and Donna were quiet as they watched the nurse close the door, followed by hearing her chart being placed on the door. Carrie felt the nerves start to set in, causing her heart begin to race, before turning to Donna, "Guess this it huh, the moment of truth."

"You can't ignore it forever," Donna shrugged. "It's better to know the truth instead of just guessing or putting it off because you're scared. Not to mention David and Jax deserve to know who the father is."

"I know, but it doesn't make it any easier," Carrie sighed, shaking her head. "If it turns out that Jax is the father, how the hell am I going to make this work? I'm not only going to have to deal with the man who broke my heart but I'm going to have to deal with Tara too."

"And if it's David's baby?"

"I care about him. I do, I would never want to hurt him," Carrie said before Donna cut her off.

"But you're not in love with him," Donna stated, as Carrie slowly nodded in agreement.

"Whoever is the father, while I know they're going to be there for the baby," Carrie sighed while shaking her head. "If Jax is the father, I don't expect him to leave Tara and be with me. We have a lot of issues, I can't fully trust him not to leave me in the dust and he's not willing to fully let Tara go. We can't begin a relationship like that, no matter how much I love him or want him."

She looked at Donna, before looking at her hands in her lap. "If David is the father, while I care about him," Carrie shook her head. "I can't lead him on and stay with him because of the baby."

"So, whoever the father is doesn't matter because you don't plan on being with them," Donna said, watching Carrie closely as she nodded.

"I need to focus on myself and the sure that this thing with Weston doesn't result in complications and the only way to do that is to be myself. I just hate that I'm going to be hurting David in the process no matter what the outcome is," Carrie shook her head.

Donna didn't have time to respond, there was a knock on the door followed by the doctor walking in. "Hello, I'm ," she greeted, shaking both of their hands. "Which one of you is the expectant mother?"

Carrie raised her hand and watched as the older blonde woman, in her mid-forties, gave her a bright smile. "Okay, then I'm going to need you to go ahead and get up on the examine table," she said patting it gently before taking a seat a seat on the rolling stool in front of it.

"So I see here, you were in an accident two days ago and was admitted because of it." Dr. Miller looked up, looking at the bruises on her face but not delving further into. Since she had read the notes on the computer, while going over her medical case. "I read over the lab results and doctor's notes and I know we did a urine test for pregnancy earlier but that's just regulations. Since blood work that you had done not that long ago determined the pregnancy."

"What I'm going to have you do, is lay back and lift your shirt and unbutton your jeans. I'm going to do an ultrasound to check on the baby and determine how far along you are," she informed, waiting for her to lay back before shutting the lights in the room. "The gel might feel a little cold and you might feel a little pressure as I move the transducer probe around."

Carrie looked up at the ceiling, as the doctor silently worked. Occasionally hearing her click on some buttons, taking her time in checking everything. Before Dr. Miller finally spoke up, causing Carrie to turn to look at her. "The good news is, there doesn't seem to be any trauma to the we don't have to worry about placental abruption, due to the trauma you went through two days ago."

"There doesn't seem to be any trauma to the fetus either. It looks perfectly healthy and is measuring where it's supposed to be for nine weeks," Dr. Miller explained, before showing her on the screen, causing Donna to lean forward in her seat. "There it is is right there and there is your baby's heartbeat," she said, before clicking on a button, letting the whooshing sound fill the room.

Carrie sighed in relief at seeing and hearing that her baby was okay. Before tearily, glancing at Donna, who gave her a bright smile even though she was teary eyed as well. They were both soaking in the good news before Donna spoke up, "Nine weeks? So you'd be a little over two months."

"Go ahead and wipe your stomach," Dr Miller said, turning the lights back on as Carrie cleaned up before sitting up. "Yes, by the measurements and last known menstrual cycle, you're at 2 months and 1 week into the first trimester. I'm going to give you a prescription for prenatal vitamins that you have to start taking."

Two months and that meant only one thing, Jax was the father. Carrie looked over at Donna, while Dr. Miller wrote the prescription, seeing that she had come to the realization as well.

"Here you go," she handed Carrie the prescription. "Given that your last period was January 5th, you're looking at October 12th as your due date," she informed, after she had made her calculations, before looking up at her. "Given that this is your first pregnancy, and due dates in general tend to differ, you could be having the baby a week before or a week after your due date. I want to to see you again in three weeks for your next appointment."

They drove over to the station, after filling her prescription, Carrie dreading what she was going to do.

"You can always wait a couple of days you know," Donna pointed out as she pulled into the station parking lot.

"I can't put it off, if I do I'll never get the courage to do it," Carrie said, before getting out of the car. Waiting for Donna, while looking up at the station, noticing the guys standing around the entrance. " Looks, like the whole gang is here, minus Piney."

"Hey sweetheart, how'd it go?" Gemma asked as they walked up the steps.

"Everything is looking good, baby's healthy," Carrie answered and before anyone could ask who the father was, Unser walked out turning all the attention onto him.

"What's going on?" Clay questioned as they all crowded around closer to Unser.

"Stahl's been locked in one of the interrogation rooms with FBI for two hours now," he answered looking around, shaking his head. "I don't know what going on regarding Zobelle."

Jax shook his head. "What about Weston?"

"I'm still waiting to hear about him," Unser shook his head. "Sorry, but that's all I know," he said before walking back into the station.

"Half Sack you stay with my mom and Tara," Jax said watching as Clay talked to Gemma before turning to Tara. "You two go ahead and head back to the clubhouse. We'll be over there once we know what's going on."

Tara glanced at Donna and Carrie before looking back at Jax, "Okay." She said before kissing him and walking down the steps, waiting by her car for his mother.

Jax looked up to see Carrie look away, as she wrapped her arms around herself. Making him sigh before looking at Opie who raised an eyebrow at him, causing Jax to shake his head and shrug.

"Are you two coming?" Gemma questioned as she stopped by Carrie and Donna.

"I got to talk to some people first," Carrie answered.

"We'll be talking later," Gemma pointed at Carrie, before kissing her and Donna on the cheek. "You two take care and be safe on the way back."

"We will, grandma," Carrie softly answered, so no one else could hear, looking at Gemma. Who looked at her in shock, before giving her a smirk, making Carrie smile and Donna laugh in response.

"Now you really better be safe," Gemma answered before walking down the steps.

Carrie turned to look at Donna. "I'm going to go talk to David," she announced, before sighing turning to go into the station.

Donna grabbed on her arm." Shouldn't you tell Jax first."

Carrie shook her head. "I need get the bad news over with first," she answered, before turning to walk through the doors.

"I have something to give you, follow me."

"I have to talk to David," Carrie said, causing Stahl to turn around.

"This won't take long," she answered before motioning for her to follow her.

Stepping into an empty office, Stahl grabbed a folder off the desk, turning around and handing it to Carrie.

"What's this?"

"That is your real birth and adoption documents," Stahl answered, sitting on the edge of the desk. "I forged the other ones, in hopes it would get me a way into the club. I'm sorry."

Carrie narrowed her eyes at her. "Why are you telling me this now?"

"I guess you can thank it on my new found conscience," Stahl answered. "By the way, I heard about the attack on you and Gemma at the hand of Zobelle. Unfortunately, we can't touch him so he's walking out of here. I just wanted you to know in case you run into him on your way out."

Carrie nodded, before leaving the office, bumping into David. "We need to talk."

David stared at his desk, mulling over the news that Carrie had just told him. Before looking up at her. "So what does this mean for us?"

Carrie sighed. "You're a great guy and I care about you, but I need time to figure things out. I need to finishing processing everything and focus on the baby."

"Don't you mean figure things out with Jax?"

"I need to figure that out too, see how we're going to go about this," Carrie said before shaking her head. "I'm not ending our relationship to be with him David. I'm ending this because I don't think it's fair to you that I may not feel the same as you do."

"I care about you Carrie, it may not be love but I do care about you. Can you same the same for him? Does he even truly care about you?"

"I don't know but we don't choose we love," Carrie softly answered. "I'm sorry, I never wanted to hurt you. That wasn't my intention, I really did try to make myself feel something more for you. I love you David, I do, but I'm not in love with you like you need me to be."

"No, you're just in love with a man who doesn't feel the same way," David spoke before clenching his jaw. Looking away, shaking his head before looking back at her. "Just take care of yourself, I'd hate for something to happen to you because of him," he softly said. "If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always come to me. Just because we're not together doesn't mean I'll stop caring about you."

Carrie nodded. "The same goes for me, I'll always be here as a friend," she said giving him a soft smile, before walking out of his office door. Leaving hm to stare after her, feeling a little heart broken but understanding of the situation. Knowing that you couldn't force love, it came naturally.

"Zobelle and Weston are both walking."

"I know, wait what? Weston was in here too?" Carrie furrowed her brow, looking at Jax.

"He got arrested for burning down CaraCara, Chucky witnessed it but they're letting him walk because the testimony doesn't hold up," Jax explained.

Carrie shook her head, before sighing and looking away. "I just broke up with David," she softly admitted. "The baby is yours, I'm nine weeks and due in October."

"Did you break up with him because of this?"

"Partly but mostly because I can't be with someone I'm not in love with. I didn't think it was fair to lead him on," Carrie said looking at him. "We have to talk things out, make a plan on what we're going to do. But I'm not asking you to leave Tara and be with me because of the baby."

"Focus on dealing with Zobelle and Weston first. We can talk about this afterwards, I just wanted to let you know," Carrie said looking at him. "Just make sure you have a clear head, don't let thins get in the way of things."

"I'm clear headed babe. I'm going to deal with him. I promise you that," Jax said, before softly placing his hand on her stomach. Looking down at it before kissing her forehead. "Don't worry about me, worry on keeping this one safe. I'll take care of the rest and I'll protect the both of you."

The doors opened behind them, Zobelle and his daughter stepped out coming down the steps followed by David and a couple of other officers.

"My guys will escort you wherever you need to go," David said but Zobelle shook his head and motioned his daughter to move towards the car.

"That won't be necessary Deputy Chief," he stated just as the sound of motorcycle engines roared down the street.

Jax cursed under his breath before softly pushing Carrie towards Unser, seeing Opie doing the same to Donna. Before they both joined the rest of the club in staring down their rival.

Feeling the tension in the air, they silently watched as Zobelle drove out of the lot followed by his Mayan escort. Jax briefly pointed to Unser, silently telling him to make sure the girls got back safely, before getting on his bike like the rest of the guys and taking off behind them.

"There's not going to be another battle in Charming," David angrily stated to Unser. While Carrie and Donna silently watched the scene, before David left them to go into the station.

"Too late war, has already started," Unser answered, watching as David walked away, before sighing and turning to them. "Let's go, I'll follow you girls back to the clubhouse."

Donna and Carrie shared a glance, Carrie feeling a moment of dread. Both girls knowing something bad was on the way. The ominous feeling, left behind after the mini show down, made sure of that.

"Weston out yet?"

Unser nodded. "Yeah, Hale got Eglee to give him an escort out of town. He's making a stop to see his kids first. They're at Sanwa CFS."

"I'll catch him at family services," Jax said buckling his helmet again since he was still on his bike, having just gotten back from visiting Otto and and telling him about Zobelle being a rat for the FBI.

"Hey," Unser grabbed onto Jax's bike to keep him from driving off. "No harm comes to my officer."

Jax nodded in understanding, before Opie and Chibs told him they were going along. Getting confirmation from Clay that he'd handle Zobelle, the three of them rode off. Heading to facility, ready to take care of Weston.

They had swapped their bikes for the van, making it easier to stake out and follow Weston without calling attention or tipping him off. They'd parked across from the building, keeping an eye out for him before they saw him walk out but he wasn't alone, he had his son with him. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, they followed him to his next destination.

Jax kept an eye on the tattoo shop, while Chibs made a call to figure out why Weston had one of his kids with had gone to check the place out to see how difficult it would be to go in and get to Weston.

"They gave Weston a supervised visitation with his kid. Unser's cop is chaperoning the visit," Chibs informed as he sat down in the passenger seat. "Little Cliffy couldn't make it, they have him in a psych evaluation."

Jax scoffed, remembering how the kid had shot at him when they had gone looking for Weston at his place. "Go figure," he said before Chibs scooted to the back as Opie opened the passenger door.

"There's two customers, the two tattoo artists, the cop and the kid in there," Opie informed as he sat down, not taking his eyes off of the shop doors.

"Freddy a friend?" Jax asked, referring to the shop's owner.

Opie shrugged. "I think so."

"This might be the only chance we get to get to Weston," Jax looked at Opie, who nodded in understanding. "Make the call."

"Get rid of the kid."

Weston sighed before leaning down to talk to his son. "Dukie, I gotta talk to these guys, go back out there but don't say anything. No matter what happens, you don't ever talk to the cops," kissing Dukie on the head. "I love you," he stated, before pushing out the door Opie held open.

Jax could see Weston was resigned about his fate. Which would have impressed him, had he not been the one to rape his mother and harm the mother of his child. Remembering those facts, made the anger come back tenfold but knowing that it would soon be resolved, sated the need for revenge.

"He never sees this," Weston stated, talking about what was going to happen. He didn't want his son to live with seeing him in the manner they would leave him.

Jax nodded once before watching as Weston made his way into the bathroom stall. Sitting down on the toilet, looking down at his shoes before taking a deep steadying breath and looking up to meet his fate.

Jax took aim, clenching his jaw before firing off his gun with the silencer on. Letting out a deep breath feeling the relief that Weston wouldn't be able to hurt his mother or Carrie anymore.

Carrie walked into the bar room just as the guys had finished taking their shots. Making eye contact with Jax, he walked over to her meeting her half way.

"It's done," he simply stated and she didn't have to ask what he meant.

She sighed in relief before wrapping her arms around him. Breathing in his cologne, the scent of leather and cigarettes enveloping her in a sense of comfort. Feeling protected in his arms, as he gave her a comforting squeeze before kissing her head. Leaning his forehead against hers, she closed her eyes before slowly opening them, staring into his blue eyes.

"I'm not going to let anything or anyone hurt you. Either of you, I promise," Jax stated before he leaned back, cupping her face with his hands.

"So, I take it you're the one who knocked her up," Piney called out, causing them to pull apart.

"Way to ruin the moment Piney," Donna pointed out shaking her head.

Carrie and Jax shook their heads, while they both silently agreed with Donna. Only Carrie was a little relieved otherwise she would have melted into his arms and what was sure to be one hell of a kiss. Which was the last thing she needed to muddle her decision making, knowing that a talk needed to happen between the two of them.

But that wasn't going to be anytime soon, it seemed like the talk they needed to have would be prolonged even further, because Clay got a call and called church. Nothing was said as the doors were closed behind them but Donna and Carrie shared a knowing glance, knowing it had to do with Zobelle.

The silent question running through their minds was answered when the double doors were swung open, the guys filing out and each of them armed. They silently walked past and out the club doors. Leaving them to hope for the better and pray that every single one of them made it back in one piece.

"Hey, sweetheart, I'm going to need a favor from you."

"Yeah, what is it Chief?" Carrie questioned as Unser pulled her aside, making sure no one was within earshot.

"I need you to pack a duffle bag full of Gemma's clothes," Unser informed her.

Carrie nodded. "Everything okay?"

Unser shook his head. "Can you keep a secret?"

Carrie hesitated, not liking where this was going, but nodded anyways.

"Gemma's on the run," he shrugged. "I don't know anymore details, but she asked me to ask you to pack a bag for her."

Carrie's eyes widened before shaking her head, wondering what Gemma had done to make her go on the run. But she went to do as she was asked, silently cursing the SAMCRO matriarch. Knowing she tended to act first before asking questions, which tended to land her in trouble.

"Where's Gemma?"

"I don't know, the feds raided the place. I had to leave," Half Sack said as he leaned against the counter. "I say you call Jax and let him know."

"Shit," Tara muttered before grabbing the house phone and dialing Jax. Knowing that he was busy but this couldn't wait.

"Hello?"

"I know you're busy Jax, but I wouldn't call if it wasn't important. It's Gemma, she went after Zobelle's daughter-"

"Tara?" Jax questioned, hearing gasping on the line. "Tara!" The line cut off leaving him to hear the dial tone. "I got to go, something's wrong," he said turning back to Clay. Before getting on his bike and riding off, followed by Opie and Chibs.

"Here's the bag chief."

Unser took the duffle from Carrie."Thanks sweetheart."

Carrie nodded, giving him a soft smile. "Can you tell Gemma to call me or text me? Just so I know she's alright," Carrie said as she handed him a slip of paper with her number written down.

"Will do," Unser nodded before turning around and walking towards his police cruiser.

Carrie watched as he drove off, a felling of uneasiness hitting her. She placed her hand over her stomach, trying to settle the feeling that hit her. Hoping it was just the nerves taking a toll on her and not more. But the foreboding didn't settle, if anything it became worse.

Clay and the rest of the club watched as the kids started walking out of the little store, getting onto the bus. Leaving Zobelle alone in the store.

He was about to make a move when his phone ringing stopped him.

The last thing he expected was to hear Jax relay what he had found when he had gotten home.

"We gotta go," Clay said as he made his way towards his bike.

"What are you talking about? Zobelle is unprotected," Tig said in disbelief that Clay wanted to leave now.

"The Irish took my grandson," Clay informed causing all of them to hurry and start their bikes. Zobelle forgotten as they had a new priority and that was getting to Abel.

Jax and the club quickly made it to the docks. Haphazardly parking the bikes before running down towards the dock of the wharf. Trying to catch Cameron before he took off with Abel.

Jax could feel his legs protesting as he pushed himself further to catch him, not willing to slow down in fear that he wouldn't make it. The thundering steps behind him, pushed him further ahead.

Desperately, trying to catch him, thinking he had a chance when the boat clicked the motor failing to turn on. Jax pushed himself to run harder but felt his heart shatter when he heard the motor run, getting to the edge of the dock just in time to see the boat halfway across the water.

"He took my son," He whispered in disbelief. "He took my son!"

Jax felt his legs give out just as the tears started to run down his face. Feeling his heart breaking at the loss of his son, while feeling like a failure for not being able to get to him in time before letting out an anguished scream watching the direction where the boat had headed.

"What's wrong?"

"Can I come in?"Jax quietly questioned. Seeing the broken expression on his face, Carrie stepped aside letting him in. Quietly watching as he walked to the bed and heavily sat down at the edge.

Jax ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, before rubbing his hands down his face and leaning against them as if he were praying. Carrie leaned back against the closed door, letting Jax collect his thoughts, waiting for him to tell her what had gone wrong.

She didn't have to wait long, as Jax looked up at her with an expression fill of heartbreak and anguish. "He took my son," he brokenly whispered.

Carrie walked forward, stopping in front of him. Wiping the tears from his face, as he looked up at her. Before he wrapped his arms around her, crying int her stomach causing her to let the tears fall silently down.

She ran her hands through his hair, not saying anything but letting him cry it out of his system. Once he calmed down, she still ran her finger through his hair before lifting his head up. Looking into his tear streaked face, "We're going to get him back. So let out your emotions now because tomorrow you need to be strong and clear headed. We need to come up with a game plan in order to get Abel back," she said with conviction. "Because we will find him. Don't give up Jax."

Carrie motioned for him to lay down, watching as he got up removing his kutte and everything else he had on him but his clothes. Before she laid down and waited for him to do the same, watching as he tiredly lay next to her.

Jax placed his hand on her lower stomach beneath her belly button, running his thumb softly back and forth. Watching his movements, until his breathing started to even out and eventually falling asleep.

Carrie silently watched him, running through the day's events. Recalling how she had thought she heard him wrong until he had repeated again but she had finally gotten it. She had a million questions running through her mind, along with a million different scenarios. But she knew now wasn't the time to voice them, right now Jax needed to be comforted. The rest could wait, for tomorrow was a new day and they'd figure out a way to get Abel back.

There it is.

Both David and Jax know.

Carrie broke up with David and before you come at me. Carrie broke up with him because she doesn't love him like she should and she didn't want to lead him on. Only to have him fall or be in love with her and for her to not reciprocate the feelings. She's not the type of person to do that.

And while yes, she admitted to being in love with Jax. She knows that she doesn't trust him to run into a relationship. Plus Tara's still around, so there's that too.

But how is Tara going to react once she finds out the paternity has been confirmed?

Is the Tara/Carrie face off going to happen now that Abel was taken?

Is Half Sack dead or alive?

Let me know in the comments. I want to see your answers as well as theories/suggestions.
