Oh my gods, that made me think even more. I forgot Athena promised to remain virgin. Annabeth clarified that she thought of a child and delivered them to their mortal father. My dad never told me, why? Did he not trust me. I was in such deep thought that I didn't notice that Annabeth left me at the bottom of the steps of the Hermes cabin while she got my stuff. When she came back out I grabbed my trunk that she dragged from the cabin. She walked me to the Athena cabin and helped me set up on a bed near hers. I felt more comfortable near her.
"Lex want to go back to the campfire?" I wasn't sure but I did not want to be left alone. I reluctantly followed. Once we got back a kid from Apollo's was telling a story. I recognized it as the story of Hades and Persephone, a classic but still very good. Everyone started to stare and the Apollo kid turned to look around at what they were all staring at. Annabeth gave them a threatening stare, and they all instantly turned around.
"Welcome Alexiara Simons, daughter of Athena to camp Half-blood. Though I have given you a full welcome already twice it is better to properly welcome you as a daughter of Athena." Chiron started clapping the rest of camp was reluctant to follow but as soon as Annabeth, Percy, and Teddy started to clap and Annabeth stared them down again they started clapping too.
POV third person
By 10:30 Lexi had fallen asleep. Her head rested in Annabeth's lap.
"And that is all for tonight good night camp Half-blood! Oh and Athena cabin check your beds before sleeping." Connor Stoll announced and the campers departed.
"Hey Wisegirl wanna come to the lake?" Percy asked as he ran up to Annabeth who had Lexi's leg wrapped around her waist and her arms hugging her shoulders.
""I have to take Lex to the cabin."
"So come after that."
"Percy...listen. I think she gets scared without me. I want to stay with her while she sleeps. You know nightmares."
"Oh yeah I noticed that too."
"Sure Seaweed Brain. See you tomorrow."
"I did see it!" Protested Percy while running back to his cabin.
