The judge in chains knelt before the council. His head was slumped down in weakness. He could not break the chains, nor did he try.
"Scorpio..." The robed male judge known as Perseverance announced. "You have been accused of many charges, including spreading chaos, plotting against the council, and abusing your power. How do you plead?"
The judge known as Scorpio said nothing.
"Scorpio, if you stay silent, we will be forced to punish you regardless." The graceful female judge known as Patience explained.
Scorpio looked up at the council and at the crowd of people. He saw the leaders of both sides of the war of monster and man. He saw King Asgore of the monsters and King Arthur of the humans.
"Not guilty." Scorpio snarled. "And wrongfully accused."
"Please explain." The hunter male judge known as Justice requested.
"You claim I am spreading chaos when I only enlightened them of your tyranny." Scorpio explained. "You claim I am plotting against the council when I merely assist with what is right. You claim I am abusing my power when you abuse yours. You play with this world and the inhabitants. I am aware that one of you has caused the war between humans and monsters. You have changed the minds of people and messed with reality and if all goes wrong? You reset, sweep it under the rug to forget all about it."
"What do you mean by messing with reality?" Justice asked.
"You have changed the world by giving it a new 'theme'." Scorpio explained. "You change the main idea of it when you get bored with the original."
"Name one account that we did something like what you claim!" The strong male judge known as Bravery requested.
"Gladly." Scorpio sneered. "Do any of these names ring a bell? Outertale, Underswap, Underfell!"
The council was stunned but Scorpio wasn't done.
"And those are just the generic ones! Endertale, Glitchtale, Nightmaretale! We're working up a storm here!"
"Enough!" Bravery ordered. "You drove your point across."
"Good." Scorpio snarled. "You are the real monsters here. You are wicked gods that get bored quickly. And when you are bored, you want something new, so you try something different, no matter how many people you hurt. No matter how many people you kill."
"Are you saying that we should be the ones on trial, Scorpio?" The female judge wearing a lab coat known as Integrity asked.
"I am saying that things should be fair. You judges should also be punished for the same crimes I do."
"What you claim that we are doing is not true." The short female judge known as Kindness said softly. "We would never play with lives for our own enjoyment."
"Oh really, Pisces?" Scorpio hissed at the green judge. "You may not do much against life, but you don't do much for it either. You're too busy enjoying your luxurious lifestyle being handed to you in a bow. That goes for all of you." He looked at each member of the council.
"Taurus," Scorpio turned to the teal judge. "If you want something from life, you get it. No matter who dies. You have given the people hope only to tear it down." Patience flinched as she heard Scorpio's claims.
"Leo," Scorpio turned to the orange judge. "You treat life as a burden on you. When you are mad, you take it out on them. It's a wonder how you have not lashed out at the jury yet. And by the way, did you really get that animal skin you always wear from a beast that tried to attack a village?" Bravery clinched his fists in anger at the black judge's claim.
"Enough, Scorpio." Perseverance ordered.
"Sagittarius," Scorpio turned to the blue judge. "You have experimented on humans and monsters to see what would happen. You experimented on their body and mind for, as you would say it, 'for the sake of science.'" Integrity shook her head in denial even though she knew it was true.
"Aquarius," Scorpio turned to the purple judge. "You find the people as mere puppets that can be toyed with. You do not think of them as living beings." Perseverance looked hurt because he knew that Scorpio was right.
"I said enough, Scorpio." Perseverance commanded.
"Libra," Scorpio turned to the yellow judge. "What a lie your name is! You use humans and monsters as target practice for your bow and arrow. You've hunted men and monsters like they are savage beasts." Justice looked stunned at what he heard.
"And you, Capricorn," Scorpio turned to the red female judge known as DT. She stayed silent the entire time but looked surprised. "You are the worst one out of all of us. You have caused chaos with your shapeshifting powers. You have manipulated men to do your bidding."
"Scorpio, enough." Perseverance warned.
"You caused unnecessary pain to those around you. In fact, it was you that caused the Great War!"
The crowd gasped at this. "Scorpio, silence." Perseverance ordered.
"You killed many people from each side and blamed it on the other. No. I was there. I saw you kill those innocent villagers and blame it on the monsters. Great King Asgore and mighty King Arthur! Hear my pleas! The monsters here stand before you! They stand at the podium to decide the fate of the poor creature!"
"HATRED!" Perseverance ordered as he slammed his fist onto the arm of the chair. "I have tolerated this for far too long! We as the council of the soul hereby pronounce you guilty of your charges and sentence you to eternal banishment from the council!"
There was a stunned silence throughout the court. Scorpio looked up at the council and giggled. He laughed. It started to get louder and louder until he was cackling madly. He snapped his fingers. A large sword appeared in his hand. He yanked on the chain that held his free hand. The guard holding the chain was pulled towards Scorpio. Scorpio quickly moved his arm that held his sword, which caused the other guard to come flying towards Scorpio. Scorpio immediately stabbed his sword into the first guard. The guard dropped to the ground, injured. Scorpio then quickly spun his sword around and stabbed the second guard, who also fell to the ground. He then turned to the council and smiled sinisterly. He started to walk towards them slowly with his sword dragging behind him. He stopped.
There was a moment of silence when Scorpio stared at the council. The air was deathly still.
The ex-judge bolted towards the podium at unnerving speeds. He summoned another sword and stabbed them both into the wood. He started to climb up the podium by removing one of the swords and putting it higher. As he did, he was laughing maniacally.
When he reached the top, he quickly scanned each member of the council, who stared at him in terror. He stopped when he was at DT. He raised both of his swords and lunged towards her.
"It's your fault!" Scorpio rambled. "I'm gonna make you suffer!"
DT gasped and quickly turned her arm into a blade. Without thinking, she slashed at Scorpio's face. Scorpio fell back both screaming in pain and laughing with glee until he went unconscious.
"What do we do with him?" DT asked.
"We cast him out of here and never let him come back." Perseverance explained as both he and Bravery picked up Scorpio's unconscious body. "We will tell no one of this. Have the crowd forget about Scorpio. There were only seven judges in the council of the soul."
"Yes sir." All of the judges said at once as Scorpio was carried away.
I was there when the young Frisk fell down that mountain. I saw her climb up that mountain and as she reached the top, I could basically hear the council converse over her fate.
"I do not believe that she shall fall down yet. Not until she is older."
"Perhaps. She's not even supposed to know about the mountain until later."
"It could be nothing. Every reset is different."
"For now, she will only gaze down the mountain and then leave."
Every reset is different, they said. Let's make this special.
I watched her reach the top. She looked down the hole to the underground and I gave her gifts. I gave her free will so that she will not be a servant of that godforsaken council.
I then crept up behind her and made it so that not even the council watching over could see me.
And I gave her a little kick for good measure.
I watched her fall down that hole while screaming. I didn't know what was funnier, the thought of the council's faces when they saw the child fall by an invisible force, or her family's face when they found out that she was missing. I walked away, laughing to myself.
Now there were two living things that are no longer puppets to the council.
Hiddy ho, readers! This is the start of my very first story I made and it was the idea that there were higher beings of each of the soul types and they made the entire Undertale multiverse. So I decided to also have their real names be that of Zodiac signs. I have a really good feeling about this story though I want to get a few things sorted up.
1. I will take into consideration any ideas you may have. For example, if you guys have a better idea on what the names of the Council of the Soul should be, let me know and I will most likely use them.
2. Like another author I know, if I get enough readers, I will host a Q & A for any questions you may have.
3. If you don't like something in my story, let me know what I should change. Don't just say "Your story is shit and I hate it." Tell me what's so shitty about it and I will remove it or change it.
4. At this time, Frisk is only four years old when she fell. She was originally supposed to fall when she was eleven but Fate had other plans. But the thing is, she can't reset now because of her young age.
This story was inspired by a comic series called Kiddo made by Y3llowHatMous3. I suggest that you give that series a read while waiting for me to update my chapters.
