Chapter 67
Athena
Dread, that's was what everyone, beside Ares and his children, were feeling. Everyone woke up and they reach the shores of Athens. Armor on and weapons pulled out. The usually loud and crowded capital of Greece was silent and empty. Athena, being the deity of Athens, felt her city calling her name, announcing that there Queen was back again.
"The Acropolis." Athena mumbled. She was hoping that no one heard her, but everyone heard her because everyone was silent. They stared at her. Then Athena noticed something, snow. It was starting to snow. Lucky for everyone that Hephaestus added built in armor warmers. Khione was making it snow. It was a small flurry, but snow all the less. And a snow was heading to the Parthenon. 'My temple, no.' Athena thought as everyone figured out what was happening. Athena sprinted towards the Acropolis, everyone followed. Then the world got colder and Athena was frozen. Literally, frozen was ice surrounding her in a cocoon. Everyone stopped and saw what just happened. An icy, cold laughed rang through the city. Khione walked into view. Her black hair, snow pale skin and coffee eyes made her a white witch in a white, silk gown. Athena could hear and see, but everything else was frozen in place. Athena heard people calling her name. Khione's sword placed under Athena's neck. 'Stupid, I walked right into a trap.' Athena thought.
"That was foolish of you Athena. Walking into battle, unprepared while the enemy had an advantage. Shame, you are so much like Hera. Worthless Queen." Khione said and laughed. Everyone pulled out there weapons.
"Hurt her and I'll…" Poseidon started.
"You'll what? You should know better than anyone what my weapon does to gods, Poseidon." Khione said. 'Think Athena, you have to get out of this.' Athena thought to herself. 'Wait, I'm the Queen of the sea, which means I have power over water.' Athena thought and started to defrost herself while Khione continued,
"If I were you, I would join Gaea. Mortals are worthless and there should be a new rule of power. Gaea will win and rule." Khione laughed so hard that she didn't noticed that Athena was completely defrosted. Athena did a backbend and kick over to kick Khione sword out of her hand. The weapon landed on the ground as Athena kicked Khione's legs from under her. Athena was about to attack her again, when a beam of pink hit Khione, sending her back. Hera, in her roman form Juno, had her weapon out and said,
"Athena, you had your fun, but I have a score to settle with her." Athena nodded to Juno and said,
"Be my guest." Juno smiled and charged at Khione. Khione was able to miss a few moves until she grabbed her sword's handle. Un know to her was that Poseidon already removed the solid molecules. When Khione tried to stab Juno, the sword became a puddle on the ground.
"What? Impossible." Were Khione's last words before Juno stabbed her in the heart. Khione fell to the ground as a puddle of gold ichor surrounded her.
"We have to keep her. This world will fall with snow. Until another goddess of snow is born, Khione must live." Athena explained. Everyone nodded but was wondering what to do with her.
"We'll take her, Queen Athena." A voice said as a group landed on the ground. Zethes and Calais landed on the ground next to their sister.
"I knew she was a bad seed. Cal, you have a new hockey punk now." Zethes said.
"Hockey?" Calais asked.
"Not now, take her somewhere warm and make sure she stays there." Poseidon ordered.
"Destroy?" Calais asked.
"No." Athena and Poseidon said. They bowed and picked up their sister.
"Before we leave, Father and the other wind gods are fighting the storm spirits and flying monsters. And Apollo, can you take away Khione's voice? If she tries hard, she can convince anyone to do anything." Zethes asked. Apollo nodded and Khione would never speak again. The sons of Boreas flew, getting away from Athens.
"Let's move, hurry." Athena said. Everyone followed in suit.
They reached the Acropolis and Athena said,
"I'm fixing my temple. Once it's fixed, follow Zeus and go into the portal. I'll close it, I'll go the old famous way." Athena said. People were started to argue with her, but Athena throw head back and raised her hands. Athena sang a Greek spell and the ruins became a temple. Athena looked back at them and said,
"I'm only keeping it standing and when I let go, the Parthenon will go back to what it was. Go!" Everyone ran into the portal, but one. Athena ended the spell and turned to Poseidon.
"You stayed, why?" Athena asked.
"Making sure your safe." Poseidon answered.
"Thank you." Athena said and picked him.
"We need to go, now." Athena ordered. Poseidon nodded and they teleported to Olympus. The first Olympus.
