Howdy! 'Chapter 2, So soon?' You must be asking. Well, the truth is, I love Percabeth. Been reading this series since I was 11 and, gotta say, college has me in the same mood.

Disclaimer: I dont own PJO. I am nor Rick Riordan. I own my ideas and my spin, but it isnt really original.

Chapter The Second:

Annabeth

I am dead. Piper is going to kill me. How did I let four hours pass by like it was four minutes? A hot guy with dreamy sea-green eyes is how. Did I just think that he's hot? Oh, gods. I'm in trouble.

Flashback -

"Annabeth. Where in the hell have you been? Its 2 hours past the start of our movie night! I finally got Hazel to agree to come! Get to the On the Line ASAP." Piper wouldnt let me get a word in.

"Alright. Ill be there in 20." I sighed.

"Good. Hurry up." Piper hung up. I expected it. I turned my phone off to talk to a boy who needed help with studying. How am I gonna explain this to Piper?

Back to present -

The bell chimed announcing a customer entering the little cafe tucked away on the edge of the campus. It was a small building, with booths streatching the walls and small two seat tables scattered around. The walls were brick and the floor was a dark wood finished floor. The coffee here was to die for, and their hot chocolate wasn't half bad, depending on who was making it.

Why was I here? Partly because Piper has worked as a Barista here since sophomore year, and partly because I have a serious caffine addiction. I set my bag down as I sat at one of the barstools.

"Jesus, you finally made it. First, the most loyal employee is almost late, and second, you disappear without a trace for FOUR hours?" Piper streased her sentence to get her point accross.

"Look, i was... busy helping someone study for Calc 1." I wasnt technically lying, but Piper saw through my poorly built facade.

"Who was it?" Piper has a glint in her eyes. "It was a boy wasn't it?" I looked away, feeling my cheeks heat up. "Oh my gods! I was! Was he hot? Dont tell me you actually spent all four hours studying?" Piper leaned onto the counter.

"Chill, Pipes. Yeah, it was a guy." I could tell i looked like a tomato. "I guess he was hot. He is really funny."

"Okay..." Piper sipped a cup of coffee. "I forgot! Will is going out of town for the winter break and I need a replacement. You know I would ask anyone else if I could. I need your help." Piper set her cup down and grabbed my hand.

"You know I can't say no to that face." Piper laughed at my statement.

I heard a familiar, though i couldnt place it, voice call from the back, "Panpipes, the muffins are done!" The voice rapidly was approaching the door to the shop area. "Cake has about 10 more minutes on it before-" The voice stopped when he walked though the door and saw me. It was the four hour time sink I had earlier.

"Oh yeah, I never got to introduce you two!" Piper clapped her hands together. Annabeth this is-" I cut her off.

"The Perseus Jackson." I muttered my cheeks returning to a rosy pink colour.

"What is it with you and this 'The Percy.' Piper, what have you been telling people about me?" Percy's eyes never left mine.

"Wait, I, whaaaaat? Since when do you two," Piper looked between us, "Know eachother."

"About 5 hours ago, Grover didnt show up to the library to help me study, so I called him, Juniper's sick by the way, and he couldn't show. Miraculously, as if the gods sent her, Annabeth overheard that I was SOL for a tutor and we studied for a bit." Percy smiled at that last part.

"You never told me that this." Piper pointed at Percy. "Was the hot guy you were studying with for FOUR hours." Piper smiled. "Percy, mind if I have a word with you in the back?"

Oh gods. Im in a situation. I already committed to working with Piper to cover Will's shift, and the guy who has been on my mind since I met him works here. I'm screwed. Absolutely screwed. Almost as if on cue, Percy poked his head out the door and smiled at me before giving me a wink.

A few minutes later the two came back into the shop, Percy carried a Barista apron for On the Line. "You're with me tomorrow if you are covering Will. No one covers his shift but me, usually."

"That's cause he normally misses to go on a date with Your cousin." Piper offhandedly.

"Who am I to get in the way of young love?" Percy looked like he was attacked.

"I really appreciate you covering for Will. It means alot." Piper handed me another coffee. "This is on the house."

"Thanks, Pipes." I graciously take the coffee.

"No problem. Now, I have a date with Jason in an hour, so I am going to get ready for that." Piper closed out the register and Percy opened it back up.

"Say hi to Thalia for me!" Percy called as she exited the building. "Isn't she great?"

"She is wicked cool." I set my coffee down.

"Im surprised she ended up with Jason."

"Im surprised Jason ended up with her." We talked in unison. "Whoah! Stop that." We both started laughing. I think I like him.

Really though. Be ruthless. I wanna get as much info on how to improve as possible. Writting is a hobby, and I am also working on storyboarding a book titled "The Gyrfalcon," [An action, sci-fi book with some romance and the female lead is based off of the first girl I fell in love with!]
