Hey, it's... been a while. A long while. Nearly four years since I last decided to post an update here, but I figured I might, especially because it's about time I tell people about a little project I've been working on...
As a lot of you know, I moved to DeviantArt and Inkbunny a long time ago, and I've been working on mostly unrelated stuff to this for that whole time, but I've come to you all today to tell you that I'm working on a project you might just be interested in.
It's not a Sonic story, and it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I take the ideas I experimented with in this story, like trauma and loss and how they shape those who we normally see as charismatic superheroes, and run with them. It took me years to get this idea completely off the ground. Coming up with a unique superhero isn't exactly easy. A lot of it's been done before, and I'm sure there are similarities that this new character of mine has to an existing superhero that I don't know about, but I'll be damned if I don't use the ideas I tried working with in here.
So... I have begun writing a story to introduce to you to Kristoffer Kingsley, better known by his alias of Cypher. He's a fennec fox who loses his family in very similar ways to what I have Sonic go through in this story, and my hope is that those of you who read it will be similarly interested in Kris' story as you were in my take of Sonic's story.
I have the prolog and first chapter up on my DeviantArt page under the username ParadoxPandox, and I hope anyone who comes across this story now will go give it a read, but if not, I understand. I'm pretty sure nobody even still uses this site actively, anyway, especially not any of my followers.
Well, I hope you're all doing all right with the whole pandemic thing going on right now, and maybe you can spend some of that free time and go read my story. :3
