I'm not sure if this will turn into a little bit of lemon and/or smut, so it will stay as a 'T' rating. It might change in the future, but who knows. Let's just hurry up and get this show onto the road.

(Posted on 5-6-20 My Bday!)

In the time that it took him, Jaune was actually kind of happy with his progress. As a person who, other than maybe a scuffle or two back in Ansel, had no prior training or combat experience, he was doing good as an aspiring hunter-in-training.

His happy thoughts weren't unwarranted, however. The Vytal festival was coming up soon, he had won a match two weeks ago, and he had finally gotten the new issue of a comic he liked. He was the most confident he has ever been ever since joining Beacon.

He couldn't wait. Beacon wasn't ready for this type of Jaune Arc. Gone was the scared, awkward and weak teen. He had gotten stronger.

The blonde boy had just recently woken up with a big smile on his face. The mornings these past few days have been so nice, he just couldn't help it. He got up and stretched, muscles popping, a refreshing feeling coming over him.

Everybody in the dorm room besides him was asleep. He had woken up a little earlier than normal today. He quietly got into his school uniform after freshening up.

He was on his way down to the cafeteria. Yesterday, Pyrrha seemed to have upped the difficulty of their training. Jaune could only guess that he was finally taking a step forward, and that he was getting better. That wasn't the only thing getting better, however.

The relationship between the red haired girl and Jaune had always been really good. But as of late, he couldn't help but look at her a little bit longer than usual. Of course, he didn't look for too long. That would make him look a little weird. No, Jaune had noticed her just a little bit more.

He knew she was a beautiful girl, and he was pretty sure everybody else in the world who had working eyes could say the same. But it just felt different. Every time he saw the smile on her face, every time he saw her emerald green eyes sparkle whenever she got a test back with a complete 100%...

It made him feel warm.

It made his face feel hot, but it didn't make him sick, and he never felt like he had a fever. It was weird. He had never experienced this kind of feeling. Maybe he just felt that he and her have grown just really close as friends?

He didn't know. However, he could just ponder about this feeling later. He just got to the cafeteria, and smelled the amazing aroma when walking in.

Pancakes. And bacon as well.

When Jaune got his food, he searched for a place to sit. He saw some transfer students eating at a nearby table. SSSN was the team's name. At least he thought so. On second thought, maybe he shouldn't. He really didn't know them that well.

He looked around for other people. Familiar faces popped up, such as Coco and team CFVY and Cardin and his cronies. Thankfully, he saw faces that he actually knew. Two of them in fact. He put one a friendly smile and walked over to greet them.

"Hey Ruby, hey Weiss. Mind if I take a seat?" He said. The both of them looked up at him as he spoke.

"Sure Jaune, pull out a chair!" Ruby said to her first friend. She didn't mind if he sat down there. In fact, she was happy when she saw him.

Weiss, though, had other plans.

"Um, excuse me." The Schnee heiress said.

"We were actually doing something here. Something important, and something you," She pointed her finger at him, "Don't need to hear."

Jaune's smile fell. "Oh. Well, alrighty then. See you guys later I guess…" He scratched the back of his and left the two girls.

"Don't worry Jaune, we were just discussing our team tactics! No hard feelings!" Jaune heard Ruby yell behind him. He turned around and gave her another, softer smile, which she returned

He walked away and sat at another table, by himself. He took out his scroll to watch some videos on YourTube. He was currently watching a channel called HenFace, called the Achievement Finders. Pretty funny guys.

It had been a couple of minutes when he heard a chair being pulled out right next to him. He looked up and saw her, the girl who had been on his mind this past few couple of days. The girl he couldn't get out of his mind.

Pyrrha Nikos. The invincible girl, Cereal Girl, Star student, whatever the hell you called her, was his partner in crime.

The crime part came from him, as he did lie his way and forge illegal transcripts to get into Beacon, but that was neither here nor there. At least he thought so. Pyrrha never seemed the type to commit any crimes, though.

"Good morning, Jaune." She greeted him. It took him a second to reply back to her, staring straight into those beautiful gems she called eyes. "Uhh… Yeah. Morning." He replied back. Pyrrha smiled in return. "How are you doing? I may have gone a little overboard yesterday during our training session. Are you sore anywhere?"

He shook his head. His aura had been there afterwards. He felt sore for maybe only an hour or so, but it had gone away in time. He guessed that having an aura as big as his had its uses. "Well, that's good. You've been getting a lot better recently. Your progress has been quite steady. I won't be surprised if you win another one of your practice matches soon!" She ended with another smile.

He couldn't help but blush at the praise, looking away to hide his flushed face. "Y-Yeah.. Thanks, Pyrrha. Hehe." The boy said awkwardly.

Ah gods! What the hell was that! Why can't he speak to her! Why was he acting so weird!

Pyrrha then averted her attention at her food, but he just kept on staring at her. Her shiny and smooth red hair that seemed to cascade cascade down her back. Her skin, free of any blemishes, and her eyes.

Wait, stop staring!

He shook his head and looked down at his tray of food. What was up with him? He had been fine this morning and when talking to Ruby and Weiss… Why did he have to go socially inept right now, when this gorgeous and outstanding girl was talking to him!

He glanced back at Pyrrha, who only waved at him once his eyes met hers. He quickly averted his eyes and shifted his eyes back to his food. His face heated up and he felt this weird feeling in his stomach. What the hell was going on!

He didn't know, and instead just started stuffing his face with food. He could care less about the Achievement Finders anymore. The only thing on his mind right now, was her eyes. Those emerald green jewels that he couldn't stop staring at. Or her smile, the white teeth and cute dimples she had.

Gods. Pyrrha was so beautiful. So freaking beau- Ack!

Beautif-Ack!

He was choking! He quickly drank all of his water from his cup and started coughing. He felt a hand on his back, rubbing it in circles. He looked at Pyrrha who looked very worried, eyes furrowed and mouth open. "Are you okay!?"

Jaune held one hand to his throat, and put up a thumb in his other hand. He was gasping for air, and could only nod his head. That really didn't make her expression soften, but she did stop rubbing his back.

"I-I'm fine, Pyrrha.. I was just eating a little too fast." Gosh, that was embarrassing. He choked on food while thinking about a girl! And the girl was sitting right next to him! And she was his partner! And his stomach had still felt really really weird!

Jaune wiped his eyes, getting rid of the tears that had formed in them after nearly choking. He got up to throw away his food and put away his tray. Pyrrha did the same, standing up with him and walking with him to the trash can.

"That was worrying Jaune. I've never thought you were the type to start choking on food because of eating too fast."

She put a finger on her chin, and then started to grin. "On second thought, maybe you are the type to do that." Pyrrha let out a cute giggle. Jaune pouted at her. "Hey!" The red head laughed again.

After putting away their empty trays, they both walked towards the dorm room in silence afterwards. Jaune sneaked in a few glances at her as they walked. He just couldn't stop looking at her. It was as if she were a magnet and his eyes were a piece of metal.

Also, he couldn't get that weird feeling in his stomach to stop. Jaune thought that it was just the fact that he was choking before, and that his body was just feeling a little strange afterwards. It still was feeling like.. Static. He couldn't explain the feeling well.

As they neared the dorm room, they saw Ren and Nora walk out. The pair greeted them, but it lasted short. Nora could somehow smell the pancakes off of Jaune. Nora grabbed onto Ren's arm, and started running towards the cafeteria.

They both still had some time before classes started. It was just Pyrrha and Jaune right now, the both of them alone in the dorm room. Jaune felt a little nervous when they both walked in. He went over to the guy's side of the room, and sat on his bed to read the new issue of X-ray and Vav.

Pyrrha however?

Pyrrha knew. She could tell the boy was looking at her from the side of his eyes. She saw how his face heated up and gained color every time their eyes locked. However, did Jaune know? Did the boy know what he was feeling?

Another thing that Pyrrha knew, was that Jaune Arc was not the smartest person in the world. That was why he seemed to think that he was getting away with sneaking glances at her, but little did he know, she knew.

She definitely knew.

How many times did she say she had known? Because she knew. And she knew the answer to that question too. She was just that smart.

But on to the more pressing matters, Jaune appeared to be crushing on her. Something that she wasn't used to. There were many men that tried to ask her out, but this was the first time that the feeling was mutual.

Oh yeah. Pyrrha had thought the boy was cute when she first saw him before initiation, inside the locker room. He was tall, amazing eyes, nice smile, nice personality and an… ahem…

… a pretty tight posterior...

Not that she liked that type of thing in a man, hahaha…

So what if he was a little scraggly, so what if he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, looking kind of dumb with a finger and a thumb on his forehead. All that mattered, was the fact that he liked her for who she was, not for what she was.

He didn't seem to mind that he was partnered up with the 4 Mistrali Regional Champion. He actually looked to be more worried over the fact that he needed to be a good leader to Her, Ren, and Nora. Which was a good thing, mind you. However, she would've liked it if he had stopped that way of thinking. She knew that Jaune was good enough for them. Sadly, he did not think the same.

And that was precisely why she had fallen in love with him. The dense, lovable dummy named Jaune Arc. He just made everything so much more… fun. She couldn't imagine anyone else being her partner and team leader. She was so madly in love with him. But all of this time, she always took the backseat. Never did she take the wheel.

But no longer! This was her chance!

As the boy sat down on his bed, reading his comic book, Pyrrha sat down at the desk that the team had shared. She thought up a plan to ask out the boy. She was tired of being the passive girl she had been before. It was time she made him realize his feelings for her.

She was going to make it her priority, that at the end of the week, Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos wiill be more than just friends. More than just teammates, more than just partners.

Well, not partners per se, but partners, as in romantically involved with one another. But there was one question that was stuck in her mind.

What were the kids' names going to be?

Were you surprised? She wasn't. Pyrrha had never failed, never lost. She would make sure she would win his heart.

It was second nature to her, afterall.
