The quotes are from Witch Hunter Robin, I was and still am obsessed with this show -lol- i hope you guy enjoy!
Three hundred and twenty years have passed since the coven sank in the dark. A hunter who waits for his prey. The footprints. Endless darkness. The child of darkness still wishes to see tomorrow.
Sitting behind the bars of a cell, she looked around the stone cell. They didn't even give her a chance, Minato didn't even get to speak before she was arrested and thrown in jail.
She sat on the old bed, the metal strained under her weight, why didn't I run?
The other prisoners yelled and slammed their trays against the bars, she covered her ears the best she could, but she could still hear the screams of the others. There were no windows, the pipes leaked down the wall making the area damp and cold. She wasn't given a blanket or a pillow, she sat on the stained bed as tears flowed down her cheeks.
The days and nights blurred together, every few hours a tray would be thrown into her cell, it sat on the floor till they came and picked it up leaving another one in its place. Her eyes were dull, her hair was matted, and her clothes were beyond dirty. The guards came in and pulled her to her feet, they cuffed her hands and led her down the hall, they crossed into a different room and her stomach dropped, the room was dim but she could see the blood on the floor. The screams she heard at night came form this room and now it was her turn.
She was pushed down, her hands pulled from behind her back and chained on the floor in front of her. Her Shirt was pulled over her head and rested over her chained hands, "Why did you come to Konoha?"
She didn't answer, staring at the floor she heard the crack of a whip as the tip connected with her back, her body jolted up right as she tried to hold back the screams. Tears welled up in her eyes threatening to fall, the old scars on her back were faint but they could still be seen.
"Looks like you got away from someone." The guard pulled her hair, "Why did you come here, it would be better for us all if you just answered."
She didn't have an answer to give, she was just trying to find a home, she was tired of running. No matter where she went, she was always run out of town, she tried to live in the woods, but the darkest witch would always find her. Her mentor told her that she would have to find a way to live on her own and so far, she was doing a terrible job.
Her body burned, the pulled her shirt back over her head, dragging her back to her cell the threw her down on the ground. She struggled to sit up, panting she climbed on to the bed and collapsed, silent tears rolled down her cheeks as another tray was thrown on the floor; the last one for the night.
She awoke to the sound of the tray hitting floor again for the second time that day, she couldn't move, every time she did pain would rip through her body. Finally managing to sit up, the cell door flew open, once again she was pulled to her feet, they lead her down the halls until they made it to Lady Tsunade's office.
Taking the cuffs off she was surrounded, the two guards stood behind her and Sasuke stood behind them leaning against the wall. Minato was on her left while Kushina and Naruto were on her left, Sasuke watched her move.
"What's wrong with her?" Tsunade asked, "Has she not been eating?"
"She's bleeding." Sasuke walked up and carefully grabbed the hem of her shirt, he pulled it up slowly revealing the marks on her back.
"Oh my god." Kushina gasped covering her mouth with her hand, she felt the urge to throw up.
Sakura was covered in cuts and bruises minus the ones on her back, she had lost a lot of weight from not eating, her ribs were almost visible.
"Sakura, who did this to you?" she just stared, Naruto looked down at the girl, his heart sank. He knew she wasn't going to say anything, and there wasn't anything he could do about it.
Everything happened so fast, the guards were escorted away and she was being released into the custody of the Uzumaki's.
"The final step, you have to be bound to one member of the house, Sasuke has agreed to be bound together with you. I know he won't let you break the rules like Naruto would, do you accept?" Sakura looked up at Tsunade, she cleaned and healed her wounds, small marks remain on her back that would heal on their own.
"Yes." She whispered, Tsunade placed a crystal necklace around her neck and Sasuke's. Mumbling a few words, the crystals started to glow, and soon the light faded, she was now stuck with the moodiest teenager in Konoha.
The ride how was short, she was ushered into her room by Kushina, soon she was showered and in a new pair of clothes. She sat down on her bed, she leaned back and melted into the soft cloud she was laying on.
There was a small knock, Kushina poked her head and smiled, "Dinner's ready."
She got up and followed the red head to the kitchen, her stomach growled as they got closer, the table was filled and there were two seats open, she could tell the made room just for her. She smiled and took a seat next to the loud blonde, he gave her a big smile and started passing the food around. He helped her, putting a few things for her try on her plate, she nodded and said thank you.
She took a bite, the meat melted in her mouth, she was used to take out and instant food, she never had a home cooked meal, soon everyone got up, she stayed behind and helped Kushina in the kitchen,
"You don't have to stay, I know you must be tired." Sakura still didn't say anything as she set the dishes on the counter.
Kushina ushered her out of the kitchen, she bowed and walked down the hallway, as she passed the living room, she found herself sanding in front of a bookshelf. Her fingertips lightly moved over the books before stopping on and older one. Thumbing through it she put it back, walking back to her room she was stopped by the blonde.
"Hey, I have something for you." He handed her a white box with the picture of a cell phone on the front, "If you're going to work with us then you're going to need this. Grandma forgot to give it you earlier, I can help you set it up if you want."
"Oh, okay thank you." He sat in the chair at the desk. She watched over his shoulder, she never had a cellphone, there was never a need for one. He turned it on, put the screen protector and case on and handed it to her.
"I put our numbers in already, as well as my parents and grandma's. To send a text you go here, and to call you push this." He handed her the phone and smiled.
"Thanks, I've never had one before." She laughed lightly, "There was never a need for one."
"You'll get the hang of it, it's easy to use, if you have anymore questions let me know." He smiled and patted her head before he left the room, looking at the time she decided to was time for bed.
The house fell silent, she tossed and turned unable to fall asleep, she looked at the clock on her little desk and sighed. Getting up she tip toed down the hallway, opening the sliding door she stepped outside. The cool wet grass felt good on her hot skin, she sat on the stone bench and looked up at the sky, a few clouds in the sky but the moon was bright, and the breeze was light.
She could feel eyes on her, she turned around and found Sasuke standing not too far behind her, "What are you doing?"
"I couldn't sleep." She mumbled, she looked away, "Did you think I was trying to run?"
He didn't know how to answer, when he felt her outside his first thought was that she was trying to run away. He didn't trust her; he didn't really want to be bound to her but they didn't really give him much of a choice.
"I know you don't trust me, I understand that this whole thing is a test run to see if we can all work together." She turned back around, "I don't want to fight or run anymore."
He nodded, "Hn."
He turned to walk back inside, he spared her one more glance and shut the door.
-flashback-
"I want to make one thing clear, I don't trust you, the only reason I'm willing to give this a shot is because they have fought for this for a long time." She looked around the room, the pinkette was as focused as she could be, "You are not to go anywhere without and escort, you can not leave the village on your own and if you try you will be killed on the spot."
Her brow rose, she looked at the blonde "I understand."
"This is going to be a dry run, you're going to be going on hunts with the boys and helping them bring down the dark witch covens that are popping up all over."
"Dark witch?" her skin crawled, she had a few encounters with her and none of them were pleasant.
"Do you know something about her?" she ran a hand through her long pink hair and sighed.
"I know a lot about her, she's my mentor's sister."
-end-
She walked back inside, locking the door she went back to her room, finally able to feel the weight of sleep. Her head hit the pillow and she was out, Sasuke peaked in her cracked door and shut it softly going back to his own room.
Going back to his room he looked at his open notebook, he wrote down everything he knew about Sakura, he did that with every witch he encountered. He was looking for the one who ordered the attack on his family, but Sakura was way to young, she's two years younger than he was, she wouldn't even remember the attack.
He was no closer to finding her.
