"Oh, Frey! How I've missed you!" A loud voice rang in Frey's ears as she felt her arms being tightly squeezed against her sides. She recognized this voice and tried to struggle against the hug, but failed. "I've...missed you too, Porcoline..." She breathed.

Porcoline giggled in delight as he continued his squeezing session. Frey looked to see a concerned Dylas quickly walk in their direction to aid her. He grabbed Porcoline's shoulders and with enough force, managed to pry the restaurant owner's arms off the princess.

"Porcoline, contain yourself." She heard Dylas quietly scold Porco. "There she is, our hero!" Porcoline let out a huge smile. Dylas rolled his eyes at having his warning ignored by Porcoline, but kept quiet and only folded his arms. He watched as Frey wiped down her pants and took a small moment to stretch.

"I appreciate the welcome back hug." She smiled at Porcoline, but Dylas could tell she was already annoyed and did not want to deal with the restaurant owner any longer. "However, I'm not the only person who missed you so much!" Porco piped up, eyeing Dylas and giving him a slight tap with his elbow.

"Dyllie-Dally here has also been missing you very very much, isn't that right? Come on, tell Frey how much you missed her!" He teased. Dylas silently groaned. "I already did when I took my break." He answered.

The stallion knew that this amused the farmer as he could see her slightly red and smiling face. "Aww, come on, Dylas! It's not bad to tell her again, now is it?" Porcoline urged. "Yes, Dylas." Frey joined in, much to Dylas' surprise with a wide smile. "I'd love to know how much you missed me."

This caused Dylas to blush a deep red. "I-I, um, have to go back to work." He spoke quickly and headed towards a table.

Porcoline let out a dramatic sigh. "What am I going to do with that boy?" He asked himself out loud. Frey giggled. "Let him have a break, Porco. Everyone's been telling me how much Dylas missed me. It must have been that obvious." She told him.

"Oh, but he was like a puppy without its owner while you were gone!" Porco said. "He'd ask when you'd be coming back, the poor boy barely ate with you gone." Frey looked worried. "I'll make sure to spend time with him soon."

"Oh, please do!" Porcoline begged. "And do spend some time with me as well, Frey!" He suggested, blowing a kiss in her direction. "Um, maybe some other time, Porcoline. I'll see you later." Frey gave him a small smile and walked towards the door of the restaurant.

When she opened the door to leave, she saw Leon standing in front of it. "Ah, nice to see you again, Earthmate." He greeted with a smug smile. "I was just about to make a reservation for our date." This quickly caught Dylas' attention, as one of his horse ears twitched.

Dylas looked towards the entrance of the restaurant to see Leon talking to Frey. "Oh yeah, Thursday, right?" He heard Frey ask. "If you'd like it to be Thursday." Leon began. "I wouldn't want it to be any later, you know." This brought a heavy feeling into Dylas' heart.

A date? Didn't he just get rescued by her?

The stallion went back to wiping down tables, hoping his job would distract him. Dylas couldn't make out the rest of the conversation between the farmer and the dragon priest, the last words he heard being "See you, Leon." and then Leon's farewell towards Frey.

He then saw Leon walk towards the counter from the corner of his eye. Porcoline was busy with something else, so Dylas headed behind the counter to take the restaurant owner's place. Instead of the usual quiet welcome Dylas would give to customers, he only watched Leon get closer until he stood directly across from him.

"Hello, Horsie." Leon greeted with a teasing smile. "My name's Dylas." The stallion retorted, pointing towards the name tag he wore over his uniform. Leon looked at the tag for a bit and then back at Dylas.

"Thanks for letting me know. Anyways, Horsie, I wanted to know if it was possible for me to make a reservation for two." Leon stated. "Sure, for which day?" Dylas asked with slight annoyance at Leon still using the nickname he didn't like.

"This Thursday would work just fine." Leon replied, smirking at Dylas' tone. "I'd love to spend time with the lovely Selphian princess as soon as possible, but I felt like that would push her away." He added, knowing that the stallion would not like hearing this.

"Whatever." Were the only words that quietly came out of Dylas' mouth, trying to sound uninterested.

Leon's smile remained as Dylas checked the guest book for reservations. "Thursday is good." Dylas began. "And it'll be you and Frey?" He asked without looking up from the book as he wrote down the information. "Wouldn't have it any other way." Leon stated with a grin.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't doing this to tick me off...

Dylas nodded. "Right. You're all set." He finished writing in the book and set it down, looking back up at the foxman. "Anything else?" He then asked, hoping Leon would leave as soon as possible. Leon mulled it over with a "hmm..."

Dylas let out a small sigh. "How was it when she rescued you, anyway?" He asked. "She threw that returning ring at me thinking that I would be the only survivor of the journey." Leon explained, slightly confused at Dylas' sudden interest in him. "Very selfless, that Earthmate." He commented.

"That's what I was thinking." Dylas began. "She does a lot for the town of Selphia, you know. If anything were to happen to her, I wouldn't know what to do besides probably kill whoever hurt her." Dylas told him. "Oh, is that a little crush I'm hearing about?" Leon asked.

Dylas could see the smirk forming on Leon's face and only huffed. "No. It's not." He replied with red cheeks. "Now, if you don't need anything, I have customers to take care of."

Leon raised a brow at this and looked around the restaurant. He saw that whoever was inside had left and then looked back at the stallion. "Porcoline says there's always something to take care of, at least." Dylas explained with a tired tone.

"Ah, I see. Well, I'll see you later, Horsie." Leon waved farewell and left the restaurant himself. Dylas watched on in annoyance.

This is my first time meeting this guy and I already hate him.
