The following Satinday was the first practice game, Raven was in a waiting area as the other girls were still getting changed.
"Hey Raven," said Duchess as she walked in with a small basket of apples.
"Hey, Duchess, what's with the basket?" asked Raven.
"It was delivered to my room by mistake, it's actually for Apple," said Duchess as she handed the basket to Raven.
"I'll make sure it gets to her," said Raven with a friendly smile. After Duchess left, the others came in.
"Where the basket come from?" asked Apple.
"Duchess brought it, apparently it was mistakenly delivered to her room but it's for you, no card though," said Raven as she held the basket out to Apple.
"I'd like to have one but I'm too nervous to eat right now," said Apple. They were then called out to the field by Headmaster Grimm.
"Well, good luck everyone," said Darling as they all started to walk out of the room, a hand slipping into the basket and taking an apple while they did so. Meanwhile, Duchess was up in Queen Snow White's booth where no guards were standing watch.
"I gave Raven the basket, Apple shouldn't be able to resist the fruit in it," said Duchess.
"Good job," said Queen Snow White with a smile as the two teams started to take the field. However, that smile soon vanished when she noticed Apple did not have one of the small red fruit but Raven did.
"Can't believe you can still eat, the rest of us feel like throwing up we're so nervous," said Poppy.
"I've been through worse so this doesn't make me nervous in the least," said Raven before taking a bite of the red fruit. The second she swallowed, the curse from the apple took effect.
"Raven!" said Apple as she watched her girlfriend hit the ground, the apple rolling out of her hand as she did.
