A/N - This came about when I watched the Good Omens Lockdown. Characters belong to Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. For me, Aziraphale and Crowley are an iconic duo and I love how Tennant and Sheen brought the character to life on screen.
Aziraphale POV
Well, that's the 5th batch of scones, 10 cakes and an experimental batch of white chocolate Jaffa cakes. I wonder how Crowley is doing. I miss him. Maybe I should call him.
Crowley POV
Im so bored! If people weren't so depressed, I'd be telling them to party. GOD! What kind of world are we living in where parties are prohibited? Even Hell isn't having anything to do with this global pandemic.
…
RING! RING!
"Hello, it's me," the Angel's voice calls tentatively.
"I know it's you Aziraphale," Crowley mentions, exasperated. 'Though it's good to hear your voice again.'
"Well, I was just calling to see how you were doing."
"I'm unbelievably bored. There's nothing to do."
Aziraphale sighs. 'I know what you mean' "Could you not go out and, I don't know, stand a bit too close to people? You are a Demon after all. It is the perfect time to do your job."
"No, no. people are depressed enough, they'll be even more so if this plague affects them physically." Crowley let out a trying sigh. "What about you? Isn't it your job to perform miracles? Or is this part of God's ineffable plan? Like Pestilence part 2."
"Everything God does is ineffable, Crowley. You know that."
"So what have you been doing during this Hell then?"
"Oh, well. I turned the door sign to 'CLOSED' and I've been reading. You know, I have not had this much relaxation in 200 years." The heavenly presence tried to reassure his friend. "Though things did get a little tense when a small group of youths broke into the back and attempted to steal the cash box. Thankfully, they saw the error of their ways before they succeeded in their quest."
Hopeful, Crowley asked, "Did you smite them with your wrath?"
"No. I simply told them to be on their way and imparted them with cake."
"Cake? Azi, they tried to rob you and you rewarded them with cake? Are you kidding me?"
"Oh, come now Cro. You know I don't kid. And I had far too much for just little old me." 'If only you were here.'
Crowley felt bad. As if hearing Aziraphale's thoughts, he replied, "Well, if you want, I could possibly slither over there and join you. I could even bring a case of something, maybe."
Aziraphale's heart leapt. "Oh, no. you can't do that." Even as he spoke, his heart broke in two. "Hopefully, this quarantine won't last too much longer. I'll see you when this is all over."
"Yeah, okay," the Demon responded. "I'm going to sleep and set my alarm for July. It should be done by then. Goodnight Angel."
With a heavy heart, Aziraphale replies, "Goodnight Demon."
