Prologue:
Spring just arrived in Arendelle. Bakers were baking, birds chripping their merry song, children playing filing the town with laughter. Deer grazing in the distance. Queen Elsa and Princess Anna decided a merry gallop along the forest was due. Reaching a small river a twig snapped spooking their horses. Calming the mares there was another snap this time a little closer.
"Okay. Fun's over! Come out." Demanded Elsa scanning the area.
"Hey Sis. Lets ride a little further down. Maybe they'll take the hint." Suggested Anna looking around.
"Good idea. Come on lets head for the clearing." Said Elsa galloping ahead.
"Right behind you." Said Anna following.
Suddenly a trunk fell in front of the girls. The horses reared back in fear, then a body fell in front of them.
"Oh My Gosh! Are you okay?" Yelled Anna jumping off her horse running to the body.
"Anna! Wait!" Yelled Elsa running after her.
Reaching Anna, Elsa was horrified. There in front of her laid a young man no older then herself covered in cuts and gashes. His armour torn and wrecked, the weapon in his hand broken in two, some wounds were bleeding which made her stomach turn.
"What could have caused this?"Asked Elsa kneeling down checking for a pulse.
"I'm not sure. Honestly i don't wanna know." Declared Anna putting an ear on his chest.
Minutes passed. The young man took a sharp breath coughing up blood.
"He's alive! Quick get Kristoff and his sled. I'll stay with him."Instructed Elsa.
"You got it Sis!"Said Anna jumping back on her horse and riding off.
"I'm not sure you can hear me but help is on the way. Hang in there." Elsa told him holding his hand.
He opened his eyes.
"An angel." He said before passing out.
Elsa blushed a little taken back by the compilment.
A few hours later. They returned to Arendelle Castle, taking the young man to the infirmary. Elsa and Anna waited to hear any news.
"Your Highness. The young man will live however his wounds are severe. I'm afraid he has a few broken bones. Some of the gashes won't stop bleeding my staff are doing what we can."
"Was there anything could help indentify him? Asked Anna.
"Not much. Just a worn journal. Here you are." Said the doctor handing it to Elsa.
"Thank you. Please keep us informed of his condition." Declared Elsa.
"Of course. Excuse me."
Elsa sat down opening the journal. Inside was detail upon detail information about various creatures of many shapes and forms. Areas that she never heard of before, descirptions of the animal and plant life he witnessed, Turning a few pages there were entries. Reading them Elsa couldn't begin to imagine the wonderous things he saw. Secretly she was a little jealous. Turning more pages there were dried plants and momentos. Taking one of the dried flower she smelled it, the aroma was calming she felt at ease. It was a Moon Lavender. placing it back on the page she closed the book. looking out the window it was already nightfall. No word from the infirmary. which worried her greatly, heading down she saw the nurses working on the young man the site broke her heart. motionless, barely breathing, covered in bandages, she couldn't help herself as tears fell. She prayed he would be alright. suddenly he started to move almost reaching out to her.
"The angel." He said passing out once more.
Again she blushed, not understanding why. Deciding to head to her study she wanted to see how Anna was doing. About to knock she heard Kristoff comforting her. smiling she knew her sister chose wisely and happy he was there for her. Entering she sat down looking at the sky. The stars glowed brightly tonight.
"I pray this young man is safe in the morning." She said before opening the journal once more.
