Continued Story 7

Thank you for all the reviews, favorites, and follows! I always appreciate them! Also, thank you for the constructive criticism. I keep it in mind and I'll make sure to do those corrections. Plus, thanks to DuplicitousDevil for looking over this chapter for me!

Anyways, yes, C.C. and Lelouch will come in eventually for those who are asking. They're coming soon, so just wait a little bit more. Also, Celeste is gonna get better as it goes... She's just in a bit of an uncomfortable place to be in right now. I intended for her to come off that way anyway. I really like writing her and Lilianna and we have lots to go over because this story definitely isn't going to be or stay flowers and butterflies. Soooooooo, that's it.

(Uh, I don't have any specialty in fight scenes or anything like that, so please bear with me on that until I get everything worked out.)

So, enjoy!

Lilianna frowned again when she saw Celeste's friend, Tatsuya, turn around and smirk at her for he second time in almost a whole minute. She fixed her sunglasses on her face, not risking taking them off her face with not only Tatsuya and Lucas around, but all these other commoners who would quickly recognize her if she ever removed them.

Those violet eyes always stood out in the Britannian Imperial Family.

She looked at Celeste who was calmly sitting next to her, legs and arms crossed while silently observing the area around her. She would catch her staring at Lucas sometimes as he shouted orders towards the other teammates. It seemed like they knew each other, but she couldn't be quite sure. Celeste always treated people she didn't know as if she knew them. She acted so familiar with them that it would confuse Lilianna sometimes.

The princess sighed tirely, knowing that if she wasn't back before in the morning, she was going to be found out and there's no telling how much trouble she'd be in with her mother. She was already in enough trouble as it was just for trying to protect her people in a situation that they had no control over.

"Diana," Celeste mumbled, finally speaking up after sitting silently for so long. "I think I have a way for us to get out of this."

Lilianna didn't think it was possible for them to even get out of this with Lucas having instructed two people to keep watch over them and for now, she could only think that one of them - or both - would be dead if they even dared to move. "How would we, Celeste?" the young princess whispered back.

"You know, in just a few minutes, they will be leaving to start collecting the knightmares and obviously, security will realize it soon," Celeste started to explain to her quietly. "Once the commotion starts, I need you to knock them out and after that, just do what I do."

"Knock them out?" Lilianna gasped, starting to nervously play with her fingers. "I can't-I can't do that. I don't want to hurt anyone. Besides, I only did that in panic."

"But you have skills that I don't and we need to put them to good use. We just have to work to get out of here and I've already observed the place. The exit is that way and you only have to fight. Here's the chance for you to be useful princess." Celeste told her.

Lilianna's idea of being useful was not using the set of skills she secretly had to injure people. In fact, she had been taught this by Zero and he always told her to never use them to intentionally hurt people unless it was necessary. Then again, if she didn't do it, they'd both be stuck here for who knows how long.

Hesitantly, she answered, "Fine."

A satisfied smirk crossed Celeste's face. "I kind of like this. You're listening to me for once."

"You don't ever listen to me," Lilianna pointed out. "My title means nothing to you."

"Good point." The black haired girl shrugged before sitting up straight in her seat. "Once they move out and when the alarms go off, start on my count. We need enough commotion going on so no one will pay attention to us while we're trying to escape. You'll know my signal when you see it."

"What if we-"

"You girls having a nice conversation?" Tatsuya interrupted, walking towards them with a small skip on his step. He motioned for his teammates to put their guns down and leaned against the side of the wall where Lilianna was sitting. "You still aren't going to take those sunglasses off, are you? It's way too dark in here for those."

Lilianna ignored him, knowing he wasn't going to try and touch her again unless he wanted a repeat of earlier. Then again, there were guns on her and Celeste... Going home with a gunshot wound was the last thing on her list of things to do tonight.

"Is it really any of your business whether she takes them off or not, Tatsuya?" Celeste spoke up, her golden eyes narrowed at the one who she called her friend.

"Someone's snappy."

"Oh, please." Celeste scoffed while rolling her eyes. "I wouldn't be as snappy if a bastard like you would learn to control his emotions and not throw tantrums because a girl tackled him down to the floor in two seconds."

She's taunting him, Lilianna thought dreadfully, seeing the expression on Tatsuya's face turn dark. He had a hold on the gun in his holster, looking as if he would pull it out any second. Thankfully, Lucas walked over and put a hand on his arm, causing the other boy to fall back.

"Come on, Tatsuya. We have to get into position and there's no use trying to entertain them." Lucas mumbled as he he motioned for the guards to put their guns back up. "Watch them while we're gone. If they try anything funny, don't hesitate to injure them. No shooting, though."

The dark haired princess was very confused about his order to not try and shoot them until she saw a small smirk cross Celeste's face. She knew something and it was irritating Lilianna to no end that she was once again out of the loop about something. Her mother did it enough, thinking it was a tactic that would keep her out of danger.

Lucas and Tatsuya left the room together with both of their guns secure in their hands. Lilianna turned to Celeste who only closed her eyes and leaned back against the wall acting as unbothered as she always did. In reality, Lilianna wished she could be as carefree and nonchalant as Celeste acted, but with the life she came from, she could never be. As long as she lived or until it was her turn to take over the throne, she'd have to do everything she was by Zero, by her mother, by her aunts and uncles, by the guards... Someone would always have control over her no matter the situation.

She fisted her hands into the fabric of her oversized hoodie, breathing deeply to calm her angry feelings building up. She always felt so powerless... Even her Aunt Cornelia let Aldonis and Ileana do more than her mother would ever let her. She wo-

Her thoughts were interrupted by multiple gunshots going off from outside the room and she heard Celeste smirk to herself softly. She had said to look for a signal, but what kind of signal was she supposed to look for when the girl was only tapping her leg up and down with her eyes closed. She looked over at the girl's hand and saw her counting down with her fingers.

5... 4... 3... 2... 1…

With lots of regret built up inside of her already, Lilianna stood up abruptly, causing both guards to turn their guns on her. She clasped her hands to her chest and gave both guards a sad look. "As your princess, I apologize for this in advance." Lilianna apologized before grabbing the wrist of the guard on her left and twisting it behind her back.

She felt the other gun in her back and swung her leg back into the second guard's stomach. She snatched the gun from the first guard's hand and threw it to side before giving her a blow in the head hard enough to knock her second guard tried to put her in a chokehold, but Lilianna flipped her over the back and knocked her over the head with the abandoned gun.

When she finished, the princess stepped back and felt absolutely terrible. She turned to Celeste who not only looked impressed but had a small smirk of victory upon her face. Apparently, she begged to differ when it came to hurting people. "You move fast." was all the black haired girl commented.

"You made me knock out innocent people and that's all you can say?" Lilianna asked her in disbelief.

"Well, what else do you want me to say? Bow down and praise you?" Celeste asked her sarcastically, only causing the princess to frown at her. "Come on, we have to leave."

"Celeste, do you know what you're doing?" Lilianna asked in a concerned, following after the girl. She was never quite sure what she was doing, so how could she trust that this girl knew what she was doing herself.

The girl made a disinterested sound as she took off her school jacket and wrapped it around her waist." Yes and no. We work along as we go," she told her, peeping out the door first before stepping outside of it. "Do you think we need a gun or can I use you?"

"Celeste!"

The girl snorted in amusement. "You're such an innocent princess, aren't you?"

"It's not about me being innocent! It's about you using me to hurt people! I don't wanna hurt people!" she hissed.

"Uh-huh," Celeste mumbled under her breath as they were heading near the commotion once again in the main area of the warehouse. "What's-"

"Celeste!"

"Princess!" she turned around in alarm only to find Lilianna run them both down to the floor, causing her head to hit the floor. "What the hell?!"

"Someone threw a knife," Lilianna muttered, looking around them in alarm. Someone else was in this hall with them.

"Ugh, I missed you. I almost had you too," a voice said in mock disappointment.

The two teenage girls looked up to find Tatsuya at the end of the hall with another knife in his hand. He gave them a dark smirk. "I knew you two would get out somehow. Guess you didn't knock the guards out hard enough. No worries, though," he chuckled. "We have a Britannian Princess with us. My night just got more entertaining."

Lilianna stood up, helping Celeste in the process. She noticed blood dripping from the back of the girl's neck, but ignored it in favor of glaring at the boy Celeste seemed to call her friend. "I order you to let us go," she demanded.

"You're an absolute idiot," Celeste hissed at her in annoyance.

"Idiot is right because that's not going to work here with us. You see, we're a group that works against the empress and the royal family. We see a royal or anyone working for them, you're dead on the spot, or at least you should be. No good has ever come from that family. Emperor Charles, Emperor Lelouch, and we don't know a damn thing about how Empress Nunnally thinks... In fact, I know you had to be pretty young when my parents were executed and she didn't do a thing about it." Tatsuya explained to them, taking a few steps forward as he spun the knife in his hand.

Lilianna felt nauseous suddenly. He had to be lying. "I-I-I don't know what you're talking about. This had to have happened before I was born. I've never heard of such a thing," she told him in a shaky voice. "My... My mother would never do anything like that."

"Don't listen to him, Lilianna," Celeste whispered to her. "Tatsuya does things like this. He tries to confuse you like this and give you second thoughts. Your mother is a good woman."

Tatsuya let out another loud laugh. "Is she? Or is she like that uncle of yours? The Royal Britannian Family has always been good at hiding their true nature. Maybe she even hides it like - who was it? Princess Euphemia. She killed every single one of those people who were innocent beings… Just like my parents."

The dark haired princess felt tears welling up in her violet eyes. Sure, her family had a bad history, but her mother wasn't like the rest of them... Her mother only did what was best for the people... She wasn't like her grandparents, or her uncle, or her aunt... She was a good woman and she would never hurt anyone intentionally… She wouldn't, right?

"Shit," Celeste cursed from next to her. She gave the Japanese boy in front of her a heated glare. "You're taking your anger out on the wrong people, Tatsuya."

"And let someone with a mask escape also?" Tatsuya shook his head. "I don't thin-

*BOOM*

The wall at the other end of the hall where Tatsuya was standing had blown up and Lilianna felt Celeste protectively move them away from the explosion. A hole was now in the wall leading to the main hall where they had entered the warehouse. She lifted her head from the crook of Celeste's neck to see Tatsuya bleeding on the floor.

"We need to leave now!" Celeste told her, trying to pull the girl along with her.

"W-We can't leave him like that," Lilianna fought back, pulling her arm away from Celeste. "H-He's injured. H-He m-might die."

The look on Celeste's face would've been humorous to Lilianna if it hadn't been for the situation the two were in. "It shouldn't matter if we leave that bastard here. He'll be fine."

"B-But, Celeste, he's gonna-"

"Lilianna!"

Lilianna snapped her head back to Celeste who was giving her a look mixed with anger and worry. That was the first time she had ever heard the girl say her name since they met. She always avoided outright saying her name or title and this time…

Her determined and firm face looked just like her mother's.

"We. Have. To. Leave. Now. I am not going to be responsible for the Princess of Britannia being injured or dead," Celeste growled, even though Lilianna knew Celeste really didn't care. She never did.

Lilianna felt her tears threatening to fall, but wiped at her face with her sleeve. She looked back at Tatsuya one last time before letting Celeste drag her towards the blown up hole in the wall. When they got through the wall, there was police everywhere and all the men and women they had saw with Lucas and Tatsuya earlier.

Celeste kept pulling her along quickly until she was sure they were a little further away from the commotion. "Where are we going?" she asked quietly, tightening her grip on the girl's hand.

Lilianna took Celeste's silence as ignoring her until they stopped in front of a silver and gold Knightmare frame. Lilianna gave the black haired girl next to her a questioning look and she only smirked in response while spinning a golden key around her finger. "We can't go through the front entrance, so taking a Knightmare won't do them any harm, neh?"

"We can't steal a Knightmare!" Lilianna whispered firmly, snatching her hand out of Celeste's.

"So you think it's a good idea for us to try to walk out the front entrance with you, a princess, and get caught by security and get arrested in the same night when you already got yourself in trouble because you decided to play hero at the hostage situation almost two weeks ago?" Celeste asked her with a flat look. "By all means walk out the front entrance."

Lilianna had a staring contest with Celeste before sighing and agreeing to taking the Knightmare. "But it only has one compartment, how do we-"

"Who's that up there?!"

"Just get in!" Celeste ushered her and the princess dropped herself into the Knightmare, Celeste following after her and dropping herself into Lilianna's lap. "This is uncomfortable..."

If the royal council saw someone in her lap other than her future children, Lilianna was sure they would go ballistic. She reached over and grabbed onto the levers as Celeste stuck the key into it." Wait, do you even know how to fly this thing?' Celeste asked as she watched the princess start it up.

"No... But I know how to operate it..." she mumbled sheepishly.

"You know how to operate it, but you've never flown one?!" the girl asked in bewilderment. "You're going to kill us both!"

Lilianna ignored the girl in favor of smiling to herself slightly when she felt the machine starting to float upward. She carefully and slowly tried to exit the building, but Celeste fell onto her arm, causing the Knightmare to suddenly speed forward.

"Get off my arm, Celeste!" the princess shouted as politely as she could.

"It's not my fault this space is cramped!"

"Celeste!"

"I'm moving!"

Lilianna no longer felt the pressure against her arm and was able to get the Knightmare in the sky at a balanced speed. She sighed, putting the Knightmare in autopilot as soon as she knew they were far away enough from the warehouse. She turned to Celeste with a small smile. "See, we're safe."

"And not dead because of you," Celeste shot back, crossing her arms over her chest and making herself more comfortable in the princess's lap. "It's like everywhere I go now, you're there every time. I did not ask for a Britannian princess as annoying as you to come into my life!"

Lilianna didn't know what happened, but she felt something inside of her snap. She was tired of everything, but especially Celeste. "You're not going to turn this on me! You brought me here with you when you didn't have to! That whole fiasco in the warehouse was because you had a plan and you only told me to follow along! I did exactly that! Stop being an asshole for once just because you're homesick!"

That shut Celeste up and Lilianna's face dropped into an apologetic expression ."I-I'm so sorry. I d-didn't mean-"

"You're a different kind of princess, aren't you?" Celeste asked her with a small smirk of amusement.

The princess tilted her head to the side, deeply confused by Celeste's statement. She wasn't a different kind... She just didn't get to show her mother what she was really capable of because of her mother's overprotectiveness and her doubt. Even Zero, who taught her self defense, showed much of his lack of faith in her. In fact, did any of her mother's actions have to do with what Tatsuya told her earlier?

Was her mother hiding behind a mask that no one knew of...?

"Princess?"

"Huh?"

"Land this in the forest. You can't get back into the palace with it and I can't bring it back to the dorms with me or otherwise I'll be arrested and locked away forever without the knowledge of my parents," she told her.

"Do you always have to be so dry and sarcastic?" Lilianna genuinely asked. She could see what the other students meant now.

Celeste shrugged. "I picked it up from my mother."

Lilianna let out a small chuckle as she lowered the Knightmare into the deep forest. They'd find their way out of the forest somehow. She had her tablet with her, so it wouldn't be hard if they used directions.

Once she safely landed, the two teens exited the Knightmare with Celeste muttering curses under her breath that the princess wasn't sure were towards her or towards Tatsuya back at the warehouse. It still worried her that he was out on the floor bleeding and she had to leave him there not knowing what was going to happen to him next. That image was going to be the only thing on her mind for the-

"Princess!"

Lilianna snapped her attention towards Celeste, exiting her running thoughts. The black haired teen flicked her in the forehead, causing the princess to let out a small squeal of pain." How do we get out of here? You must know since you've been here long enough."

"I have my tablet which can give us directions out of here," Lilianna answered, taking the device out of her bag and flicking it on. "I know we're in the middle of nowhere, but it should be able to lead us out of here and back into the city, if I'm correct."

"We need to get you back to the palace first." Celeste had decided she had enough of the princess for one night. If she wasn't in her hands anymore and in the safety of the palace, it'd calm her nerves. " In fact, how did you get out of the palace in the first place?"

The princess cleared her throat and blushed slightly. "The palace… It has secret places that I can get out through. Only my personal assistant, Daisuke, and I know of them. He was the one that let me out and said he'd make sure my mother and Zero didn't suspect anything."

"Is being in the palace that hard for you? You've practically grown up a privileged princess all your life and every time I run into you, it's you rebelling against the Empress."

"It's just…, the problem is that the palace is exactly where I've been my whole life. I want to do more than sit in the palace and be an obedient, pretty princess by following everything I'm told to do. I want to help the people, learn to properly use a Knightmare, and be…, I want to be by Mother's side and she can't even see that." Lilianna let out a sad, low chuckle. "You know, I wasn't introduced to the public until I was five. My mother was young then, but as she does everything now, it was because she didn't think it was safe for me to be out yet when I was a baby."

"Zero doesn't make anything better because he follows all of my mother's orders. I don't think I've ever seen him disobey anything she says, especially when it comes to me. It's always been him, my mother, and I, but I feel as if he tries more with me than my mother does. My mother and I haven't properly been together in years."

"I remember when you were first introduced to the public," Celeste started, coming to a stop. "I saw you on the TV and thought that you were the prettiest girl I had ever seen. I thought, "Wow, I want to be a princess like her someday." I thought you had it easy and I still do, but you were always smiling every time I saw you and I would've never thought this was the way you actually felt. Now I go to the same school as the First Princess of Britannia and I can only think about how annoying you are."

This time, Lilianna let out a kind laugh and Celeste couldn't help but smile at her. "Well, you're the first person I've met that didn't immediately bow down to my feet or treat me like an alien. Admittedly, I'm use to being treated that way, so when you treated me like everyone else… I was surprised."

"Maybe I was just being rude in the beginning," the black haired girl admitted and crossed her arms under her chest. "You were just doing your job and being genuinely kind, and I dismissed that. I still think you're an annoying princess, of course, but I could treat you…"

"And my friends-"

Celeste rolled her eyes."... A little better."

"Maybe not piss off the students either?" Lilianna asked hopefully.

"Now that's asking too much. Besides, it's what those stuck-up rich kids deserve." Celeste snorted. "Okay, maybe your friends didn't deserve anything I told them. Although…"

"Fumiko told me."

"Does she report everything back to you?"

"She's just doing her job, Celeste," she smiled. "Besides, I think she likes you. Anna is friendly towards everyone and Takeshi…, He'll come around eventually. I know she told you, but his parents are a sensitive topic. He lives with his father and his mother works as one of the instructors at the Training Academy. She's also apart of the council and a good friend of my mother's."

"I'm not worried about him. If anything, I'll make him come around instead." she smirked. "He's fun to play with."

Lilianna decided to ignore Celeste's comment and leave the girl to her own shenanigans concerning Takeshi. He was smart and athletic, but his temper was another thing. Mr. Weinberg had told her it was something he picked up from his mother, but she was never in the presence of his mother enough to know. In fact, when they first met eight years ago, Takeshi had gotten so frustrated that she could easily do all the tricks he showed her that he had refused to talk to her.

She laughed at the memory, but then a blush spread across her face. It wasn't until she was thirteen that she had started seeing him differently. Suddenly it looked really attractive when he ran his hands through his hair and his blue eyes shined like the sea - She realized that maybe she liked him a lot more than she thought.

"Princess," Celeste called, causing the teen to turn her attention back to the black haired girl. "I've heard you have to pick a Knight soon."

Lilianna let out a tired sigh. "Yes. I have to pick one out before my sixteenth birthday on June 11th. I was given a book of Knights I could pick from, but I want someone who I can fully trust. I have someone in mind, but he's not trained."

"Then why not let him be trained?"

"Because he doesn't even know I want him as my Knight. Besides, I don't think he'd want to be by my side twenty-four/seven. That includes when I leave the country." She put her tablet away in her bag once she was sure they were heading the right way. "If he doesn't agree to that, I'll just have to find someone else."

"Maybe I could do it." Celeste joked.

"You don't even like my family." Lilianna shook her head. "You would never willingly train to be my Knight."

"You're right." Celeste shivered. "I wouldn't stand going through training, or even being with you all day."

"Am I really that intolerable to you?"

"Hmm, it depends on how annoying you're being."

The Britannian Princess rolled her eyes at the girl beside her before leading the other girl down a trail that would lead back to the city. They walked in comfortable the silence the rest of the way and Lilianna was glad her and Celeste were finally standing on some kind of equal ground. You only had to get to know her, but Lilianna felt like her pulling towards Celeste had something else to it.

They didn't have anything in common and nor did they share the same blood… What was it?

"Ugh, finally!" she heard Celeste shout in relief, realizing they were back in the city. "This night is going to catch up with me."

"I'm sorry. It's my fault." Lilianna bowed slightly.

Celeste wasn't going to let the princess blame herself for this despite what she had said earlier. "Get up. It's-It's not your fault, okay? We were both in trouble and if you hadn't been there, there's no telling where I would've been now. So…, don't blame it on yourself. Let's just get you home where it's safe."

Lilianna nodded in agreement. "Of course."

"You know the way to your dear palace, so after you, Your Highness." Celeste stepped to the side to let the girl once again walk ahead of her.

She smiled.

Celeste arrived home after making sure the princess had been escorted home safely, though she was sure she could take care of herself and dumped herself on to her bed tiredly. She had school in just three hours, but it wouldn't hurt her teachers to skip and miss her first class. Sleep was more important than going over something she probably already knew.

Just as she closed her eyes to slumber, her phone rang and she muttered curses. Whoever it was could most likely wait and if they couldn't, that wasn't her pro- An unknown number?

Sliding her finger across the phone, Celeste answered, "Yes?"

"I see you and the princess made it out alive."

"Lucas…" she hissed. "How do you even…?"

"I took it from Takeshi's phone," he cut her off. "By the way, he's injured pretty badly. If you ever want to check up on him, I can tell you where he is."

"I don't care about Takeshi. What do you want with me? Why did you call me? I am of no importance to you." Celeste was very confused.

"You aren't, but I found you interesting and obviously you have brains. We could use people with skills like yours."

"I don't have any skills. Leave me out of your petty rebellion."

"You got me to tell you my name by asking questions and then discovered I won't shoot anyone in the process. You have smarts and the ability to lie. Those seem like abilities to me."

Celeste scoffed into the phone. He was wrong there. She was nowhere near as smart as her father is, no matter how hard she tried. Compared to his abilities, her's were pretty average. "They're useless. I would be of no help in whatever your rebellion ends up being. I have no reason to join you assholes."

"No reason?" Celeste could hear the smirk on his face. "Well, you have to have a reason for disliking the royal family as much as the rest of us. Care to explain?"

"That's none of your business at all!" Celeste hissed, irritated at Lucas' gall.

"It'll be my business eventually." Lucas laughed before hanging up on her.

"That bastard! I hate them both!" Just as she was about to throw her phone out of frustration, her phone rang again. This time it was a call from her mother…, Well, it was better than any calls from her father and it wasn't like she hadn't been avoiding talking to them for almost two weeks. "Mom?"

"Ah, darling. You finally decided to pick up your phone after so long, heh?" Celeste shivered. That was the voice her mother used when she was angry. Kind but cold.

"Look, I'm sorry, Mom. I wasn't trying to…,"

"Your father was worried sick when he saw you were involved in that incident last week. He almost came up to the school before I convinced him to stay home. Too bad he's asleep. This phone call would have been much less pleasant." the woman chuckled on the other side of the phone.

Celeste let out an annoyed groan. "He's one who sent me here to this dump. He'd be the last one to give me a scolding about not answering my phone." In short, she was still very much pissed off at her father.

"Your father is just being a little overprotective. Trust me, he's been that way for years," her mother told her softly. "Don't let it bother you darling."

"As if I'd let Dad be that much of a worry wart bother me…,"

"Oh, look at that. Your father is awake. I'm going to hang up before he realizes I'm on the phone with you."

The black haired girl laughed as she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger. "Goodnight, Mom."

"Goodnight, darling."

"She's still mad at you," C.C. yawned tiredly as she cuddled up next to her husband in their bed.

"She'll get over it," the raven haired man grumbled. "But is she safe?"

"I can feel if anything happens to her, darling. I'm linked to her. If she wasn't safe, I would tell you," the green haired woman muttered.

"I doubt that, witch."

"That's only because you worry too much about her. She's not the little girl she once was before. She's turning sixteen next month, and she can take care of herself, Lelouch."

"But I'm worried about the incidents that have been happening lately. There's no doubt there were assassination attempts on Nunnally's life. Along with that kidnapping of her daughter the other day. This could be bigger than we think it is," Lelouch said wearily.

"That's why you gave Suzaku the job to protect her. She'll be okay." C.C. pat her husband on the chest. "You trusted him with Nunnally's life and I'm sure she trusts him with hers."

Lelouch turned over and wrapped his arms around C.C. "I know C.C., it's just that I have a bad feeling. Something tells me this peace isn't going to last any longer and I'm not there to stop it."

"Maybe it isn't your job to stop it this time. Or neither is it Suzaku's. We'll just have to watch how this plays out itself," C.C. whispered before moving to give Lelouch a kiss on the lips.

When she pulled away, Lelouch leaned his forehead against hers. "That's what I'm afraid of."

And that's it.

I don't have much to say besides the fact that a lot of things mentioned in this chapter are important in future chapters and foreshadowing, but I'll let you all figure that out. I really have to go now, so that's all I have to say and I'd really like to know what you all think.
