Janine was preparing herself to train against the experienced Scout. She took out a tank top and shorts from the suitcase she still hadn't bothered to completely unpack. She then brought out a hairband to help keep her hair out of the way. She didn't notice Spy observing her with curiosity from his seat until she heard him clear his throat.

This caused her to slightly jump and then look at the Frenchman. "Oh, I'm going to train with Scout. He said to wear light clothes and make sure I was ready." she explained, taking out her glove bag from the case. "I can see zat." He stated.

"Uh yeah, I guess you can." She giggled sheepishly. Spy turned his head back to the television screen he was watching. "Are you nervous for ze surgery?" He asked. Janine thought for a moment. "Very." She began. "I really hope it's as harmless as you guys told me it would be. Different people experience things differently, and I'm sure surgeries are a good example." She said, wiping her gloves clean.

"Ze medic is a reliable doctor," Spy started. "Although he does become crazy sometimes, he is good at helping teammates." This calmed her down a bit.

"Then after the surgery, I have to worry about my first time actually fighting here." Janine thought out loud. "Believe it or not, we teammates help each other out on the battlefield, too." Spy spoke. "If you'd like, madame-" He was about to continue, when a shout rang throughout the base. "C'mon, Bruisah, I ain't got all day! We trainin' or not?"

A sigh from Spy followed the shout. "Scout always has been ze always impatient type. Go train before he blows out my eardrums." He said, rubbing his temple in annoyance. Janine nodded, grabbed all of her training equipment, and changed in the bathroom.

When she was changed and made sure she was prepared for training with Scout, she headed to the base's training room where he was. By the time she arrived, the Bostonian was stretching, sitting on the matted floor and touching his toes. He looked up at her when she entered the room. "Ya kept me waiting, Dollie!" he grinned excitedly. "Sorry, I got caught up in a chat." Janine explained, putting down her water bottle and glove case on a corner of the room.

"Did you want me to stretch with you?" She asked, walking back over to the Scout.

He nodded. "'Course I did! Stretching'll get us ready for anything else we're boutta do in here." With this, Janine sat beside him and stretched out her legs onto the mat. She then reached her arms towards her right foot. "This isn't too bad for me, my legs aren't that long." she joked. Scout laughed, patting her back. "Yeah, you're a real shortie! I bet you can look real scary when you're fighting, though." He mused.

"Uh, I'm not so sure about that." she uttered. "I doubt there's a way to make a girl as short as me actually look intimidating."

"I bet she can if she tried real hard!" Scout suggested. Janine shrugged. "Eh, maybe." Scout then got up with a jump and ran in place for a few seconds. "Aiight now, let's see you try to land some of dem dere punches!" He headed towards the room's closet and opened the door, bringing out some targets.

The targets were simple, pillows propped up with flexible poles allowing them to move on impact from the weapons the mercs would use. On the pillows were photos of the faces of the enemy mercenaries. Some targets had more holes than others. Janine pondered for a moment. "The enemies look a lot like you guys. I'd feel bad hurting a target with your face on it, Scout."

"Well ain't dat cute, Sweet Cheeks." Scout smiled, picking out the target with the BLU Scout's face on it and showing it to her. "But I'm tons more handsome than dis guy ovah here." He winked at the Bruiser. "Now get dose gloves out, Dollie! I wanna see what you can do." Janine grabbed her gloves from their case and let Scout show her how far she should stand from the target.

"I wanna see you throw the best punches ya can!"

She attached the gloves to their sleeves and fit her arms inside of them. Bruiser became a bit nervous with the Bostonian's excited eyes on her. She took a deep breath in and let it back out. She then, with all of her strength, brought her right arm back and gave the target a powerful punch.

The impact caused the target to swing backwards a great distance. Scout whistled, very impressed with what he was seeing.

However, Janine regretted punching so forcefully. "N-no, wait a sec-" She watched, unable to move in shock as the glove began to recoil straight towards her face. She closed her eyes, attempting to prepare herself for the glove to hit her.

Without thinking, Scout ran towards Janine, grabbing her arm and pulling it out of the sleeve at a speed she could barely comprehend. She then felt herself being pushed down to the floor, the vinyl covered mat softening her fall.

The Bruiser didn't notice that she was covering her head with both arms in a defensive stance underneath the Scout. She felt his weight on her when she opened her eyes.

Janine looked around and noticed the Scout's hands on both sides of her. "You okay, Bruisah?" She heard his voice above her, full of concern. She then looked up to see him breathing heavily with a red face.

She felt her face warm up and panicked. "I-I am okay! Wh-what happened?" She asked, realizing that only one of her arms were in the sleeve with an attached glove, her right without one. "Uh, I took off your sleeve and pushed ya outta tha way." Scout then looked towards the wall, which was cracked from the glove flying across the room at it.

"That could been you if I didn't act fast!" He cautioned.
