The Girl
"Girls' night!" Darcy called out, as she went through the lab turning off all of the computers.
She gained several shouts of protests from the men, one very irritated look from Jane when she shut her machines down before she managed to save the results, and Hermione just managed to save the content before Darcy arrived at her desk to do the same with the laptop she was on.
"Are you mad?" Hermione inquired, clearly irate. "You didn't allow the majority to save content, Darcy!"
"We all know that the machines are in Friday's capable…" She stopped. "Does she have capable hands?" She waved off the thought. "Whatever. She saves everything when the computers and machines shut off before they should. So it's all good. We are having a girls' night out! That's an order." She cupped her sister's face with both of her hands. "You are so pale, you could be the invisible woman."
"Darcy, first of all, it's night. You said as much in your announcement. And second, I'm British. It's what we do well outside of sarcasm, tea, and boiling everything we cook."
"That's a lie!" Tony shot at her. "They may boil a lot of their food, but not all of it." He paused, as he looked over to Bruce. "Not like they used to do back in the day."
"See number one on that list, Stark." She snorted, as she rolled her eyes, muttering sarcastically, "And he calls himself a genius."
Somehow Darcy managed to get Hermione and Jane out of the labs, but no one with the exception of Friday really knew how. And she wasn't speaking, as per the arrangement with Darcy. She managed to get them to their rooms and changed into what she deemed party clothes. Hermione immediately said no to what her sister picked out and chose something else that wouldn't have her nipples showing.
"Then why have that dress at all?" Darcy demanded.
"Bucky picked it out for date nights and I never wear it for anyone else." She came out once more this time in a flowing floral maxi dress that managed to make her look girlish while still making her look elegant. Grabbing a silver and crystal jewel wrap, she put it on and turned to them to see that they were staring at her in what could only be awe. "What?" She looked down at herself. "It's not stained is it?"
"No," Darcy started. "It's just…" She looked to Jane.
"We just didn't think you knew you were a girl." Jane's face went red. "Well, we did, but…"
"But what?" Hermione asked, not knowing whether to be insulted or to laugh her arse off at their fumbling answers.
Just then Bucky walked in, stopping at the sight of Hermione dressed up.
Smiling she went to him, went to tiptoes, and kissed his lips lightly. "Darcy has informed me that we are having a girls' night out." Flicking a look to her sister and her best friend, she added, "They also told me that they didn't know that I knew I was a girl."
Smiling a wicked grin, he looked over to the two watching them. "Trust me. We both know she's a girl."
Both of their faces went red, as Hermione threw back her head and laughed. They went straight out the door with Hermione depositing another kiss on Bucky's smiling lips, racing out after her sister and her friend.
