ROSS FOUND GUILTY IN CONSPIRACY & ABUSE OF POWER
JUDGE HAVENFORD SENTENCES ROSS TO 40 YEARS IN PRISON
By Mark Cortez
NEW YORK CITY – It took months, but former Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross received his verdict. He was found guilty for all five counts, including abuse of power, illegal funding and conspiracy. Ross pleaded not-guilty to all five counts, arguing he abided the laws of the signed Sokovia Accords. Prosecutors argued Ross and his allies twisted the meaning of the Accords to fit within his agenda.
"It was clear from the start Secretary Ross used the Accords to promote his agenda. His attack on Mr. Parker and his classmates was unwarranted and not approved by the UN council," stated Franklin Nelson, consulting attorney for the prosecutors.
Defense attorney David Levin planned to make an appeal. "It is outrageous that my client is being punished for doing his duty to the American people."
Norman Osborn, co-conspirator, died before he could be prosecuted, but evidence found in his office proved of Ross and Osborn's consorting with each other to abduct and experiment on sixteen year old, Peter Parker. Continue on Page 7.

AVENGING PETER PARKER
Assassination. Kidnapping. Experiments. Conspiracy.
Written by Karen Page (contributor writer)
It's like a classic superhero tale. Boy loses parents under mysterious circumstances, obtains powers, is hunted by the government, and gets caught up in a conspiracy that links back to his mysterious past. But, it's not a tale. It's true.
For Peter Parker.
Parker enjoyed his plain, yet extraordinary life until it was disrupted by former Secretary of State, Thaddeus Ross's attack at Midtown Tech. From there, a series of kidnappings, assassinations, inhuman experimentation and government conspiracies unraveled a dark tragedy of the bright-eyed Parker.
After the brutal attack at Midtown Tech, the Avengers assembled to help the youngest superhero. They stopped the attack and rescued Parker from the military clutches.
That was only the beginning.
Leading the charge, Tony Stark took center stage in the assault against Ross, the government and the Sokovia Accords. An original signor, Stark pulled out of the Accords after witnessing the brutality against the young hero and other children. Stark vowed to "avenge" Parker and bring him safely home.
Stark kept his promise. Working alongside the rest of the Avengers, they got the country and later, the world, to turn against the Accords. They called for amendments. Some called to remove it entirely. They all wanted Ross fired. Some even wanted him in jail.
Overall, they all wanted Peter Parker.
The Avengers succeeded. They got the Accords removed and Parker returned to a hero's welcome.
If only the story ended there. While the rest of the world cheered on the successful homecoming, the Avengers discovered an even darker secret. The story wasn't over. Not even close.
The villain wasn't Thaddeus Ross. It was someone with more money and power. And a history with the Parker family.
Norman Osborn.

FORMER SECRETARY ROSS SEEKS APPEAL
Written by Jennifer Many
Two weeks ago, the Eastern District of New York sentenced Thaddeus Ross to life for abuse of power, conspiracy and unwarranted attack against minors. Ross pleads he followed protocol and his association with Norman Osborn and Oscorp was due to an approved government contract. The military has a contract with Oscorp and Osborn secured money in Ross's Enhanced Human Unit. Ross claimed he was unaware of Osborn's obsession with Peter Parker or Osborn's illegal experimentation.
Attorney David Levin, representing Ross, spoke on the matter that Ross indeed followed his patriotic duty and enforced the laws of the signed Accords.
"My client did his duty. He followed the law set by the Accords. He should not be—"
