It was a beautiful day, Contan was walking through a large open field.

"I think it would be a good idea to have lunch." Contan thought to himself as he looked around, he though that this would be the perfect place to set up for the afternoon. The grass was short, there were a few trees for Riolu to climb, it was quiet and open enough so that the other Pokemon could train.

After setting up, he released his Pokemon. Riolu for a few weeks had been staying with Kangaskhan in her pouch, but about a week ago, finally decided he was ready to leave said pouch, although Togepi wasn't ready to be independent yet.

"I'll be making curry." Contan said. "I won't be too long, so don't play too much until after lunch."

The Pokemon nodded. While most of them sat down to wait for lunch, Riolu went to climb a tree.

"Papa!" Riolu called out to Pangoro. Riolu had learned how to communicate with the others after about a week, but really couldn't comprehend the fact that Contan couldn't understand what he was saying.

Pangoro turned to see what Riolu was up to.

"What's up little Ri?" Pangoro asked. Little Ri was a nickname Pangoro gave to Riolu.

"Watch me climb this tree!" Riolu shouted.

Riolu then jumped. It was a very large pine tree, and Riolu loved challenges. But he did consider pine trees to be the easy ones since there were so many branches all around it. He jumped from branch to branch, within fifteen seconds, he was at the top. He was making quick progress in his abilities, not more than a week ago, he could barely climb at all. And even if he did make it to the top, he couldn't get down, so Pangoro would have to save him. But now, he could climb up and down with ease. Riolu kept climbing up and down, again and again until Contan called him.

"Riolu!" Contan called. "Come get some curry."

Riolu immediately zoomed over to where everyone else was and plopped down between Kangaskhan and Pangoro, whom he considered his mom and dad. He still remembered his biological mother, and was really only trying to get stronger to beat her, to get her approval.

Contan gave evryone a large bowl of Curry. It looked delicious, but they did not start eating yet. Contan sat down, closed his eyes, and put his hands together, and so did the Pokemon.

"Arceus." Contain said as he prayed. "That you for this wonderful meal that we are about to enjoy. Please bless us with many more. Amen."

They all started to dig in. Riolu was eating increadibly fast, since he wanted to go back to climbing trees. With him still being a baby though, he was an increadibly messy eater.

"Woah!" Kangaskhan said, surprised. "You're getting more curry on you than in you. You should slow down or you're going to get a tummy ache."

"Okay Mama." Riolu said slowing down.

Riolu was quickly the first to finish. But before he could run off, Kangaskhan grabbed a napkin and cleaned Riolu off. Riolu really didn't like when she did that seeing as he was trying to be independent, even though he still relied on her and Pangoro for quite a few things. It was over quikly though, and he ran off to continue climbing trees.

Riolu came across what looked like a really tall palm tree. He looked up, but couldn't clearly see all the way to the top. This was clearly the perfect challenge for him. He grasped onto the base then got a hold of the trunk. He began to shimmy up. It was quite long and took around fifteen minutes to climb, but he made it. At the top, he was looking down at everyone.

"Hey kid!" Shouted thee different voices.

"What?" Riolu asked out of confusion.

"What are you doing up here?" The voices asked. they sounded angry.

"Where are you?" Riolu asked.

The tree then started to violently shake. As it did, Riolu grasped onto it for dear life as he began to cry while he was flung back and forth.

"MAMA PAPA HELP!" Riolu cried.

Pangoro, Kangaskhan, and Contan stood up as they heard. They then turned to see what was happening. They both saw that an Alolan Exseggutor flinging Riolu back and forth.

"Pangoro!" Contant shouted. "Pick up the Exeggutor and tip it over so Riolu can get down!"

Pangoro ran over and picked the Executor up, causing it to stop shaking. He then tipped it over enough for Riolu to let go. Right after he did, he ran over to Kangaskhan who gave him a hug to comfort him. Pangoro then lifted the Exeggutor over his head and threw him about one hundred meters or so. Pangoro then walked over to it, grabbed it at the end of its neck, and dragged it over to Riolu.

"Apologize!" Pangoro shouted at the Exeggutor.

"I-I'm sorry!" Exeggutor said in a panic. "I'll never do it again!"

"Now Riolu." Kangaskhan said to Riolu. "What do you say to Exeggutor?"

Riolu turned to Exeggutor.

"I'm sorry for climbing you." Riolu said. "I thought you were just a tree."

Pangoro then put the Exeggutor upright and it walked off.

"Please don't climb any more Exeggutors, okay Little Ri?" Pangoro Urged Riolu.

"Okay Papa." Riolu said.
