Saturday August 29th. It was the end of eddies tour. She was supposed to be home at 5 but they got caught up in a collar and had to do paperwork. which made her get home at 8:30. She was exhausted. Her shoulder was feeling good too now, it was a rough start to the week with it but luckily it's back to almost normal now.
When she got home jaime was sitting on the couch drinking a beer watching tv. He turned around and looked at her when the door opened.
"Hey! Long day." He said.
"Hi" she replied. She sat down and they talked about her day and then she asked about his. It was the same old same. He said Emmalyn was actually a lot better today she only had 2 tantrums the whole day usually it's 4 or 5.
"Wowww go dad." Eddie told him nudging his arm with hers smiling. He smiled as it made him feel good he was acknowledged for being a good dad.
"How bout you, how's your shoulder?" He asked changing the subject. She told him it was only still slightly sore and she could drive the car today where as all week she rode shotgun to keep from straining it. He was glad to hear it.
"What's that look?" Eddie questioned him and he grinned, putting his hand on her back he leaned in for kisses.
He started getting handsy and Eddie pulled away.
"What's wrong?" Jaime whispered staring at her lips.
"Not tonight jaime I'm exhausted already" she said sighing and getting up to go to bed. Jaime let out a huff. Eddie heard him and turned around.
"What's that about?" She confronted. He stood up and walked after her into the bedroom she started undressing to put her night clothes on.
"It's just...been awhile...that's all" Jaime expressed to her. She glared at him.
"What it's been a little over a week..!" He told her and shrugged as he crossed his arms. She looked back in her drawer she was in, got out a T-shirt and shut the drawer forcefully.
"I've been sore all week does that not matter to you?!" She raised her voice at him.
"Eddie I understand that but you said it yourself, your feeling almost 100% now..." he argued back still talking in a calm tone. She got pissed and took off her pants, threw them in the hamper and got into bed.
"Eddie." He called out watching her.
"Your thinking with the wrong head Reagan. Maybe try the other one out." She laid down and faced the opposite direction. Jaime got into the bed and laid down facing Eddie but holding himself up on his side using is forearm. He put his other hand on her arm.
"Eddie can you look at me please." He waited but she said no.
"What happened to never going to bed angry?" He said and then she rolled over to face him but didn't wanna look at him.
"Well don't say things to make me angry maybe" Eddie suggested.
"Honey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry I've just been stressed out a little this week and thought you could help me out but I knew you weren't up for it. So when you said your feeling good I thought it would be a good time. But I'm sorry. I guess it wasn't." He told her and she accepted it.
He was happy she didn't take the argument Any further and went to bed.

The next day the 3 of them got to Franks house for dinner, they were having picnic food like hotdogs, hamburgers, cold pasta salad, baked beans, etc.
After they all prayed and filled there plates they caught up on everyone's week.
"You know I went to school with guy who never bought the school lunch lunch meat because it made him sick so his mom would pack him lunch meat sandwiches every other day his whole high school career." Nikki said at the table.
"Well at least he didn't need a sandwich packed everyday. At least if he wanted one more often he probably was smart enough to figure out that he should pack his own lunch meat." Eddie said as she played with the baked beans on her fork.
Jaime paused and looked at her, embarrassed that she was bring up there sex argument up at the table but using other words. Nikki was confused as to what Eddie was trying to say and so was everyone else as they exchanged looks.
Jaime didn't look at anyone except Eddie who didn't look up from her plate. Jaime had something to say back but didn't know if he should, he bit his tongue pondering it.
"Okay but it's nice his mom was willing to pack his lunch for him even if he didn't ask" Jaime blurted out. Nikki intervened by saying
"I mean yeah but his mom babies him she'd get upset if he made his own lunch. She was happy to do it for him" Nikki added unsure why jaime and Eddie were so into this topic.
"The mom sounds controlling" Jaime said trying not to smile and looked at his plate of food eating more. Eddies jaw dropped in shock. The family started to pick up on some tension.
"Well maybe she doesn't want him to get used to doing it by himself because then his mom wouldn't feel needed in his life anymore" Eddie shouted back looking straight at jaime this time.
The family was confused just listening to them go back and forth.
"Maybe he tries to let her know she's needed but doesn't always want to accept it." Jaime said raising his voice more.
"Hey. You two that's enough now-" Frank intervened and said but Eddie jumped in to say one more thing totally taking it off the rails.
"Well maybe he should be more sensitive to her and think about her feelings too!" She yelled at jaime and got up from the table and stormed out not wanting to hear anymore.
It was awkward as everyone stared at jaime he took a bite of his pasta salad and felt all the eyes on him. He let the fork drop in his plate and sat back in his chair letting out a deep breathe.
"Boys why don't you go throw a football around outside" Danny said, they got the hint and went along with it.
"Nikki why don't you take Emmalyn outside too and play with somthing" Erin added giving her the eye but she didn't need a hint she knew. She got up and took Emmalyn from the booster seat, left the room and out the back door.
Jaime sat there in thought. Frank spoke first.
"Jaime. What's going on son?" He said concerning.
"It's not really something I feel should be talked about here. It's more of a personal matter between me and Eddie. Hope everyone can respect that?" He asked dropping it.
"When you involve the family in it like you guys just did it isn't just between you and Eddie anymore. It's a family matter now." Frank said. Jaime looked at him in disbelief he had to talk about it now.
"Don't look at me like that jaime, I'm serious. Now go get eddie and we're gonna sit down and talk it out." Frank said. Jaime stared at him.
"What are you looking at go get her. Let's go" Danny added. Jaime slowly got up still confused and in shock. He went to the steps where she was sitting, shedding some tears.
"Hey. My dads ordering us back at the table to talk this out. C'mon" he said, holding his hand out that she took and took her to the table.
They both wanted to figure this out and if talking about their sex life with the commissioner and the rest of them was the ticket that's what they were going to do. They sat down and took a deep breathe.
"What's this about." Frank started off by saying. Eddie looked at jaime like "you talk".
"Well. Okay so. Last night, Eddie got home from work. And I politely asked her if she wanted to "go to bed" and she said no. She was exhausted and so-" Eddie cut him off.
"So I said no and he went on explaining how it's been over a week and blah blah blah. Not to mention I've been down and out all week with my shoulder, I could hardly even write up a ticket." Eddie said annoyed. They looked at everyone at the table. They were trying not to laugh.
Frank held a straight face but only for a few seconds. He lost it, everyone couldn't help but laugh at the fact that it was probably one of the most awkward conversations they've all ever been apart of. Even Jaime and Eddie started laughing and turning red embarrassed.
In all seriousness though they did have a good group conversation. Everyone sharing personal stories and life lessons. By the end of it all they were holding hands and both happy again
