I do not own Duck Tales.

Enjoy!

"Launchpad did what!?" He said as he read the text from a member who followed the Vulture, from beginning to end.

Smart Launchpad end wasn't in vain, Jigsaw knew what he sacrificed and he was indeed remembered in their ranks.

"However, he was seen walking out with the Duck family? Thank God, he's okay." He said. "But why isn't he online, then? He is always online."

Yes, online making everybody laugh.

How much did that beam erase? The worst-case scenario was that it reset him before he met Jigsaw and started learning from it.

However that Mark...

It was magical, it held memories.

As long as Launchpad realised that there is something that he needs to remember, that Mark will lead him back.

How could Launchpad mark not be special, he was the very first member.

"I will think about this later." He said before a door appeared. "Right now, I could have been killed if not for Launchpad. This means war but first I need information and I'm sure, more than a few people will be willing to do some Spy work"

He walked through the door.

He sure hoped Launchpad was okay.

#McDuck Manor#

He was right at the beginning.

The first to notice this was Scrooge and Webby.

Launchpad was back to talking none stop in the car, gone was that comfortable silence he had gotten into now he was back to talking about whatever popped into that empty brain of his.

He spent the whole day hanging with Dewey, watching Darkwing Duck and eating Pizza.

It was the best.

So many stupid jokes and so much cheese.

However the next morning, he felt like something was horribly wrong.

Maybe, he was hungry again?

He prepared to go to the bathroom, only for when he looked down to take off his pants did he see his chest was glowing.

And then it vanished.

His imagination?

He continued to undress and headed to the Guest Bathroom only to run in Lena.

"Everybody has gone on some mermaid adventure so it's just you, me and the ghost," said Lena.

"Great! We can hang out. Of course, after I get ready" he said before he closed the door.

He stepped into the bathtub only to look down and see his chest was glowing again.

Weird.

Maybe he should ask somebody about this?

He finished and got changed into his usual clothes and then he sat with Lena.

There were 10 minutes of awkward silence between them as he tried to think of anything to talk about.

He had never actually held a conversation with this girl and at least with Della, he knew they were both into piloting.

"So... did you watch any good movies lately?" He said. "Want to watch Darkwing Duck with me?"

"No and No," said Lena, getting him down.

"Well, do you want to play I, spy?" He said. "I spy with my little eye something beginning with... Carpet"

And Lena said. "You're supposed to say the first letter of what your thinking and not the word itself." Before she said. "And no"

"Oh," said Launchpad. "Well, how about dress up? You can be the princess and I can be the...ur."

"Prince?" said Lena.

"Right," he said.

"I can see why you hang out with Dewey a lot, your not very bright are you?" she said. "It was too bad, you were a lot more interesting before"

"Huh?" He said.

But the girl turned back into a shadow and walked out.

Leaving him alone in the room and the Ghost nowhere in sight.

Oh, right then...

He went back to his room and decided to watch more Darkwing Duck.

However as he watched it again, he couldn't help but feel like he should be doing something better right now, which was ridiculous because nothing was better than this show.

But he couldn't stop scratching that feeling like he should be in a cool place or have somebody sitting next to him.

Maybe Comic books would ease his mind?

He sat up and began to walk to his comic selection, he had hundreds, thanks to his monthly subscription but as he browsed through it he discovered something shocking.

He saw books that weren't colourful and thin at all.

"What is this? 'Arabic for Dummies'?" He said, "Did this come in the monthly comic book issue? Or did somebody else leave it here and I took it by mistake?"

He opened it, only for his eyes to go wide with shock.

On the page that said 'This book belongs to' was in his own handwriting and signature 'Launchpad McQuack'.

He stared, it was exactly his childish writing, he began to flip through it and it was like walking through his school books all over again, he had completely covered it in pen drawings showing just how chaotic his mind was.

Something kicked his brain and he turned to see the other strange books and opened them.

Every single of them either was chalked full of drawings he would do or he had put his name on it.

Really weird.

"Why would I write over a book that's not mine? I'll get into trouble" he said as something within him facepalmed.

He decided to get lunch before sitting back down and going to his phone, he couldn't wait to see what the others were tweeting about their adventure.

However, when he did so and typed in his usual password, he was denied.

Repeatedly.

The phone locked.

"I must have lost the password again. I'll ask Dewey to unlock it when he gets back" he said.

Just then the bookshelf began to creak and lead over, some books began to fall.

His body reacted faster than his mind and with the movements of somebody clearly trained, he swiftly caught all of it while having time to do an elegant balance at the end.

He put them all back.

"Woah. Where did that come from?" he said, since when did he have such moves, he usually just swung blindingly and hoped the person went down after the first punch.

He never moved that fast before, the movement reminded him of Miss B.

And then he noticed the almost empty puzzle hung up.

He walked to it and wondered why a picture of Darkwing Duck wasn't in it instead.

He went to take it off, only to find out that he couldn't.

He tried again.

It wasn't budging.

He had never met something so tiny that he could not move.

It indeed wasn't budging.

"Maybe, if I get a hammer?" He said.

Before he heard the sound of a plane flying over ahead.

He was Launchpad McQuack, he knew very little but one of the things he did knew was the sound of the plane coming back.

He took his phone and ran to meet the plane.

He was dangerously close to it but Della was an amazing pilot so she didn't hit him.

The plane opened up and the ducks began to walk out.

He saw Dewey and looked huge relieved.

"Dewey!" He said, rushing in and stunning the Duck and everybody else. "I can't remember the code to unlock my phone!"

Phone code?

That was it?

He made it look like this was a death and life emergency.

"Unlock your phone? Shouldn't you have it?" Said Dewey.

"I can't remember it!" he said. "You're always the one who can remember it"

"Well, I can't help you at this time. You changed it, remember?" said Dewey.

Launchpad looked stunned and said. "What? Why would I change my phone password? I don't even know how to change it"

"Well, you did," said Dewey. "It was quite a while ago too. You're always on your phone, typing away"

And he blinked and said. "No, I'm not. I usually just sit on the couch and watch my marathons. Why would I be texting? I only have you guys and most of you are on a big adventure every day"

"Well, you were." Said Dewey. "You should go to a shop and pay money to unlock it" before the Duck walked past him.

"Thanks, Dewey, for the advice!" he said before he ran to the front and said. "Oh, can I go on the next adventure with you guys? I haven't been on an adventure in forever!"

"What are you talking about Launchpad? You want on that huge adventure with us last week" said Scrooge.

"I did?" He said, surprised.

"You really impressed me with your flying," said Della.

"Without you, we would have gone the long way round," said Huey.

"Yeah. Dewey said you sparked a fire with two rocks and-" Webby didn't get to finish because he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head when he tried to remember.

The next thing he knew, he was staring at the ground and his palm had sweat all over it.

He looked to see everybody was gathering around him.

"Ah...what just happened?" He said.

"You tell us. We just started talking about the mission and you started clenching your head" said Miss B. "It was as if we just triggered some suppressed memory"

"English," he said.

"You don't want to remember something so you don't," said Louie.

"Ah," he said.

"But why would you suppress something when you were so kick-ass?" Said Dewey as he got up. "Remember when you just carried me through an invisible bridge with Lava right behind us? How did you know that would-"

He clenched his head again.

He didn't look good.

"Everybody get him somewhere better," said Scrooge.

It was probably the first time, all of them got him somewhere and circled in protection.

"This doesn't make sense why would Launchpad, block that out?" said Louie. "You would think that mission would be his prize memory."

"Launchpad...I want to ask you slowly. Did something happen to you recently?" Said, Miss B.

"I don't think so. Everything is pretty much the same" he said.

"Launchpad, you really need to think back. Anything interesting or traumatic?" Said, Scrooge. "Maybe a Ray or something?"

"Wait. Do you mean like the Ray in the video game from Funzones, from yesterday?" Said Dewey.

"Ray? What Ray?" Said Della.

"It was in the virtual reality game" Dewey went on to explain. "We got to the cards table where this guy appeared and challenged us to a game of cards. It was kind of weird but Launchpad won. And then the guy attacked us, I tried to help only to get kidnapped. When Launchpad got to me, it was a trap. Both of us were knocked out cold and then we woke up in cells and Launchpad got us out. We tried to find the exist only to be surrounded by enemies. We fought but then a beam came toward me and Launchpad moved to take it. I thought he lost his last life because we only had one left, but then I was kidnapped again. But it was okay because the next time I saw him, he was on a boat with a suit and really smart"

Everybody but Launchpad mouth was open.

What?

But Dewey continued and said. "And it was awesome! No matter how much this guy tried to get rid of Launchpad, Launchpad stayed on his tail. I was taken to this tower where I could see Duckburg. Best graphics I have ever seen in my life, by the way. But I was tied so I didn't get to see what was happening so I assumed this beak guy was defeated because Launchpad untied me, however, he kept going. It turns out to beat the game he had to go in front of a laser that will take away his smarts. Certain words were said but Launchpad did it. He got in front of it and was blasted and then he plunges into the ocean. I couldn't leave my buddy so I jumped with him. We plunged into the sea below and then we woke up to find ourselves back at the Arcade. 10 out of 10. I felt like we were in danger this whole time. But I wouldn't play it again. The punches felt too real for my head"

Everybody but Launchpad stared at him.

"What?" Said the Duck. "It's just a game."

"You crossed game possibility a long time ago! Being able to feel punches isn't possible yet!" said Huey. "That was real! How else do you explain Launchpad mental state?"

"Oh," said Dewey.

"But what I don't understand is why this ray blocked this memory out," said Scrooge.

"Maybe...it wasn't the memory itself but what's in the memories," said Webby. "Launch is supposed to be stupid" before she said. "No offence"

"None taken," he said.

"Well, maybe the ray hid where he learnt how to do moves or speak Arabic? Anything that was taught to him beyond basic living" said Webby.

"Whats Arabic? Is that food?" He said. "Wait. There's a book in my room that has that word on. It has my name on it too"

"I think that beam did not just dumb him down but took a huge part of Launchpad with it," said Louie. "No wonder he forgot his phone password. It went with that blast"

"So does that mean, our next adventure is exploring Launchpad?" Said Della.

"Really?" Said Webby. "Alright!"

They all looked at her.

"No offence Launchpad but before you were a lot more interesting," said Webby. "Inside your mind could be a life-altering secret"

"I don't think Launchpad can ever be that sophisticated," said Della.

Well, all of them weren't opposed to helping Launchpad find himself, surely they would finally found out why Launchpad was acting strange these past couple of weeks.

"Alright. First up. The security room!" said Scrooge.

However, all them would soon learn, that trying to find inner Launchpad was downright dangerous.

And scene!
