Tuesday May 25th

It was 10am when Eddies contractions started to really intensify. She decided to sit down in the quiet peaceful house as Emmalyn was at school and Jaime was taking a nap on the couch . She took a deep breath.

A few minutes later she got back up to finish vacuuming the bedrooms. She turned on music to take her mind off the contractions. Which woke up jaime. He stumbled in to watch her vacuum.

"Sorry honey." She said and turned off the vacuum.

"Don't be sorry" he smiled and kissed her.

"Want to help me? Clean the bathrooms?" She asked him nicely.

"Huh I guess if you need me to." He said.

"Well I'm really not supposed to handle the chemicals with the baby." She held her stomach.

"Right. No worries babe I got it." He said, kissed her cheek and went to clean.

After a half hour of swiffering the kitchen floor and cleaning out the fridge she was still in pain. An up beat song came on so she decided to dance with the swiffer pole to loosen up. Jaime poked his head out to watch her secretly a second as He loved it.

She started getting tired after a little bit so she put the broom aside and then

Pshhhhhhh

Her water broke.

"Oh. My. God." She said to herself, the music still playing throughout the apartment Jaime didn't hear her.

"JAIME..." she yelled over the music not wanting to move because it was just the weirdest feeling. He heard the fear in her voice and came out to see her.

"What happened?" He said to her.

"My water broke" she said in shock.

"Oh. For real?!" He asked looking down at the puddle that her feet were in. She shook her head yes and started to cry she was a little scared.

"Hey. Hey. Eddie, don't cry everything's good!" Jaime reassured her and rubbed her arm.

"We need to clean this up and go." Eddie said.

"Okay okay. We are. Um. Let me get a towel." Jaime told her and went to get a bath towel and turned off the tv. Eddie moved out of the puddle and waddled to the bedroom to get changed. Jaime came in to help her get into the yoga pants she wanted to wear.

"You need to call pop, he's going to have to pick up Em." Eddie told him.

A few moments later they were in the car on the way to the hospital. Jaime called frank to let him know what was going on and that he'd keep him updated. He briefly glanced at eddie who was crying of fear.

"Hey I gotta go now dad...yup bye." He said and put the phone down. He grabbed eddies hand.

"Janko look at me. You got this. Your a tough girl." He told her. She breathed in and out to relax.

When they got to the hospital they got right back to the room and into a gown. Jaime didn't leave eddies side.

The doctor was in the check her dilation and everything else.

"Okay Eddie you are 3cm dilated and everything looks great." She said and left the room.

An hour and a half had gone by and eddies contractions were intense. Jaimes hand already hurt from her squeezing his hand with all of them. The doctor came back to check her dilation again.

"Okay Eddie you are 5cm dilated now are you still interested in the epidural?" The doctor asked.

"Hell yeah!" She told her, she smiled and Jaime laughed.

-4 hours later-

"Okay 1,2,3 PUSH!" The doctor demanded. Eddie beared down and did just that. Squeezing jaimes hand and the rails on the bed.

"Good job! Let's do that again 1,2,3 push!" The doctor said to her.

"Your doing amazing Eddie" Jaime said standing next to her.

"Alright she's crowning let's get her out, one big push! Ready and push!" The doctor commanded her again. She beared down and pushed one last time.

"Huh!" She said out of breathe exhausted as she used all her strength to push that baby out.

Wahhhhh*

"She's here!" The doctor said and laid the baby right on eddies chest. She immediately started to cry and tried to look at her daughter who was screaming bloody murder. The nurses pulled the top of her gown down and told her to lay the baby on her chest for warmth as they suctioned out her nose. Jaime laid his head next to hers and kissed eddies cheek.

"You did amazing honey." He told her and touched his daughter in shock it was his.

A little bit later Eddie was cleaned up and so was the baby. As she sat in her own room nursing her for the first time, it was amazing. Jaime sat in the bed with her they just stared at this gorgeous human they made. She stopped eating so Eddie put herself away.

"Here you can burp her" Eddie said.

"Alright ha.." he laughed and opened his hands to take her. She passed her off to him. He was so gentle and sweet with her. It was the most amazing feeling to him. He made this. He started to tear up and Eddie of course saw.

"Hi sweet girl." He said eyes full of emotion, he kissed her head and then brought her to his chest to burp her.

"Awwww Jaime stop I cried enough the last 9 months." She told him, he smiled to try and shake it off but couldn't, they just fell down his cheeks. Eddie laid her head on his shoulder and looked at their baby.

10 minutes later there was a knock at the door and then it opened. It was a nurse

"Theres some visitors here to see you." She said.

"They can come in!" Eddie said excitingly sitting up in bed ready for company. The nurse stepped aside and in cane frank, Erin, Danny, pop, the boys, Emmalyn and Nikki.

"Awww" said Nikki.

"She's so small." Said Sean.

"Congrats guys." Danny said.

"She's beautiful." Erin said.

"Babies are such a miracle aren't they." Pop said. Frank walked closer to get a good look.

"She looks like you jaime." He said.

"Oh?" He said laughing in reply.

"That's what I said!" Eddie nudged him and the baby jumps in fear from eddies excitement.

"Oo sorry sweetie." Eddie says touching her cheek.

"DADDY I GOT TO DRIVE IN POPOPS CAR!" Emmalyn yelled excitingly when she saw Jamie.

"You did!? I bet that was fun!" Jamie said to her laughing.

"This was a lights and sirens event." Frank smiled and said, everyone laughed and agreed.

"Emmalyn come here. Do you wanna meet your little sister!" Jaime said wanting her to come see her. Danny lifted her up to see the baby in Jamie's arms.

"The baby!" She said excited.

"Yeah this is the baby that was in my belly Em, she's here now!" Eddie told her. Emmalyn didn't really understand but she leaned in closer to see.

"My baby?" She asked.

"Your little sister yeah!" Eddie told her.

"You wanna hold her Em?" Jaime asked and she shook her head yes. Danny helped her sit comfy on the bed next to Jamie and he put her into her arms.

"I'm gonna cry you guys." Erin said. Everyone laughed at her. Emmalyn just stared at the tiny little baby.

"Hi baby." She said to her, it made everyone laugh she was too funny.

"So how was the birth?" Pop asked.

"Pop!" Frank said.

"What Francis I want to know." He said in defense. Frank shook his head. He just didn't need to hear about it.

"Oh well I mean it hurt but it went fast. Once I got the epidural it was smooth sailing." Eddie said. Everyone just listened and nodded.

"Wanna hold her dad?" Jaime asked, he looked into his sons face.

"...yes." He said and smiled. Jaime took the baby and handed her off to him. His face lit up. He just stared at her, his eyes getting cloudy.

"Do you have a name yet?" He asked and looked at them. Eddie and Jaime looked at eachother and nodded at each other.

"Yes. Scarlett Elaina Reagan." Eddie told him. Everyone loved it.

"Hi Scarlett. I'm your grandpa." Frank said softly to her as she laid there asleep he let her grab his finger. He was in love with her already. Everyone couldn't help but smile at how sweet this moment was. It's been a long time since frank had held a baby of his own blood. It brought tears to his eyes.
