"Babe? Almost ready?" Jamie called through the bathroom door to Eddie. It was the first Sunday dinner as a family of 4 and he didn't want to be too late. It was another rough night though, they skipped church and napped all morning but they were still exhausted.

"Yeah sorry" Eddie said opening the door. She looked amazing.

"Wow, you do not look like someone who just gave birth less then a week ago" Jamie laughed and it made Eddie feel good.

"Are the girls ready?" She asked him as she slipped on her shoes.

"Yup, big sisters got the bag and little sisters sleeping in her car seat." Jamie told her.

"Okay. Huh." Eddie was looking around the room flustered.

"What's wrong?" He asked her.

"Nothing I just. I don't want to forget anything." She said.

"Honey we got the diaper bag, we got the bouncy seat, your pump. What else is there? You got the drinks." He laughed pointing to her chest. Which made her smile and hit him playfully.

"Shut up ha. I guess that's it though." She said and started to walk out to leave. She held Emmalyn's hand putting the diaper bag on her back. Jamie got the car seat and bouncy seat and off they went.

They walked in to find everyone helping in the kitchen.

"Knock knock" Jamie called out as they came through.

"Heyy!!" Danny said coming over to greet them.

"Glad you guys made it!" Erin said coming to see Scarlett sleeping away.

"Grandpa! What is that!?" Emmalyn ran over to Frank who was cutting up ham with an electric knife. He stopped and got down to her level for a big hug she was excited to see him.

"It's a knife to cut up our dinner so we can eat it!" He explained and she was interested in this idea.

"You look great Eddie how are the nights?" Erin asked as Jamie took the bag off her back and set it aside.

"Thank you they've been a little brutal but we're doing it haha." She told her. Erin nodded in remembrance of those nights. Jamie knelt down to get Scarlett out of the car seat as Eddie was talking to everyone.

She looked so precious still sleeping. Danny seemed like he wanted to hold her as he was still looking at her.

"Wanna hold her Danny before she gets cranky?" Jamie asked.

"Of course." Danny said and Jamie handed her off. Danny couldn't help but smile it took him back to when the boys were that small. Jamie picked up the empty car seat and put it to the side. Then went to the fridge and got a beer.

"Hey Em, sit on your butt. You can watch but sit on the chair." Jamie told her as she was standing on the chair watching Frank cut the ham.

"So what can I help with?" Eddie asked but everything was claimed to be done.

"Alright my turn." Erin said to Danny about Scarlett. Danny handed her over.

Everyone went and sat down to eat. Jamie put the bouncy seat on the floor near Eddie and Erin. Erin put Scarlett in it and then sat down. They bowed their heads in prayer and then they dug in.

"This all smells amazing" Eddie said.

"Yeah better then what we've been eating." Jamie added. Eddie side eyed him.

"I just mean we finished the casseroles people had made for us." Jamie said.

"So what have you been eating now?" Nikki asked.

"we've had mostly pancakes, cereal, pb jelly sandwiches and chicken patties haha" he laughed.

"Well you push a baby out and let me know when you feel up for cooking" Eddie said angrily. Jamie looked at her he couldn't even speak he was surprised how quickly she bit his head off.

"Eddie. That's not what I'm saying at all." Jamie said back.

"Then what were you saying. Jamie." She asked back. Everyone was quiet.

"Just that we ate everything we were given." He said back, she didn't have anything else to say.

"Let's keep it civil." Frank said eyeing that Emmalyn was sitting in the same room.

"Sorry dad." Jamie said apologizing as he felt like it was his fault for starting it. Pop asked Sean how school was going to change the subject. Scarlett had started to fuss. Eddie took another quick bite, wiped her mouth and started to get up.

"You want me to get her?" Jamie asked looking at her.

"Oh did your milk come in? I wasn't aware." Eddie snarled back.

"I may not be feeding you but I am the only one who can feed this baby. Give me a break." Eddie said and took her to the other room to nurse. Everyone looked at Jamie confused.

"She's been exhausted, up all night you know how it is." Jamie said and got up to go talk to her.

"Where's daddy going?" Emmalyn asked.

"To talk to your mommy." Erin said. Emmalyn kept eating.

"Did you know my daddy put baby Scarlett in my mommy's belly?" She asked and everyone about fell over trying not to laugh.

"Eddie. Hey." Jamie saw her sitting on the couch covered up nursing Scarlett.

"Please just go enjoy your meal." She said and he sat down next to her.

"Eddie I really didn't mean to upset you." He told her.

"Well it was an unappreciated comment." She told him.

"I'm sorry. You know I think your doing an amazing job and I can cook too. I can take on that responsibility, your gonna already have a lot on your plate." Jamie told her nicely. Eddie looked at Jamie.

"Jamie. I'm not saying I don't want to cook and need you to do it. All I'm saying is, this whole mom thing is still new and now with a newborn it's even newer. I just need time to adjust. My whole life I've only had to take care of myself. I'll get into the routine but give me some time. Someday hopefully soon I'll be able to have a home cooked meal on the table ready for you when you get home. But right now. Can we just eat the frozen chicken patties in the freezer?" She expressed to him. He loved everything she said. He didn't say anything he just kissed her.

"I'm sorry for freaking out infront of everyone." She confessed.

"It's fine. I love you. Don't think you are alone in this." Jamie said to her. He decided he should get back to the table so he sat back down.

"Everything okay?" Frank asked.

"Everything's great." He smiled happily and kissed Emmalyn on the cheek.

"Daddy! That was a wet kiss!" She said wiping it off and everyone laughed including Jamie.

"Aw I'm sorry I just love you so much" Jamie teased at her and started eating again.

10 minutes went by and Eddie came back to the table with Scarlett up on her shoulder on a burp rag sleeping.

"Milk drunk" Nikki said observing her.

"I know right. She's something" Eddie said sitting down gently and attempting to eat with one hand while the other was holding Scarlett against her body. The family exchanged looks as Eddie struggled.

"Hey. I have an idea. How bout you let ol grandpa hold her while you eat." Frank said to her.

"Oh it's really okay I got it." Eddie said trying to cut her ham with only a fork. Jamie just watched her and exchanged looks with Frank. Should he say something or let it go he thought. He got up and knelt down next to Eddies seat and looked at her.

"Babeee..." Jamie said to her nicely smiling wanting her to give her up so she could relax. She grinned and gave Scarlett to Jamie. He handed her off to Frank and then rubbed her shoulders a second on his way back to sit down.

"Relax." He told her. Frank laid Scarlett in his chest and drank his glass of whiskey. Eddie had a really good support system and she couldn't be happier.
