A/N: this is my first fanfic, so don't hate on how bad it may be. I've never done this before, but I have wanted to for a while. Anyway, I'll try not to make too many mistakes. Also, this is set before the first titan war.
Chapter One: Message
A/N: this is my first fanfic, so don't hate on how bad it may be. I've never done this before, but I have wanted to for a while. Anyway, I'll try not to make too many mistakes. Also, this is set before the first titan war.
Percy woke to the sound of hammering on his cabin door. The low abalone structure was usually quite peaceful, but not today apparently. "PERCY!" a voice yelled. Oh gods. Annabeth. Yeah, sure, Annabeth was nice, but the daughter of Athena was quite annoying at times. "Come on man, we've got a problem!" a different voice was speaking. ah. Grover was also here. That was better than just Annabeth alone. "Okay! Okay. I'm getting up." I grumbled into my pillow. I hauled myself out of bed and trudged to the door. "PERRCCYY!" Annabeth yelled again. "Hold on! I'm getting there!" I yelled back, opening the door. Annabeth was standing on the doorstep, frowning with her arms crossed on her chest. Grover was chewing on a wooden club nervously. "Yeah? What is it?" I crossed my arms too, mimicking Annabeth. Her arms dropped to her sides. I hid a smile. "So? Why do you need to wake me at uhhh, 4 am?" I say, checking my watch. "A lone demigod was found wandering the beach. She's claiming to be the daughter of Gia, for god's sake. She says that she will talk to you, specifically." Annabeth scowled. "She's kind of cute, I guess." she said, her scowl deepening. "What? Why?" "Percy, just come on man, that girl is freaky. Juniper's already gone dormant, and the rest of the nymphs are going the same way. They don't like that girl, and she's messing up the ecosystem, man, plants are dying." Grover stammered. "Ok dude, i'll go. But i still need my sleep, so don't expect to see me in the morning." I growled, stalking towards the beach. Gods, who was this chick? Thinking she could just waltz on into camp, talk to whomever she wanted, yeah right. I gotta see what she's up to. It can't be good.
"So, Perseus Jackson. You are going to try and defeat my brother?" the girl smirked. She looked about sixteen, a year older than me. "Who are you? Why do you think you're entitled to barge into this camp like you own the place?"
"Why, Perseus, that may be because I do in fact own this camp. Twenty years ago, my mother, Gaia, forced Chiron to hand over the deed to me. Sure, I let him run the place, but I do own it."
"How can you have gotten the deed twenty years ago? You're like, sixteen!"
"Oh? I'm flattered you think I look so young." her appearance altered until a middle aged woman stared at me with a cold smile. Her appearance changed again until she was a sixteen year old again.
"Have fun, Perseus. I'll see you later." with a final wink, she evaporated into a fine mist, blowing away on the breeze. When she was gone, a note fluttered to the ground. I picked it up and read the words aloud. 'My name is Demia. Shore up your defences. I'll be back'
I looked at the note and read it again. Chiron should know about this, he's obviously met her. That horse has some explaining to do.
A/N: Was that ok? The next chapter is on it's way, maybe by Saturday or earlier? Please review, it only takes five minutes of your time.
