Day three of creation was off to a rocky start. Raphael had had just about enough of the annoying question asking angel. On top of all that Cassil felt the need to yell at every plant in the garden of Eden when they went there. The plants were being made and the angels were helping out and for some unknown reason, Cassil had decided he wanted to help the lower angels do lower angel work.

"No Cassil for the last time you can not go and help put the grass in the ground. No, you can not help put the apples on the tree. No, you can not help with the seaweed. No you can not help with the pines. You are a Seraphim meaning we are only here to survey the angels and make sure no one is planning anything." Raphael said attempting to mute the anger in his voice. He was unsuccessful.

"But Raphy come on!" Cassil whined. "The trees need to all be yelled at! Look at how that tree by the water over there is slouching! Bad posture is bad for angels, right? Why is it not bad for trees?"

"Cassil that is a Weeping Willow. They are supposed to slouch like that."

"Oh, but why can't I help with the pine needles?"

"Because it is a lower angel job like for the Principalities to do."

"Can I be a Princibtality for today?"

"No Cassil you can't just change your social angel status for the day. Now can we just please have five minutes of peace and enjoy the work the Almighty has set before us."

"Oh, Raphy I am enjoying it! The plants are amazing! I just feel like with a little more discipline they would be more obedient to the laws of gravity don't you agree?"

Raphael did not turn his head or answer.

"Raphy or sorry Rapheal ssssir! Hello! Aren't you gonna answer my questions?"

It was then that Cassil realized everyone had stopped moving and that time itself was paused.

"Hello Cassil." came a deep menacing voice behind him.

Cassil slowly turned and found the angel Zadkiel standing behind him. She had dark black hair and soft blue eyes. Her skin was so pale when the sun touched her face she glowed like a lighting bolt. Not that he had seen one yet as there was only perfect weather.

"Hi, Zadkiel! What is going on? Why did you stop time?"

"I didn't do this."

"What? Then who do and how come we are the only ones moving?"

"You ask too many questions."

"I get that a lot."

"Listen you are different yes?"

"No...I am a good angel."

She shook her head and motioned to Raphael. "He certainly doesn't seem to think so."

Cassil shook his head letting the soft curls fall on his shoulders. "Naw Rapheal sssir is cool with me."

"Don't you find it strange?"

"Find what strange?"

"All this power being thrown around and wasted on such futile things like grass and trees and fungus." She listed all the vegetation off like it was poison in her mouth.

Cassil froze unsure if this was an angel pop quiz and since he had slept rather than read the books he was given he certainly did not want to sound silly. What would Raphael think?

"Yes of course." He lied trying to control the shaking in his voice.

Zadkiel grinned and replied "Good...I am glad you see it from our perspective."

"Our perspective?"

"Yes ours. Amazing how you can freeze all of time but yet are reduced to nothing more than a right-hand servant to goody two shoes over here."

Cassil looked down at his palms sheepishly. "I..I did this?"

"Yes, you did. Don't waste your talents here. Serve the true master who wants to give humans and angels a real choice. Real power."

"Oh no thanks...I don't think...I am really not sure what is going on...can you help me restart time? I just..."

"Aww! What's the matter Cassil? Shy? Can't handle the hideous truth that you have been duped by the Almighty?" She said in a mocking tone as she laughed.

"What do you mean?"

"Do you see her power? She created all this! Sure she had the angels help out with little things here and there but at the end of the day she still made and created all this. Imagine what we could do with that power! We could be gods! We could create and destroy."

"Create? You mean like She does?"

"Exactly Cassil."

With that Cassil proceeded to think. Really think and only came up with more questions.

"So do it Cassil."

"Do what?"

"Restart time smartass!" She said harshly crossing her arms over her chest aggressively.

"Right...and how do I do that exactly?"

She snorted and then turned and whispered into her sleeve "Told you this bumbling fool couldn't help us make hellfire Anxo."

Hellfire? What on God's now green earth was that? Probably something in the book of law he didn't read. But sleeping was so much more fun than reading. And now he might even lose whatever his position was all because he screwed up and froze time by mistake.

"Wait! I can do it!"

He then began flailing his arms around like a tree on cocaine.

"Whatever are you doing?" She snarled turning to him in annoyance.

"Restarting time? Hello! Haven't you been paying attention? I did this so I can fix it obviously!" He felt confidence stream through his body along with the power that flowed through his poor excuse for arm motion.

Then time moved on. Raphael looked at him weirdly. Then turned and saw Zadkeil standing there like a night stalker with a psychopathic smile on her face.

"You are not supposed to be over here." Raphael said in a demanding voice.

"My deepest apologies Raphael sir but Lucifer just has requested Cassil's presence at the Hall of records back up in heaven Raphael sir."

Lucifer? The Lucifer? As in the angel of light! Man Cassil's day was going great!

Raphael nodded and dismissed them both. Cassil summoned his wings and felt the wind soar around him as he went after Zadkiel. He was actually glad to be flying high in the sky looking down at all of God's creation so far rather than stuck with boring Rapheal sir. But a good angel would never admit that. And he was a good angel.
