Cassil was not looking forward to the fifth day of creation. Worst off he barely got any sleep after Zadkiel had dragged him off by his hair like a rag doll to the freaky demon show. And Azrael was working with the demons? Since when? Wasn't she Micheal's right-hand angel? Well, now Micheal would have to work with an angel with no left hand. Cassil mentally punched himself for that ill-timed joke.

But then again from what he had heard about Micheal, she was just like the other archangels. But both were no were to be seen when roll call was taken. He wanted to ask but then flinched remembering Raphael's beatings and warnings and decided against it. Luckily Gabriel answered and announced to the angels that Micheal and Azreal were off near the Tree of Knowledge and would be figuring out where to place it in order to give humans a choice to know evil.

Personally, Casssil thought the whole thing was super dumb. He couldn't see what was so bad about knowing the difference between good and evil. Everywhere he looked he saw angels who thought everything they did was good because they apparently could do no evil and demons who only liked evil because they thought good was overrated.

But back to the real questions. Had Micheal noticed Azrael's missing hand? Did the archangels suspect something? He guessed not because he was always the scapegoat of the Seraphims when something went wrong so far. No doubt stupid Sandalphon would find some way to connect him with the demons. Well, he was connected with the demons but that wasn't the point.

He hadn't meant to get caught up in this whole war thing anyways. He just froze time which he didn't even know he could do. And stupid Zadkiel had dragged him into it.

It also bothered Cassil how all the demons treated Lucifer as some sort of god now. The archangels maybe pricks but at least none of them demanded to be worshiped like the Almighty. Not even Metatron didn't act like that and he was just as powerful as Lucifer was.

But one thing was for certain and that was Cassil did not want to get on Lucifer's bad side. If he could convince and manipulate Azrael to cut off her own hand than he did not know what he would do to him if he ever found out about the extreme cognitive dissonance going on within him.

Though to be fair Rapheal would probably find somewhat to elect a similar punishment to the Hellfire if he ever found out Cassil had anything to do with these demon folk who were planning to literally overthrow the Almighty.

He knew it won't work which is why he kept his distance. But he couldn't leave because he had nothing left to lose. And a secret part of him wanted to get out of heaven but not so he could become a literal god.

He didn't need to own the universe or capture living creatures to appreciate the beauty of it. He would have been content living amongst the stars by himself.

Well, it would have gotten lonely but at least they were part of his work and he made sure what Raphael had done to him would not taint that image in any way.

And baptism by hellfire? Cassil shook to his core. He could only imagine what horrific punishment they had planned for the night of day six for him. He was not looking forward to it at all.

Raphael demanded they fly down to the ocean and get in their respective places and that is what they did.

The ocean was fucking cold as expected. Sure space was cold but it felt so much more open. Being within the confines of the water structure felt paralyzing. He felt trapped and he especially did not like being down here with Gabriel, Sandalphon and Raphael.

But he kept an upbeat attitude and quickly turned to help put stripes on the lionfish although he thought it looked more like a tiger. Raphael watched him closely the entire time making sure he did not take too long on one species of the ocean and would move on to the next as he constantly kept reminding them.

It wasn't until he saw Raphael rush over to help Sandalphon with putting correct number of legs on an octopus did he realize Gabriel was missing. Where did that prick go? Probably was off with Micheal deciding if the humans were worthy enough to even have free will. Cassil scoffed at the idea and figured that definitely was where he had popped off too.

Then he looked back up from his favorite critter of the sea the jellyfish as he put the same amount of time and effort as the stars as Raphael was too busy cleaning up Sandalphon's messes did he see Gabriel was back.

He squinted closer cursing the water silently for blurring his vision and saw Gabriel looked paler and more scared than he ever had. His eyes were a sad light violet. He bent down to Raphael and whispered something to him and Raphael's eyes widened.

Something was definitely going on. Cassil looked down and realized he was straining the poor jellyfish he was putting color into.

"Sorry little fellow," He whispered and gently patted the jellyfish.

He looked up and saw Raphael standing above him with a scowl on his brow. Cassil froze with fear expecting another beat down over either taking too long with the jellyfish or talking to the jellyfish like an angel or both but instead, Raphael told him he had to leave to go to an important meeting and that if any angel was to come looking for they were not to be sent to him until he got back and Cassil was to take notes on everything they said and use his knowledge from the angel books he had been given his first hours of life which he hoped for his sake he had read.

"Yes, Raphael sir." He mumbled relieved he wasn't about to go through what happened yesterday again.

Gabriel gave the same speech to Sandalphon and the two archangels used their wings to fly to the surface of the water with alarming speed. Archangels always flew with grace and so were the seraphim's they flew beside were expected to do the same. And certainly flying out like that was not one of grace and speed.

He looked up and saw Sandalphon torturing a poor dolphin as he tried to help it swim to the surface. Cassil swam over to lend a helping hand even though it was not well received. He did it more for the dolphin than the killjoy angel though.
