Aziraphale knew when the archangels called him into their top office it wasn't for a good reason. He was standing before a very displeased Uriel, Gabriel, and his Seraphim Sandalphon and Micheal.

"Aziraphale why are the ashes of the weak angels on that shelf over there?" Gabriel pointed angrily to where he had put and labeled the boxes.

"I figured you would want to remember your friends who died archangel Gabriel sir..." He said quietly.

"Well you thought wrong and now we have to clean it up and explain this mess. I also heard you did not take the day off like I asked you to and instead cleaned up Heaven when it was not your place to do so. On top of all that I also heard you speaking to some unauthorized entity. What do you have to say for yourself?" Gabriel said angrily.

Before he could answer Uriel chimed in with "Let us also not forget he left his post near Gabriel leaving him exposed to the demons coming up from the floorboards."

"I just didn't want archangel Uriel to die and I thought-"

"Firstly Uriel is an archangel who can take care of herself and if she were to have died it would have been part of the Ineffable Plan of God. Secondly, you were given an order. Thirdly you are a Principality and we do not care about what you have to say or think." After Gabriel finished this he out his palms up to his face and sighed loudly. "You know Aziraphale...you are like a ray of sunshine. Always getting in everyone's face and shining your idiocy when no one wants you around."

Aziraphale's heart dropped at this as he was already trying to emulate Gabriel and be like him as he was the model angel everyone looked up to. And to have him say such terrible things about him hurt him more than he could ever admit to anyone.

Micheal held out her hand and in it was a golden ring with angel wings in the sides. "This will help remind you of your status..." she said softly but not concealing her rage.

Aziraphale nodded and said thank you while choking back tears. He placed the ring of shame on his ring finger on his right hand and sheepishly looked down at the ground.

"Aziraphale listen to me very carefully," Gabriel ordered. "We have no choice but to punish you. We have heard rumors that there may be some interference with the humans in Eden from the opposing side. We need you to go down there and guard the walls. However, the Almighty has specifically requested that whatever happens within the garden walls you are not to interfere. Understood?"

"Yes, Archangel Gabriel sir." With that, he took his flaming sword and headed down to Eden just as a certain snake was emerging from the ground and slithering up the forbidden tree.
