Here's the SeaWing I was talking about earlier. Hope you enjoy!
As Queen Cloudburst watched, her egg started to wobble. It wobbled so violently that it floated out of its nest and out the open doorway to the Royal SeaWing hatchery. The Queen followed, not knowing what she should do. She'd never had any dragonets before.
The egg slipped past the hallways of the Deep Palace, and drifted to the main courtyards. It kept drifting, getting higher and higher as it went. Eventually it reached the surface, where light from the three full moons penetrated the clam waters. Once it was there, the egg started to crack. Queen Cloudburst watched as a sky-blue, female dragonet slipped out. She followed the dragonet's gaze to the moons, dazzling her. Before the Queen's eyes, a single scale on her daughter's forehead turned the same, dazzling silver as the moons. Now this definitely wasn't normal. Cloudburst scooped up her dragonet, and carefully carried her around the far side of the Deep Palace, hoping no one would see her.
Finally, on the other side, she swam as fast as she possibly could, heading for an island just west of the Deep Palace, which she was sure no one knew of. She swam past a seaweed curtain that covered the entrance to a cave, her daughter clinging with a surprisingly strong grip to her horns. Behind it there was a cave entrance. Cloudburst knew it would eventually lead to an opening. She swam and Sean until she found it. It wasn't very big, but it was all she had to protect her dragonet at the moment.
At the very top of the cave, there was a tiny hole in the roof that let in a shaft of moonlight. Yes. Her dragonet would be safe here. Under the protection of stone walls and lots of twisting turns. One hundred percent safe.
I only have two more really short chapters after this, and after that, I hope it'll make more sense.
