I know it's a couple days late, but I've been really busy with Homecoming this weekend. Yesterday was the dance, and Friday was the basketball game. So, even though it is a bit late, here is the chapter. ^^
"Yes." He smiled, placing a firm hand on the back of her neck and the other on her cheek.
He pulled her close, and their lips connected gently.
She pulled away a little, blushing. She smiled. All this time.. she hadn't realized she wanted him to be closer to her. And now he was. He loved her. He knows her. She can be free in his love. Katherine couldn't be more happy. Somewhere in her heart.. she knew this love was real.. and it was here to stay.
She smiled up at Jack, seeing him smiling back at her. "Jack.. Does this mean..?" She starts to ask, before he cuts her off.
"Yes.. I love you. I want you to be with me.. forever. Will you accept?" He asks, once again bringing her face close to his. She smiles.
"Yes. I accept." She takes the initiative and kisses him deeply, throwing her arms around his neck. He kisses back happily, her arms snaking around her waist.
The world around them disappeared. Now, they could only see each other.
Bunny went towards where one of Tooth's fairies said Adaline would be. Unfortunately, the little fairy didn't mention Jack would be there too.. or that he was kissing Adaline.
When Bunny saw them, holding each other, he couldn't help but feel betrayed. He couldn't really pinpoint a reason why he felt that way, perhaps it was because she reminded him so much of Katherine. He blinked away the angry tears threatening to fall, and he went up to the two.
"Sorry for interrupting... I need to speak to Adaline.." The two broke apart, looking at each other, then at Bunny. She looked at him skeptically.
"What do you want, Kangaroo?" She asked harshly. He nearly shouted, getting angry again, but he managed to keep his composure.
"I-I came to apologize.. I was out of line.. an' I just.. what I said and did was wrong.. I'm sorry." He said honestly, looking to her for forgiveness. She looked at him, questioning his motives. She hesitantly took a step towards him.
"It's okay. I forgive you." She smiled, reminding him even more of Katherine. He nearly started crying, and she knew why he wore such a sorrowful look on his face. "Bunny.. Don't cry. I know who I remind you of.. and it's rightfully so.. because.. I am..I am her. I'm the one you betrayed. I am Katherine." She said lowly. Jack and Bunny looked at her shocked. Jack was about to grab her shoulder when she shook her head at him. "No, Jack. It's okay. He should know. I am Katherine.. Manny allowed me to lie to you and the others, to allow me my freedom. He and Myndi recognized I hadn't done anything wrong, and I never intended to. I'm innocent. I never asked to be Pitch's daughter, in fact I don't even acknowledge him as my father. I stopped being his daughter the day he let the fear overtake his heart. I didn't tell you who I was back then because I knew you would hate me. But now since you've betrayed me.. I can never forgive you."
Bunny looked down, really ashamed. "I-I know.. I-I never expected you to forgive me." She pats the top of his head.
"But... as of now. I'm Adaline. I'm starting a new life. Though I can't forgive you for what you've done as Katherine.. we can start anew. I've started a new life.. one that doesn't know what you've done." She smiles. Bunny looks up, tears in his eyes. She rolls her eyes a little, smiling. She holds her arms open. He hugs her tightly, crying. "Aw, come on Aster. Cheer up. This is your chance to make a good first impression, and you're crying." She laughs, shaking her head.
Jack smiled, looking on the little scene before him. Well.. everyone needs a new beginning at least once. Bunny and Katherine just got theirs.
I know, I'm so terrible for giving such a short chapter. I'm sorry! I couldn't really think of much today, so this is all for now. See you next chap!
