Hi guys. Sorry for not updating, I've been contemplating on what exactly to do next. I don't really know, so I'm just going to see what my brain comes up with in this chapter. If it doesn't make any sense, I'm sorry. I've been sick a lot lately and recently found out I have Aspergers Syndrome. So.. yeah. I've been a bit out of whack lately and I have a bad headache right now. So like I said, a lot of this chapter probably wont make much sense. Please just bear with me for now.
Katherine was pretty pissed off, but she didn't let it show on her face. She simply wanted Pitch to leave her the hell alone!
Her and Jack had already arrived at Santoff Claussen and she was sitting on the window of the lounge room. She was told to wait in there while the Guardians discussed something. She had a strong feeling that it had a lot to do with the fact that she WAS Katherine.
It probably also had something to do as to why MiM would tell them she was someone that she's not. Well, that had nothing to do with her, it was Manny's choice to lie for her. It's not like they could blame her for that part of it. He was only trying to help an innocent person be free.
Is that so wrong?
She sighed, looking out the window, as night had fallen early as it usually did in the North Pole. She made frost on the windows, making carious shapes. She made Jack's staff, the G for Guardians, an egg, a tooth, Sandman, and a Christmas present. She was the only one who didn't have a symbol because she was simply an elemental. Elementals didn't really have any symbols since they never had any believers, and especially since they were never Guardians.
But according to what Manny said, she was supposed to be one. He had spoken to her in her dream the night before, telling her everything he had planned for her.
She was to beat Pitch, and become a Guardian. She didn't see how she would be a Guardian. She didn't have a center and she didn't really protect anyone. She simply controlled the elements. She didn't understand how she was supposed to be a protector of children since she didn't even protect children. She didn't even have any believers.
But it's not like she could decide for anything. If Manny wanted her to be a Guardian, then she would be. He was pretty much her adoptive father, so she wanted to please him. If that meant being a Guardian and protecting children, then she would.
She just couldn't see how she would do that.
She was just confused at how she was supposed to make this work.
All these thoughts were making her head hurt.
And as if she didn't have enough problems.
The Guardians had finished their discussion and filed into the room in which she was currently in. Their discussion had been lengthy, for it had lasted a couple hours. The verdict had been decided, and she was sure she would be proven guilty.
She had lied to them, escaped from her prison with some outside help, and was Pitch's biological daughter from both of their past lives.
The last was something she couldn't control, she was simply born to the soldier who turned evil. That obviously was out of her hands, but she knew she would be convicted for that as well.
She looked down, waiting patiently for one of them, any of them to say something. She was expecting to her of some punishment that she would take or at least something, but that was the opposite of what she received.
She was shocked to her a few sniffles from Tooth, and she looked up with her eyes wide. Most of them, if not all, were crying. But.. none of them looked sad or angry at her.
They looked happy.
This was very strange to her, and she didn't know what to do; how to react.
North was the first one to speak. "We're sorry.. for locking you up. You were innocent.. and we should have had more faith in you." She couldn't find any words to respond. Literally, she wanted to speak and say something, but she had temporarily lost her voice from the shock of what was occurring. Tooth spoke next.
"We feel terrible for having locked you up... we missed you a lot." She hugs Katherine. Her eyes start to water and she just starts bawling. She hugs Toothiana back tightly, sobbing into her shoulder.
Bunny, North, Sandy, and even Jack were all in tears.
Jack smiled, wiping a tear from his eye.
He was happy to believe it.
She could finally be free.
