Andromeda/Ted

'White'

Andromeda was filled with a mixture of excitement and nerves as she prepared herself for the day ahead, and mainly for her sisters reactions. She had finally caved in and said yes to a Hogsmeade date with the rather dashing Ted Tonks, a seventh year Hufflepuff that she'd noticed for a while. She decided to push the thoughts of Narcissa and Bellatrix to the back of her mind and focus on the date ahead of her as she walked up from the dungeons to the main doors where she was to meet Ted.

They were both bundled up in layers of thick cotton and warm fur, it had snowed all night and into the morning leaving a thick blanket of white snow covering the grounds of Hogwarts and the surrounding village of Hogsmeade. It was cold, and yet romantic.

Flurries of pure white snow had begun to fall as the pair made their way down the frozen path towards Hogsmeade. The pair spoke no words, but their hands clutched together, anchoring one another to that time and place, that moment.

Their eyes kept catching as they passed glances at the other. Just as they made the turn to Hogsmeade, Andromeda felt the floor beneath her give out, slipping on a hidden piece of ice. She could feel the mortification filling her as her body began to give way, when suddenly she's pulled with force against a broad toned chest.

Looking up, with snowflakes coating her eyelashes, her grey eyes meet Ted's warm brown as he holds her against his chest. They're both frozen, not knowing how to react to both her almost fall and his swift reflexes in saving her. Swiftly Andromeda lifts herself onto her tiptoes and places a gentle kiss upon his lips. Both blushing underneath the cold weather, they pull apart only to once again get caught in each other's eyes.

"We should head on down to Hogsmeade, I don't want you to get sick before I can kiss you properly," Ted smiles down at her, his eyes lit up with joy. Joining their hands together again they set back off down the path to Hogsmeade, neither are nervous anymore, there are no more butterflies. They both know that they made the right decision to go on this date, and neither cared about the consequences that could follow anymore.

The only thing that mattered was each other.
