When Crawly awoke he was alone. He realized they had slept for a few days. He still could sense the angel nearby and saw him standing by a river. He walked over to him.
"Hey, Aziraphale were you able to sleep?"
He turned to Crawly and had apparently been creating a sort of crown looking thing out of the weeds.
"Yes, my dear boy! Not as long as you I'm afraid!"
"Well, why didn't you wake me up?"
"You looked so peaceful and I didn't want to take that away from you."
"I see. So what's with the weird crown."
"Oh, this isn't a crown my dear boy. It is a funeral piece. I figured since I couldn't have stopped Azeal from taking the firstborns away or convince the Pharoah to let them go I would at least be there for the families."
"Well, you aren't bringing that monstrosity to the next life ceremony."
"Well, why on Earth not?"
"It looks awful." Crawly shook his head and then got an idea.
"Come with me! We will make something way better and that doesn't look like a hairball Pollution spat up!"
Aziraphale surprisingly agreed and began to follow him through the portal he had formed to the native home of the Hydrangea flowers.
Aziraphale's eyes lite up as he looked closely at the beautiful edges of the flowers making it into a triangular shape.
"What are they?"
"Aw hell angel! They're Hydrangea flowers! Did you not read any of the books given in heaven before the Garden of Eden?"
"Yes, I did! Forgive me for not remembering the name of a stupid flower!"
"Alright well, this will make that horrendous display you were about to bring to a child's funeral to shame. The meaning behind this flower is not as well-known as the others, but many believe it symbolizes true heartfelt emotions. As with the peace lily, the plant version of this flower will always last longer than the cut arrangement."
"Wow Crawly. That's amazing."
"You would have gotten to appreciate it more if you had known it had existed."
"Fair enough."
