Marella was freaking out. Mainly cause Fitzy was next to me. Talk about clingy much. I much preferred a distant Alvar who let me know he was thinking of me by aiming his middle finger at me.

I couldn't wait to get this dumb thing over with. I hated all of them. What would we do? Hour long make overs? Hopefully base quest the whole time.

Then study hall was over. I internally groaned as I lightleaped home. I changed into a pretty red tunic that I used to work out a lot, but it was still cute. Then I put on black leggings with shoes that matched my outfit. Everything I wore I could fight in just in case they found out who I was. I loosely braided my air and headed over to Evenglen.

Fitz was waiting there to open the gate for me. He looked good. A white shirt and black pants. Crap no! He didn't look good.

"Time to meet your friends?" He nodded nervously. I obviously wasn't nervous, they were pushovers. I realized just what to do. I squeezed his hand and whispered,

"Cognate power activated." Then I let go and he seemed embarrassed that he had been nervous. It was -NOT CUTE. Not cute whatsoever.

He grabbed my hand and whispered back, "Cognate power activated." I laughed a bit.

Then he let go and smiled. I wasn't even going to start to say how adorable it was. DAMN IT!

I followed him into the room where all his friends were. But it seemed their Vanisher and hydrokenetic were not present.

"Where are Biana and Linh?" He asked.

"Don't worry Fitz. They're upstairs doing makeovers. Do you or ..."

"Sophie." I filled in.

"Sophie want to join them."

"I'll pass on hanging out with my sister and Linh."

"I think I'll pass on makeovers too. Base quest anyone?" They all grinned, except Tam who just nodded. By the end of it all I had won every game, even the one where it was all of them against me. They were dirty and tired, meanwhile I was still clean, energetic, and badass. Biana and Linh came down all dolled up.

"What the heck happened to you 4?"

"Lady Foster over there forgot to mention that she can pinpoint coordinates in Base Quest and used it to beat all of us multiple times. Even when it was all of us against her." I shrugged.

"Yep!" Fitz slung his arm over me.

"Fitz you're covered in mud, leaves, and I don't know what the heck that is." I pointed to an animal on his leg. I gasped. "Is that an imp? I love those things. No wonder you smell like you bathed in garbage! It's this little guy." I loved imps. I had one at home named Iggy!

"It looks hurt." Dex pointed out. It was. Poor little thing.

"Oh! Edaline taught me how to heal most animals. Where is a gnome I can talk to?" Biana pointed outside, and out I went.

Then I saw a gnome. "Hello? Can I get some help please?"

"What can we do for you?"

"Can I get some bergamot, skullcap, and vervain please?" (A/N - random plants people) They grew some and I thanked them before running off inside.

Then I cleaned off the imp and bandaged its leg. It was only sprained. My knees were muddy, but overall nothing went wrong. I was so excited, Iggy was going to love having a friend.

I saw them whispering inside. They were all clean now inside after Biana dragged her brother and his friends up to change. Keefe has even styled his hair apparently. But all my attention was on my new imp, Kiki.

Then Fitz was looking at me. "Yes?"

"Would you like something to eat? We have custard bursts, mallowmelt-"

"I love mallowmelt." I was so excited. See, this wouldn't be too bad if I had some mallowmelt.

"Sophie can I talk to my friend group, alone?"

"Sure." That's a bitchy move. I went to the kitchen for mallowmelt. There was Alvar. He grinned.

"Phase 2?"

"Only one not cooperating is the Vanisher. Sound familiar?" He shrugged. "But Fitzy has a starting crush."

"Good."

"Where is it?"

"Where's what?"

"The mallowmelt Vacker."

"I don't know what your saying, Lab Rat." I'll beat the crap outta him later. I crossed my arms till he sighed.

He rolled his eyes and got me a slice from the fridge. Then he cracked a smile when I smiled.

"Mmmmm. That tastes so good." He went upstairs.

By the time they all came down I was just playing with the imp on the couch.

"Hey Sophie." Oh boy. Time to pull everything out.'

"Yes Fitz?" I looked at him.

"Would you want to hang out with me tomorrow?" I could tell that that was not what he was supposed to say by the looks on their faces.

"Sure. Is that all you talked about upstairs or is there something else?"

Biana cleared her throat. "Linh and I need to speak with you. Alone." Alone Huh?

"Sure! See you soon guys." Fitz and Keefe both overly waved to me. Then I shot a wink at both of them. They both froze. Then they were grinning as I walked into Biana's room.

No one said anything for 30 seconds. "Do I leave or do you guys wanna tell me what's going on?"

"Oh you know what's going on."

"Can you explain it to me?" Did they now I was in the Neverseen?

"You... you... FLIRT!" Oh that's what it was about.

"Oh that's all? Anything else?"

"Stay away from my brother and my bo- Keefe."

"Oh so this is what it's about. You two are jealous." I giggled a bit. "Well no big deal because I'm not looking to be in a relationship right now. So don't worry about it. Besides, they are probably just trying to make you jealous. Fitz already told e how pretty he thought Linh was. Don't tell him I told you though. He said he's waiting for matchmaking lists." Lies.

Linh was red in the face. "Really?" I nodded. Lies.

"Yeah. He said Keefe was going to try to do the same." Lies. What better way than to manipulate feelings for me. Oh this would be fun. "Now let's go out there before they think you're threatening me."

Biana looked ecstatic. I opened the door and walked out on them laughing and smiling.

Fools. They were fools. Just fools in love with boys who loved a different girl. Oh I would tear them all apart so quickly. Fitz and Keefe seems so excited when I sat down in between them. I winked at Biana and Linh, who were giggling. Dex was my cousin and one of my first friends. But when I joined the Neverseen I started gradually drifting away from him.

Then there was Tam. A complete mystery. I would crack him too. Only weakness was Linh. And Linh was wrapped around my finger. So that wouldn't be too hard. I had control over this group in one day. I was so tired and worn out. Then I rested my head on Fitz and gradually let the darkness take over.
