Azreal and Micheal often had their jobs kept separate. As you maybe well aware by now Micheal is a warrior angel who literally hunts down demons and smites them when it is called for. She also occasionally gets to come down to Earth to face off against some humans. Being as powerful and as skilled as she. When this happens the archangel of victory and the angel of Death get to work together not that this was something that bothered them. Death was there with Azreal but he was ofstandish as always. Always observing but never interacting or reacting.
Micheal had a flaming sword of Heavenly flames. She stood on the mountain where she was to drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. She never realized how awful humanity truly was until she had gotten a look at it with her own eyes. Driving out she terrible people who prided themselves working slaves to Death, starving their people, polluting the environment, torturing and murdering each other and selling each other would not be of any problem to Micheal. In fact, she rather enjoyed the idea of it. Getting to spend time with her beloved wasn't too bad either.
That is if Sandalphon wasn't coming. Sometimes she wished she could drown both Gabriel and his annoying right-hand angel in a bucket of liquified Hellfire. So annoying that he insisted she have someone with her who would keep her grounded.
Azreal placed a gentle hand on Micheal's shoulder and she nuzzled her chin into those soft fingers.
"Do you suppose you will be able to make quick work of these people before the Israelites come?"
"Of course dear. With Sandalphon here it will be easy."
"Augh. Sandalphon. That wheezing bag of dick tips?"
"Yes. Unfortunately, we will not be able to get as much alone time as we originally thought. I assumed because I was only driving out these people you would be more of a side piece and we would get to be together for a longer period of time. It gets so lonely up in Heaven without you by my side constantly."
"On Earth, it is almost unbearable seeing what the humans do to each other and then caring innocent souls to Heaven while daming guilty ones to Hell. But it makes it all better knowing I get to see your lovely face." She reached her fingers to Micheal's cheek and brushed against the soft skin there. She hummed a soft tune she had learned at a funeral where a man was buried alive.
"I fear that evil may be afoot," Micheal mumbled as she turned to look out to watch the sunrise above the horizon.
"You always think that."
"I fight demons often. I know how horrible they can be. Manipulative bastards."
"They aren't here now. Besides Heaven is on our side. Everything will change once the Messiah comes. And then when the calendar runs out on this world and we get to face off against Hell and vanquish them once and for all."
"It is too far away in my opinion."
Azreal wrapped her arms around Micheal's shoulders and placed her chin attop her braided soft locks. "You must be patient my dear. It is a virtue."
"I heard that the people of Isreal were complaining about having to leave that Hell hole of a dessert."
"Really? It doesn't surprise me at all. New opportunities and humans just want to stay stuck in their old ways."
"Exactly."
"I must say I have grown attached to them though. Especially the children. Their life stories are all so fascinating."
Micheal turned to face Azreal's face which gleamed as the sun rose.
"Are you sure the demons can't sense you? I know angels can't."
"My dear you need to stop worrying so much. I have been to Hell many times and the demons haven't so much as batted an eye."
"I just want you to be safe."
"I know. It will be fine. It won't be much of eternal punishment if I was killed by some demons."
Micheal giggled before placing a kiss on the buttercream lips of Azreal. She smelled of Death but to Micheal, she smelled of all good things.
Once Sandalphon arrived they went over the plan of action and soon began to start the process. It became clear extra force was needed and blood was shed on the sand. Azreal was there to lend a kindness to the Death and destruction.
Another horseman came to the party. War followed the trio only seen by Death himself. It wasn't much of a War but she would be damned if she missed this party.
