Edward hasn't yet talked to me. I was getting scared as the time passed. Emmett kept me pestering about future all the time, I mostly avoided his questions but one day I snapped. "What do you want to know more Emmett?". He asked me details of the future and i saw everyone else eyeing me. keeping my rage down i told them details i had left out earlier. " We were all separated at that the time of first wave of attacks. Me and Edward in New York starting college again, Rosalie and Emmett on a world tour, Carlisle and Esme on a short vacation. Alice and Jasper were with Renesmee and Jacob who celebrating their 50th marriage anniversary. We were all in our blissful heavens. Edward had gone hunting alone and was captured unawares. Alice called me begging frantically to reach Edward. She and Jasper were on their way too. Everyone was attacked simultaneously. They stole Renesmee and her children away from La push massacring nearly the whole tribe. All pretenses of vampire world were dropped. Humans were announced of their upcoming doom causing more chaos. Esme's screams reminded me on a banshee, maybe that is how the stories started.
After the final vampire war, surviving vampires battled humans who were stupid enough to believe they could win. If Jasper had been alive the human-vampire war would have ended sooner. Human race was nearing extinction, so I brought them all under same leadership and oversaw that the race survived. Most animals had died during the century long war. Using genetic engineering they were revived. trees were planted across the globe, the dead bodies which riddled the Earth were put in deep graves for faster decomposition. The technology had reverted to older pattern during the war, healthcare was a joke, everyday thousands were dying of hunger. Vampires were ultimately banned on feeding on humans and were given donated blood to ensure re-population. It had taken a century to get population to 4 billion. Crime and greed were non - existent. There were resistance groups still active but I didn't care. I was revered everywhere, people bowed to me till their knees bled. I was not sorry for what I had done to survive and revive the world. I had lived five centuries of life , three of them without Edward. It was so difficult to go on without him. I have waited three centuries to meet him and he won't look at me after I ad bared my soul to him."
"Why won't you look at me Edward. Why are you so silent. Yes; I have been manipulative but what else could have I done. The day you thought I had died you ran off to Italy begging for death, and here, I had to live centuries without you, without our love, our family. Or are you scared that I desire the throne to world again, then you are wrong. I am power hungry and has done many morally wrong things but all this means nothing to having you back in my life. I have called the council so that a better leader would be chosen, someone with compassion and love at their soul. I promise you Edward, I have no hidden motives other than ensuring safety of my loved ones."
We started talking again and slowly our relationship was on path to forgiveness and love. Just as predicted Carlisle was given the power to rule alongside a council which would help him and advice him. The future was safe and bright. I hope hope fluttering in me, maybe I would have a happy ending after all.I had changed the fate and would do anything to make sure no one would bring carnage on this new world. The power coursing through me was monumental and If anyone would arm the peace I had created they would pay with blood and tears.
