"But what if he doesn't like me Aziraphale?" Ruth said as Aziraphale fixed her headscarf around her hair in a cute and stylish fashion.

"He does my dear. Believe me, he does." Aziraphale cooed.

He gave her cheeks a squeeze and her forehead a gentle kiss before she went to say goodbye to her mother in law and then went on her way. She would be meeting Boaz at the threshing floor where she would lie at his feet. A Jewish tradition.

He bides Naomi good night strode out into the night and sighed taking in the different smells. He wanted some bread and smelled it off in the distance. Crawly watched this exchange and had almost smiled.

Aziraphale was playing matchmaker. He didn't want to get too close as he didn't want Aziraphale to know he was in the area. He was a demon after all and a demon wasn't supposed to get too close. But something about the angel made him so damn attractive. Maybe it was that smile. Or his laugh. Or his kindness.

He watched Aziraphale proceed to go and play a little game with the children in the street. Their shouts and screams warmed his heart although he would never say it aloud. Oh, Aziraphale. He though. Never change.

All went according to Aziraphale's plan. Boaz and Ruth were wed and had a happy marriage. Crawly was genuinely happy for them. They both seemed like bright young people who were full of kindness and love for each other. Now if only the rest of the world could get its head on straight like they could.
