"Speaking"

"Telepathy"

-Thoughts-

"What about Kayain?"

"...Not a bad idea. I think I'm comfortable with Kayain. Kayain Vigor."

"...Hey, were your ears always like this?" he asked out of blue. Weren't we just talking about names?

"What do you mean?" I asked back because I had no idea what he was talking about. Then I touched my left ear and understood what he meant. There were black, big water-drop looking... Things.

"I-I don't, think they are ears."

Celer looked at my back, than to me again.

"What about the tail?" he said and that only deepened my confusion. I looked at my back, and what did I see? A tail! How did I not notice that for half a hour? I don't really know. But seeing these and my other-worldly knowledge of this universe pointed me to a single pokemon and situation.

"Riolu hybrid."

Same blue tail, same black aura... Thingies. I didn't need anymore proof that I somehow and for some reason a hybrid. A riolu-human hybrid.

"Why is it always me..."

While we were walking through the forest in silence, a rumbling sound broke the sweet silence.

"I'm hungry," I announced the obvious. "How about you?"

"Nope," he said, but a rumbling from his stomach that followed his statement betrayed him.

"Okay, do you know anywhere we can find food, because I have no id-" I started. But...

"RROOAAAR!"

All I could say was "What the heck was that?!"

And "How should I know?!" was the answer I got. "But I don't want to know, let's get out of here!"

Then I started to run towards to the voice.

"Are you stupid?!" he said and I don't blame him. We just had a... stressful event. Running to another one is a bad idea.

"Whatever is making this sound bound to cause trouble. Someone might need help. That's why you are still alive."

"...Okay, let's go and get ourselves killed."

As soon as he said that, a dark figure appeared in front of us.

It was mostly black and had three heads.

Our eyes widened and only one thought was left on our minds.

"Run?"

"Run."

"ROOOAAARRR!"

So we ran. Actually I was the only one that ran. Celer was hanging on my shoulder and Hydreigon was simply hovering towards us.

Celer looked back for a moment, than shouted my ears off.

"Roll to left!"

As I rolled, two dark pulses missed me.

-So... Temple Run, huh? Why am I so calm with this?-

Then a hyper beam came and I dodged at the last second yet again.

This pursuit had went on for a few minutes, but it felt like hours. Roll, jump, roll and more roll. But we finally got away. On top of that, we somehow stumbled upon Pallet Town.

"Finally, civilization!"

"It's been a while since I was in a town," Celer said from my shoulder. It looks like he is stuck there.

-My main goal is to survive in this world. To do that, I need money. To get that, I need to work. I so not gonna join Team Rocket. I know an easy way to get money too. Be a trainer. And Pallet Town is where the famous Professor Samuel Oak . The guy that gives out starters and makes them trainers. Maybe I can get myself one. But most importantly, he is pretty high official in Pokemon. He can get me to be a trainer. Because in this world I don't exist, right? While I'm on it, maybe I can try to find out if Ash Ketchum exist or not. Because If he doesn't, It means I'm in the games. If he does... The world is gonna end two times in year... Maybe I could help him?-

"I have things to do here," I started, then pointed towards a hill, "Wanna race to the hill there?"

He looked into my eyes intensely for a few moments, than jumped from my shoulder and started running towards to the hill.

"Cheater!" I shouted from behind him as I too ran toward to hill.

"I won!" he said with a smug smile when I caught up to him at the door of the research lab that looks more like of a windmill. Seriously, why is it looking like a windmill?

"Ha, ha. Very funny, cheater."

"You are only grumbling because you lost." he said as he climbed on my shoulder once again.

As he was doing that, I went up and knocked the door.

After a few moments the door opened and a man at his 60's came out. This guy had grey hair and a lab coat. I was impossible to not know who he was.

"Hello, Professor Oak. I came here to register myself as a pokemon trainer." I said as I directly dived into the subject.

He looked at me blank, then shocked for moment, than he got a smile on his face. I have no idea why my desire to be a pokemon trainer shocked him.

"Come in, come in young man. And I presume this little fella is your partner?"

"Yes professor... But there is a problem with me."

"What is it young man. I'm sure it's nothing too serious."

"I'm not registered as a person. At all. I don't have an ID."

And that did the job.

"What do you mean 'at all'?" He asked as he squinted his eyes, looking at me with an unreadable expression.

And that was my clue to lie. I couldn't just say 'Hi, I'm from another universe, I wanna be the very best like no one ever was,' can I?

"I came from a town that isn't even on the map."

"...Okay then. I can register you both as a person and pokemon trainer," he said, "But I need you to do something for me."

"What is it?" I asked. Unlike Ash, I actually think before I speak... Most of the time.

After I said that, he opened a drawer and pulled out a pokedex... So he meant that.

"This is the pokedex. My latest invention. It's basically a pokemon encyclopedia. I'm too old to fill it. So I need young trainers to do it. In exchange for starters. But for you I will register you. So, no starter. So if you agree to do this for me, I will register you to league. Deal?"

"Deal," I said without much thought. That was exactly what I was searching for. I may know about pokemons, I'm no expert. So this would do wonders.

Seems like my agreement surficed a smile on his face. "Wonderful!" he said, then pointed towards some chairs, "Sit down and enjoy yourself young man..." Then he looked pretty awkward all of a sudden.

"...What is your name lad?" he asked awkwardly. I didn't told him my name? How did we had a dialogue without my name being unspoken?

"My name is Kayain. Kayain Vigor."

"Okay Kayain, it shouldn't take too long. In the meantime my assistants can take a look at your pichu to check for any problems, okay?"

After two hours later I finally got a trainer license, six pokeballs, a pokedex and a green backpack.

Right now I'm trying to convince Celer to get in the ball, even just for once.

"No way I'm going into that thing!" he said and I was quickly running out of cards.

"Do you want another trainer put you in one of those thing with force? Because that's what they do. They won't care if you want to stay with me or not. I want you to go into this thing for once, then you can stay away from it as far as you want. No problem for me. Okay?"

After he thought it over, he nodded which surprised me.

I put the ball to floor, he tapped the button and sucked inside. One shook... Two shook... And captured!

As soon as the ding sound heard, he came out of the ball with a disgusted look on his face.

"I'm never, ever gonna go into that... That thing. It was terrifying and I only did this for you."

"Then I will never, ever use it," I promised, as I picked up the red-white ball and put it inside my new backpack.

"Should we g-?" I tried to ask Celer, but a familiar voice cut me off.

"RROOOOAAR!"

Wild NERD appeared!

A/N: Hello folks! I'm back with another chapter! This is last part of the prologue and it's ~1600 words! Two times of the chapters before this! I'm sorry for the delay by the way guys and gals. Anyway you probably know who this roar belongs to, right? By the way, Kayain won't get a lot of pokemon. He probably won't even get a full team in Kanto. I don't want his pokemon to stay at the lab 7/24. That's all I can say for now.
