"Speaking"
"Telepathy"
-Thoughts-
"RROOOOAAR!"
I knew this roar very well. Listening to a hydreigon roaring just a meter away from you for a few minutes does wonders.
"I don't think we can stand a chance."
"No, we do! I need your help friend, just like old times! Go, Dragonite!" Professor shouted and that shocked me. The Professor had a dragonite?! Now we had a chance. But both of them are pseudo-legendary. Even if we won, I don't think the lab can stay up to the sheer power of these pokemons.
"Dragon Claw!" Professor commanded.
Dragonite boosted itself with a Swords Dance before unleashing a Dragon Claw to Hydreigon. getting hit by a pseudo-legendary with a super-effective move that is powered by a Swords Dance is never good for health.
The Hydreigon blasted out of the lab.
"Follow up with a Hyper Beam!"
Just as the Hydreigon was building up three Dark Pulses, it got hit by the Hyper Beam. Ouch.
"Finish it with Dragon Pulse!"
The Hydreigon was hardly conscious, let alone float. When it got hit by the super-effective move, it's three head fell down with a thud.
We may have won, but the lab was in ruins.
"Are you okay Kayain?" the Professor asked.
"I'm okay Professor, but the lab is destroyed."
"I wonder what's a hydreigon doing in Kanto? They were supposed to be in Unova!"
"Professor, that same Hydreigon chased me for a few minutes until I got away," I said, then I realized something is very, very wrong.
I came to town early in the morning, despite what happened. So no one saw me except for the Professor. And I had my aura-sensing-things and my tail out in the open. And Professor was treating it like any other day!
"Errm... Professor?"
"Yes, Kayain?"
"How are so calm with how I look?" I asked with a little bit of fear that he might rip open me to experiment on me.
"I have seen stranger things and your situation is nothing new to me," he answered, "...But can I check you up? I never have examined this weird phenomenon. I will even give you a cap to hide those things! I don't think a riolu-human hybrid would be welcomed easily."
"...Okay... Can I use your PC Professor?"
"Bye Kayain. I want you to call me if anything comes up!" he said as I started walking down the hill.
"I will Professor."
He did offer me to stay the night at his lab but I don't think I will be comfortable in a lab that is in ruins. But he was kind enough to give me a hundred pokedollars.
At least I got some info on this world. Turns out, it's a mix of games, anime and some logical things. Logical to pokemon world at least.
For example, pokemon evolution doesn't happen in mere moments. It can last from a week to six months depending on the species and the amount of mass gained upon evolving.
I looked up and yes, 1 pokedollar is equal to 1 American dollar. And the prices are same as the games. A pokeball is 200 pokedollars.
And Ash Ketchum doesn't exist. But the locations and some events that only happened in the anime does. It's a mix.
For some reason Celer didn't utter a single word for the whole conservation. Turns out, he knew only I can understand him, so he didn't see a point in talking.
Also, the cap that Professor gave me can hide my Aura-Sensors (A/N: I decided to call the black water drop thingies that.) completely. I don't know how, but it does for the same reason as my backpack's inside is 10 times bigger than it's outside. That explains Brock's kitchen in his backpack.
And I decided I will hide my tail in my shirt. To be honest, I didn't think I would actually hide it. But yet again, it did for some reason. I stopped asking questions about pokemon world when I saw a dragon with tiny wings fly at mach 1.
While we were waling trough the town, people looked at us with awed and scared faces. No, they weren't looking at us, they were looking at the Hydreigon that was following us.
After it woke up we learned three things.
First, It went rampage on a because of people in black with red letters on their uniforms did something to it. On top of that they kidnapped it from Unova. Guess who did it.
Second, It was a he.
Third, He decided to follow me around.
So we ignored the townsfolk's curious stares.
"So, why did you want to come with us?" I asked the Hydreigon that is next to us. I told him I could understand him, I was half pokemon and that I can die and come back before we set off. He believed all of that except that dying part. Anyway, he will believe one day. But you should have seen his face when he realized I was a hybrid.
"First, you are an interesting fellow. You escaped from me and didn't get hit from the dozens of Dark Pulses. Second, I don't want to be alone anymore. Do you have any idea how many 'mons want to be friends with a pseudo-legendary? No one. That's one of the reasons pseudo-legendaries let them be caught. Lastly, I see potential in you. Not just as a trainer, no, as a fighter," he explained.
"So, you will battle alongside us?" I asked hopefully. Because it's not everyday you get a pseudo-legendary in the first day of your journey.
"Nope," he said, but before we could frown he continued. "I know you are good, but you are inexperienced. So, I will battle alongside you, but not today."
Actually, I wasn't surprised. Pseudo-legendary pokemons are really rare. And their power rivals that of legendaries. So, using him against Brock is already an overkill.
When we reached a clearing at Route 1, I stopped and let my backpack fall.
"Let's stay here for the night guys." I started, then looked at Celer. "And Celer, we are gonna start your training now."
Celer gave a worried look at me and said, "I'm not sure if I should be worried."
"Don't worry, we will start slow. Now, tell me your move set. What moves do you know," I explained when he tilted his head.
He began to sweat from his nervousness for some reason.
"I know Thundershock..." he began.
"Go on."
"...That's it," he uttered out in a low voice that I almost couldn't heard him. But I did.
"Don't worry, that is my job to teach you. And I know just what to teach you today: Quick Attack!" I tried to encourage him.
He looked at me, then smiled and nodded. "So, how do we do it?"
"First, you need to run. Run as fast and long as you possibly can. But don't hurt yourself while doing it. Then you will use it when it's ready. Come here when you are tired. In the meantime, I will try to use a pokemon attack to see if I can use them or not."
For three hours we trained, trained and trained. Turns out, yes, I can use pokemon attacks. First, I tried to use Force Palm. When that didn't worked out, I tried to learn Quick Attack with Celer. We both managed to use it, even just for a second. We lacked the stamine to keep it up. When the sun went down, we agreed to sleep. But a thunderstorm started and Professor gave me just a sleeping bag. No tent whatsoever. So I returned Hydreigon (He goes by the name Tumbra from now on) back to his pokeball and took Celer into the sleeping bag. At least Professor gave me a water-proof one.
Just when I was about to fall asleep, a screeching voice jolted me awake.
When I looked towards to the source of the voice, I saw a flock of spearows.
"GET THEM!" shouted the biggest one that is also probably the leader of the flock.
"Damn it."
Wild NERD appeared!
A/N: Hello there guys and gals! I'm back! And I was pretty fast in my opinion. This one is 1.6k words. I'm trying to do some cliffhanger if you noticed. I couldn't leave this flock alone, right? Anyway, yes. He won't use Hydreigon for a long while. Don't except him to use it in Kanto at least. Have a nice day and please tell me your opinions. I find the names of the pokemon from Latin btw.
