It had been a long time collected and collaborating to pull those psalms and proverbs together but it was finally finished. When Aziraphale handed it in he did it with a smile on his face. Some of his proudest work.

Gabriel took it and began to flip through it reading some parts aloud while skimming the rest as Sandalphon peeked over his shoulder. Uriel was glaring at Azriaphale so hard it was almost as though she was attempting to shoot laser beams out of her eyeballs and light his forehead on fire. Micheal looked preoccupied with other matters as she was looking down at one of those transparent screened devices and types and moving her soft fingers across it completely oblivious to the scene going on beside her. As long as demons were being decapitated on Jupiter she didn't care what happened on Earth. Not that she ever did of course.

Gabriel slammed the packet to the ground with a loud "Goddamn it Aziraphale you had one job!" This was not good. Gabriel never lost his temper and almost never raised his voice. Micheal immediately looked up to see what the commotion was and Uriel looked over as well softening her facial features. Sandalphon took a few steps back. He lifted his arms dramatically and proclaimed "Fucking kidding me Aziraphale. There was a list. There was a plan. You should know this by now sunshine."

Aziraphale flinched. He called him sunshine. Never a good sign. Gabriel moved slowly up to him and he felt himself getting smaller and smaller. He had worked really hard on the papers in Gabriel's hand and he felt like he had just set the entire world to Hell. Perhaps he had. One small mistake and it could very well happen. He saw the hand before he felt the sting on his face and Gabriel grabbed his robes and Aziraphale felt his whole body began to tremble. He had no idea what was about to happen next. He had never seen Gabriel this angry before. But whatever happened he completely deserved it. Stupid Aziraphale. He couldn't get anything right. He wanted to smack himself on the forehead but felt that it would be inappropriate now.

Time seemed to slow down as Gabriel shook him multiple times and his head felt like it was about to fall off. He could hear him barking at him but couldn't process it fully. It just felt so unreal. When he was thrown onto the white hard cold tiles of Heaven he landed with a grunt and loud thump. His entire side had a dulling pain in it. He was ordered to get out and make sure the song of songs was written. He headed down to Earth right away. Of course, he didn't go straight to his living quarters as Crawly could be there and he didn't want to have any more rebukes from anyone else. Especially not a demon above all else. Instead, he went to the palace and began work on the Song of Songs by inspiring Solomon to do so. The set of poems were interesting and left Aziraphale feeling flustered and blushing. The poems were about love, romance, and sex. A lot of sex. With all synmons of course. You couldn't have phallic symbols discussed in what would be one of the holiest books around and Aziraphale felt he would about discorporate if he had to put that in there.
