"Hey, Shouto?" Midoriya whispered while tracing circles on his husband's stomach. They were both tired from their hero work for the day, but Midoriya could not, for the life of him, fall asleep.
"Mmmm yes Izuku?" Todoroki mumbled still half-asleep.
"I can't sleep," said Midoriya which elicited a soft grunt from Todoroki who was still working on waking himself up.
"Okay, Okay I'm awake. What's bothering you?" Todoroki continued to mumble as he sat up and rubbed his eyes awake.
"We've been married for two years," Midoriya contemplated. "I just can't believe we're married." Todoroki softened as he pulled the green-haired boy into a hug.
"And they've been the best two years of my life." the bicolored boy said as he placed a kiss on his husband's head.
"I just can't believe it, we're married. The boy that I've had a crush on ever since our first-year sports festival is my husband." Todoroki could feel that something was bothering Midoriya.
"Are you disappointed? I mean did you think it would be better?" Todoroki sighed as he broke away from Midoriya. "I'm sorry, I know I can be a real crappy hu-"
"No! No, it's not that. I love you Shouto, it's just that I never thought this would be my life. Happily married and with you. It's been a dream. I always thought my goal was just to become a great hero."
"Which you are, I mean the amount of Deku merch stores that exist just prove that. Everyone here is always dressed in green, I hate it." teased Todoroki which caused Izuku to throw a pillow at him.
"What I mean is that I never thought there would be more to my dream. Then suddenly I became one of the top heroes and then I thought my dream was complete. Then after years of dancing around each other, we started dating, and I thought wow how could it get better than this. Then we got married and I thought I could literally burst due to all the happiness I felt in that given moment. Now…"
"You feel like you don't deserve it?" asked Shouto.
"A little." nodded Midoriya. "I mean more than not deserving it, I feel guilty for wanting more."
"More?" Todoroki looked at his husband expectantly.
"Look All Might was a great hero, but he gave his life to hero work. Before he died, he told me that if he could do it again, he would have settled down. He told me I was like a son to him, and mentoring me allowed him to feel like a parent. At least, for a little while..."
"Are you saying you want to have…" Todoroki paused before the word. He wanted Midoriya to say it.
"Yes Shouto, I want to have kids and raise them with you." Midoriya waited for a response, but when nothing came he began to panic. "I mean only if you want to. I don't mean to push this all on to you or anything. I know it is a big thing to ask f-"
"Kana…" Todoroki tested on his tongue.
"What?" Izuku eyed him confused.
"Midoriya Kana," he said one more time. "I think that would be a great name for our daughter. To be honest, I've thought about it too, the whole having kids thing. It's just I'm a little scared, I didn't exactly have father of the year as a role model." Izuku snorted at that last part.
"Don't worry I didn't either. My dad was away most of my life and it's only when I started training under All Might did I feel like I had any sort of fatherly guidance. Still, I think we'll be okay. I believe in you and I believe in us." Shouto pounced on Izuku in response to that, pinning his arms to the bed and kissing him slowly.
"I love you and I believe in us too." smiled Todoroki.
"Well, then I guess it's time to start looking at adoption agencies then. I mean it's not like we can do it the natural way." Izuku joked as he looked up at his boyfriend.
"I mean yeah we probably need to, but hey how about we test it out once just to make sure," Shouto said he kissed Izuku's neck causing the green-haired boy to let out a soft moan.
"Ahh- I think you just can't -Ahh- keep your hands off me-" Midoriya struggled to get out causing Shouto to smile evilly as he slipped his hand under Izuku's waistband.
Finally, after an hour of 'trying' with his husband, Midoriya found tired enough to fall asleep. "You know after she gets here, you're going to have to be a lot quieter." chuckled Todoroki.
"You really want a girl huh? Also Midoriya? You sure you want to give her my name." Izuku looked over at Shouto who only smiled in response.
"Let's end the name Todoroki with me. Honestly, if my hero agency allowed me to I'd have changed my name to Midoriya too."
"Midoriya Shouto does sound good to me." hummed Izuku as he fell fast asleep.
"Anything with you sounds good to me." Shouto kissed his husband on the cheek once more before he too fell asleep, hoping his dreams were even just a fraction as good as his reality.
