THE BRIDGE:

Chapter.1: The Reploid and the Nurse.

Jessie held her head after falling after slipping down the path as she was returning home from her shift at the hospital.

"Ouch...That's gonna leave a mark." She hissed. Jessie pushed herself back into her feet and continued walking down the narrow path, as she continues, a shimmer of white armor catches her eye.

"Hmm? What's that?" the young nurse thought, Jessie carefully approaching the figure, and to her surprise, it was an injured Reploid man.

"Oh, my gosh!" Jessie shouted, kneeling next to the Reploid. "Are you alright? Can you hear me? Hey!"

The man 'Colonel' laid on his stomach face-first into a pile of dirt, even though he remained unresponsive, but when he heard Jessie's soft voice, he opened his eyes, his eyes soft and green. His eyes filled with pain when he looks at Jessie pleadingly.

"Help…me…please." he begged, reaching out towards the nurse, but soon losing consciousness.

"Please, please be breathing." Jessie prayed, placing her hands onto the Reploid's shoulder, and to her relief he was.

"I don't know you can hear me, but...I'm going to help you. I'm a nurse at the hospital, so everything is gonna be okay." With all her might Jessie flipped Colonel onto his back, and begins to check his vitals. The young nurse soon glances at Colonel's leg, noting it is badly injured. A large gash from his knee to his ankle, that looked like was sliced a degree angle.

"Poor guy, that looks like it hurts" she thought. After cleaning the wound with what she had in her bag, Jessie removed her scarf from around her neck and wrapped it around the injury.

"There we go," she smiled. "Now time to call an ambulance, and get you to the hospital."

Even though Colonel remained unresponsive, continuing to remain in the world of darkness, he could faintly hear Jessie's voice, he wondered how long he remained in the forest, why he was there, and how he got there in the first place.

Hours later at the hospital:

Colonel wakes up in the hospital. His head pounding as he pushed himself upwards, closing his eyes briefly trying to remember the night before.

"You're awake! But try not to move around too much, you're still injured and you have a high fever"

Colonel glances over his shoulder to see Jessie standing next to his side. He's surprised, for she is a human, and showing no fear towards him.

"My name is Jessie, Jessie Hart. Now, is it okay if I ask you a few questions?" Jessie asked. Though, that Colonel had a million questions for himself, being a gentle man by letting Jessie ask her questions first.

"Yes," he nodded.

Wanting to take it slow, and not strain Colonel, Jessie decided to only stick to simple questions.

Do you remember your name?" Jessie asked gently as she picked up a clipboard "Take your time you need too."

"My name…My name is Colonel, Colonel Thorn." Colonel responded.

"It's nice to meet you, Colonel." Jessie greeted, smiling. "Do you have any friends or family I could contact? I'm sorry about all the questions, it's nurse policy."

"It's alright," Colonel said, to be honest this wasn't the first time he woke up in the hospital. "No need to apologize. I have a younger sister, Iris, and there's the General." Colonel leaned his head back, resting a bit, cringing at the thought of his beloved sister worrying about him, made him paranoid. Jessie nodded her head as she wrote down the names Colonel gave her.

"Okay, got it." Jessie noted. "How did you end up in the forest like you did? Do you remember?" Jessie walks over to Colonel's side. "I might be able to help you remember. When I found you, there was this strange blue like electricity."

"Blue energy," Colonel thought, his brain felt like his was buzzing as it tried to remember.

"I still don't remember much," Colonel admitted. "I can't remember how I even got there; I don't even remember what I did today."

Colonel bit his lower lip, his memory loss was alarming, but he tried to remain calm in-front of the nurse. "Take your time," Jessie reassured. "It's okay. You just need some time to recover."

Jessie pulled the communicator from the bedside; she soon remembers what she saw.

"When the paramedics were taking you to the hospital, I saw this blue electric wave. It looked like it was alive. I don't think it was lightning, it could have been Static or Elelcman." Jessie explained but soon pointed to the device. "You can use this to contact your sister, Iris."

"Thank you," Colonel said, taking the device into his hands. "I…I believe, the electricity is the reason why my memory is scrambled."

Colonel did have the ability to use electricity with his saber by storing it, he didn't have immunity though.

"Maybe, electricity is unpredictable. I'll give you some privacy to talk to your sister," Jessie said, turning to leave. "My shift is over, so my co-worker, Mia, will take over for the rest of tonight and tomorrow. I'll be back Saturday. It was nice meeting you, Colonel. I hope you'll feel better soon."

Colonel nods his head, grateful, earning a smile from Jessie before she left the room. As Jessie prepared to return home, Mia stopped her.

"He's kinda cute, isn't he?" she teases, making Jessie turn bright red. Even though Jessie wouldn't admit it, she did think Colonel was attractive.

"Mia! He's our patient."

"A handsome one."

Jessie rolls her eyes as she hands Mia the clipboard, her brown eyes turning purple briefly.

"Change the bandage around his leg first thing tomorrow," Jessie ordered. "Check his fever too, in a little while, make sure it doesn't go even higher. But give him time to speak to his sister."

"Yes ma'am," Mia nodded, watching Jessie leave. "Man... I hate it when her eyes turn purple."

With Colonel:

Colonel continued to speak with his sister with the communicator, reassuring her that he was going to be alright and that he would be home in a few days.

"Do you know any information about my mission?" Colonel asked, but Iris shook her head.

"No. Unfortunately I don't." Iris admitted. "I wasn't your navigator today."

"If you can. Can you find any information in the data base? Any clues about my mission could be helpful." Colonel explained.

"Sure," Iris smiled softly. "I'll report back to you as soon as I find any information."

"I hope you feel better soon, brother." Iris added. "I'll come and visit you in person whenever I can."

"Thank you, I will see you soon, sister." Colonel nodded, saying his goodbyes with Iris and then disconnected, a soft smile forming on his face.
