A/N: I might be stating the obvious here. But there is a timeskip in this story. Hopefully I did a good enough job with tat parth.
Chapter 2
Queen Mikoto did her best to remain calm upon hearing the horrible news that had been presented to her. However, she had to be sure she heard right as she asked the ninja that was kneeling in front of her, "Could you please retell me what you saw last night in the Kingdom of Nohr?"
"Right away milady. As you know King Sumeragi was waiting in the meeting place to go over the peace talk with King Garon while Princess Corrin stood off in the distance. In the end though, it appears that it was nothing more then a trap King Garon had set up to try and murder Princess Corrin. However, the King sacrificed himself when he had gotten in front of the arrows path when they were aimed at the princess." The ninja stated, as he did his best to not become upset as well. And while he calmed himself he went on, "And once King Garon had finished the King off he attempted to kidnap Princess Corrin. Thankfully though she was just barely able to get away from him once an odd gateway like portal had opened up after the King had been killed." The ninja lowered his head lower when he added, "Although I am sorry to report that she did get hit by three arrows as she made her way to the portal. And as of yet none of the other spies have found Lady Corrin or have located where her whereabouts might be. I'm afraid we fear the worst may have happened to her."
"Thank you for restating the events for me. You may return to your post. However, we must not give up hope and assume Corrin has died. So if you find out any information about where she is, please let me know at once." The Queen requested, as a frown formed on her face.
"Yes, of course milady." The ninja responded, before he got up and walked away.
And once the spy had left the second Queen of Hoshido let out a heavy sigh while she thought out loud, "Corrin, my poor daughter. Where did you go when you went through that portal? I just hope you are safe wherever you are. And that one day you will return to your home here in Hoshido."
Many years had passed since Corrin had been found and then taken in by the lion Transient named Snow. And within those years of growing up in Tokyo she had not only attended school, but had been taught by the beastman himself when it came to proper etiquette and how to act like a proper lady. Thankfully whenever she made a mistake the anthro lion would just correct her with nothing but kindness and patience. But while she thought back on those memories the young woman was currently looking in a mirror to make sure the pink sundress she had on fit before she pushed her hair back that was on her shoulders. And once she did this she looked over at the anthro butler and asked, "So, what do you think? I know this isn't anything special. But since it's summer I figured I would wear one of my lighter dresses."
"You look lovely as always, Lady Corrin." Snow replied with a smile on his face.
Hearing this prompted the young woman to let out a light giggle as she said, "Thank you, Snow. But why did you change the way you would normally address me? Because if I'm being honest I was expecting you to call me, Little Lady Corrin, or even Little Princess."
"Well, I suppose I could still address you in those ways, Princess Corrin. However you are at the age of a young lady. So it stands to reason I call you by the proper title." Snow explained, as she saw him look over at a nearby clock. After he did this Corrin saw him look back over at her before he did a quick bow and added, "Well Lady Corrin, it seems I must get back to the young master now. But if you need anything please do not hesitate to call me."
"Of course, but you don't have to worry about me. I'll be just fine." Corrin reassured the butler, before she walked up to him. She then wrapped her arms around him in a hug and stood on her toes and leaned upward. Upon doing this she gave the beastman a quick peck on the cheek and added, "Have a good day. And I hope it won't be too hectic."
The young woman felt the anthro lion gently wrap his arms around her as well while he confessed, "After all of these years I still can't believe you've given me that same farewell whenever I've had to leave you. However, it just fills my heart with joy since you have been the closest thing to a child to me. And please know that I am very proud of you, Lady Corrin."
"Awe, thank you Snow. I hope that I can continue to make you proud since you've been the closest thing to a father to me since I still haven't been able to return home after I had arrived here." The red eyed young woman replied, while the two let go of each other.
Once they did though Corrin saw the white furred lion began to walk away from her, But while he did this he told her, "I assure you, Lady Corrin. I will always be proud of you. And I am certain one day you will be able to return to your Kingdom of Hoshido."
The young woman just nodded with confidence as she watched Snow walk up to the front door and then walk outside before closing it behind him. Once Corrin saw this she waited a few minutes before she grabbed a nearby handbag followed by her keys as she also left the house. And once she walked out of the house and locked the front door she pushed some her hair behind both of her ears while she thought out loud, "Alright, it's time to go into the city and do some shopping. I just wonder what interesting people I might meet today?"
