Chapter 3

"Hey Granger, look!"

Hermione looked over her shoulder to Malloy, who was holding up a razor scooter in his hand. Her jaw could've dropped.

"Malfoy, where in Merlin's knickers did you find that?"

Malfoy had finally made it safely over the Weasley children and scooted through the narrowly placed dinner tables, before taking a seat by the incapacitated Hermione Granger.

"Me Weasley found it in his "garage" and wanted me to give this to you. He couldn't make it all the way back here what with all the familial hounding."

She found Arthur's face from across the room, where the old man shot her a grin and a well-intended, though slightly comedic, wink. She returned it with a mouthed thank you and a smile.

She turned to Malfoy, "What? I'm fine!"

Malfoy gave her a look. "You've been sat back here for too long Granger. It's two of your best friends' wedding, you should be enjoying yourself."

"And you think me zipping around on a children's scooter in a dress and cast would help me enjoy a wedding?"

"Well, not exactly, but it would definitely save the other bridesmaids from having to report to your command centre and actually enjoy the wedding"

She looked at him dryly, "Ha. Ha."

Hermione looked over the scooter thoughtfully, "I would be able to move around and socialize, maybe get my own drink?"

"Carefully now," chided Malfoy, "remember that's what got you into this situation in the first place." He grinned.

Hermione poked his shoulder, "well, give it here Malfoy, let's see how useful this thing is."

He helped her stand up, and placed the red and silver mode of transportation before her. "Your chariot m'lady."

She looked at him curiously, "you've gotten cheesier Malfoy," he looked at her strangely, "it's a nice change."

He didn't say anything, but helped her onto the contraption. "There you go, off to adventure with you." Hermione looked back at him and smiled.

"Thanks Malfoy"

"Sure."
