Chapter 5
Corrin let out a heavy sigh as she followed behind Snow as they walked down the sidewalk not sure where the lion beastman was taking her. The young woman was quite relieved that she never had to tell him about what had happened a few days ago. For if she had she was for certain he would have been quite upset about three stray Transients pulling her into an alleyway and asking her about the guild he was apart of. Not only but she knew that he would have gotten more upset if he had seen the mark on her face from the one who had hit her. But thanks to Gyoubu she didn't need to worry about that, which for all she knew would have made matter worse.
But as they continued to make their way down the sidewalk the young woman couldn't help but walk up next to him before she asked, "So Snow, where exactly are we going?
"Do not worry Lady Corrin, we will be arriving to our destination shortly." Snow reassured the young woman before the two came to complete stop.
And when Corrin looked at the store in front of her she noticed that it had a very plain look to it on the outside. Although that was as long as she was able to look at the outside of the store as Snow opened the door and ushered her in. Once she had entered the said store her red eyes grew in wonder at seeing all of the different weapons that were spread out around the entire store. And when she looked over at the front counter and saw a red haired woman standing there with an olden style attire along with a big smile on her face as she greeted them with, "Welcome, welcome." Once she had opened her eyes and though Corrin thought for sure she saw the red haired woman's smile grow a little more while she continued with, "Oh Snow, it's so good to see you again. Did you come here to order more weapons for the Ikebukuro Berserkers today?"
"I assure you Miss Anna that our weapon inventory is doing just fine for now." The lion beastman replied, before she saw him look over at her from over his shoulder. Seeing this prompted the young woman to walk over to the counter as he added, "I am actually here because I was hoping you might have a weapon that might help Lady Corrin be prepared to defend herself if need be."
"Oh, I see. So this is the young lady who you've told me about every now and then." Anna commented, before Corrin saw her look at her. Once she did this she gave her a big smile and added, "It's very nice to finally meet you, Corrin."
"Um it's nice to meet you too, Anna." The sliver haired young woman replied, as she gave a quick curtsy. After she did this she went on with, "But I have to admit I am a bit curious as to what Snow has said about me."
"You have nothing to fear, Lady Corrin. For I have only told Miss Anna good things about you." Snow reassured her, while he gave her a warm smile. She then felt him gently urge her to some of the weapons on the left side of store as he added, "Now why don't you have a look at the many weapons Miss Anna has. For I am certain there will be one that is right for you."
"Alright, alright." Corrin let out, while she made her way over to the left side of the room.
But once she had done this Snow made sure she was far enough away before he looked over at Anna and asked, "Miss Anna, may I ask you a question?"
"Wow, a question from one of my best customers? Pray tell whatever could it be? Anna wondered, curiosity clear in her voice.
The young woman watched as the lion's beastman's green eyes drifted over to Corrin before he told her, "Well, this question actually has to deal with Lady Corrin. Now please take a good look at her. Does she at all look familiar to you?"
"Hmm?" The shop owner replied, as she did what was asked of her. Within a few moments thought she gave him a sadden expression while she added, "No, I'm afraid she doesn't look familiar to me at all. And to be honest I'm in charge of secrets shops along with my sisters where I'm from. So I would have remembered if she had found one of them."
"Oh, I see. That is a bit disappointing to hear." The beastman let out, after he had let out a light sigh.
"Please don't worry Snow. I'm sure she'll remember what happened to her sooner or later." Anna reassured the butler before she saw Corrin walk up to the front counter. Once she had done this the red haired woman gave her a big smile and contiued with, "So did you find a weapon to your liking, Corrin?"
In response to this question Corrin gently set a sword with a hand guard onto the counter when she said, "Yes, I think this one will do nicely."
"Oh, a rapier huh? Good choice. And it's your lucky day since that weapon is on sale today." Anna stated, as she rang up the price for the weapon.
"Wow, I guess today was my lucky day." The sliver haired young woman commented, as Snow paid for the weapon the two began to walk out of the store.
While they did this Anna waved at them and said, Please come again."
Once they had started to walk down the sidewalk again though Corrin's attention was pulled away from the sword in her right hand when Snow told her, "Well, since you now have a weapon I suppose it would be best to start training you right away tomorrow on how to properly use it."
"Start training huh? Alright I'm looking forward to it." The young woman replied, as the evening sky began to fall onto to Tokyo.
However, after turning a corner the sight of the tanuki Transient had caught the princess's attention as she waved at him as he walked towards them. She then smiled when she saw him smile back and wave back at her. Although from the corner of her eyes the young woman saw a slightly confused look on the lion's face as the other beasmtna walked up to the two and said, "Good evening Corrin, it is nice to see you again."
"It's very nice to see you too, Gyobu. I hope those apples I gave you were good." Corrin replied, to which she saw Snow raise an eyebrow in suspicion.
However, upon hearing a light chuckle from Gyobu caused the young woman to look back over at him again when he reassured her, "I can assure you that they were quite delicious." She then saw him look at Snow before he continued, "And I see that you are in the care of the advisor to the Ikebukuro Berserkers?"
"Yes, she is. But how may I ask does this concern you, Gyobu, advisor to the Outlaws?" Snow asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"I assure you that I have nothing to gain by knowing this knowledge. Nor do I have any intentions of asking her to join my guild. So let's just say Corrin and I are friends." Gyobu replied, before he started to walk away. He then waved at Corrin once more and went on with, "I hope to see you again, Corrin."
"Goodbye, Gyobu." The sliver haired princess called out, before she heard Snow clear his throat. Upon ding this she turned to face him as she added, "Um is something wrong, Snow?"
"No, nothing is wrong per say. I am glad to see you are making friends. But please try to be more careful of whom you decide to befriend. Because not everyone will be as kind as what the advisor to the Outlaws appears to be." The white furred lion suggested, while the two began to walk down the sidewalk again.
"Alright Snow, I promise to be careful." Corrin reassured the butler, which she saw caused him to smile at her.
A/N: I hope you guys have enjoyed this story so far. And since this story is already done I plan on uploading five chapters or more pre day depending on how my eyes are. Also I bet no one expected Anna to make an appearance huh? But I felt it made sense in a way.
