Tokoyami started his day rough. He woke up with only 25 minutes until school started rather than the usual 50. Since it took roughly 10 minutes to walk to school, that meant he only had 15 minutes to get ready.

He began contemplating if it was worth getting up and going to school. Part of him said he needs to focus and not fall behind, but at the same time he wanted to sleep. He pondered if he would even be able to go to school with the amount of time he had or if he was too tired. After a minute or so of him weighing his options, he decided that even though he was tired enough to go back to sleep, he had to go to school

What a tragedy. As much as I would like to continue immersing myself in misery, I must will myself to go to school.

Do you really have to though? We could jus-

He shook his head a bit, then forced himself up and walked to his bathroom. When he looked in the mirror he sighed dramatically. His hair looked like a bird had been nesting in it. He had very clear under eye bags, and his face looked gaunt. His eyes seemed darker than usual as well.

You look like you were up all night, which you were. Good luck!

Please be quiet.

You're no fun!

Please stop.

Why? I'm a part of you!

Stop.

Dark shadow decided to remain silent. Tokoyami waited for a minute, to make sure he wouldn't say anything else, then turned on the sink and splashed water onto his face.

Dark shadow often made Tokoyami feel insane, but overall he was glad to have him. Sometimes. Even though he could be (very) annoying. Almost all the time.

After a moment, Tokoyami sighed dramatically again and began running his fingers through his hair. His hair was naturally very spiky, making it difficult to manage.

No point in trying to smooth it down. The only good thing about my hair is that it's black.

Once he was almost satisfied with his appearance, he proceeded to go through his regular morning routine as quickly as possible, then grabbed his pre-packed bag and went to the living room area.

Tokoyami considered only having coffee and no breakfast. In the end he decided to eat as well as have coffee because he wants to remain healthy, and skipping meals may interfere.

Tokoyami didn't have enough time to eat anything fancy, so he decided to bring an apple so he could eat while walking to school. He went to the kitchen and began to get his coffee ready. He doesn't love coffee, but he understood that it was crucial for him to not fall victim to the drowsiness shrouding his mind.

When his coffee was ready, he grabbed his apple and headed out the door. He walked over to where him and his acquaintances usually met up. He saw Koda and Shoji already waiting for him. He picked up his pace a bit, but didn't begin running. They still had enough time to get there on time.

"Oh he- um... how are you?" Koda said, nervous as always. He's not the best at communication sometimes. He is getting better though.

"Hello." said Shoji. "Lets get going. You arrived a bit late."

"I apologize."

There was a bit of an awkward pause as they began walking.

"So... um, I saw the news this morning. Did you guys? I mean I guess it was... it was interesting."

"What happened?" Shoji was always straight to the point.

"Well, um, Crow was on the news again."

Tokoyami tried not to tense up. He knew where this was going.

Where is this going?

Remember ereyesterday?

Did you really need to use that word? Sounds pretty weird to m-.

Dark shadow's commentary was cut short by Koda saying "This time Crow was reported to have stopped an attempted bank robbery, but had a high casualty rate... the news reporters kept saying that once he was caught all the casualties that were caused by him will be held against him in court."

They're planning on holding that against me in court? What madness.

Now that's just unfair!

I am aware. Now hush.

"Tokoyami, what do you think?"

Koda's voice broke the spell that often took over Tokoyami's mind.

After a pause, Tokoyami said "I suppose I don't really know. I'm not quite sure what I think about vigilantes"

Lies!

Hush.

"I think that what they are doing is noble" said Shoji.

"Well I think that what they are doing is really... amazing. They're helping people, even though it puts them in danger. I wish I could do something like that sometimes..."

After a beat of silence, Tokoyami asked "If you had a quirk, would you be a vigilante?"

For a minute or so, none of them spoke, contemplating the question at hand.

Of course, Tokoyami already knew his answer, but he was curious to hear what the others thought.

"I would. I mean... I think anyways. I'm not sure."

"It depends on the circumstance I suppose. I think I would though"

Tokoyami nodded thoughtfully.

"What about you Tokoyami? Would you do it?"

Tokoyami pondered how he should respond.

Yes! Of course! This should be obvious!

I don't want to seem suspicious.

Saying yes won't be suspicious!

Hush.

"I do not believe I would. I could never deceive the people whom I care about like that, nor put them in such danger."

Another minute of silence. They were almost at the school now.

I can't believe you lied like that! How deceitful!

I did what was necessary.

But still!

Please be quiet.

"I didn't think a lot about them having to keep their identities secret," started Shoji, "It must be very difficult."

They're not wrong!

How many times must I ask you to give me some peace?

Now that's just plain hurtful.

Cease your commentary.

Fine.

"Tokoyami? Are you- is everything ok?" Tokoyami turned his head to the sudden noise.

"Yes, I am fine. Why do you ask?"

"You were staring off into the distance. You almost looked possessed." Shoji was straight to the point, as always.

You're not possessed! It's just me and you in here!

Stop.

"I was just thinking."

"Well um... about what?"

"The identities of the vigilantes. I was thinking about what would happen if one of them got found out."

Good save!

Shoji looked at him for a few (rather intense) seconds, then looked away and said "If one, or more, of them had their identities revealed the results would be bad. I'm not sure if I want to know what would happen if one of them was found out."

Well that's reassuring!

Stop.

Come on! You should listen to him!

Listen to what? I won't be found out, so I don't have to worry about it.

I mean yeah, but what if?

Why do you never cease talking? Be quiet.

When Tokoyami looked up after a minute of being lost in his (and Dark Shadow's) thoughts, he saw that they had arrived at school. He had to stop doing that so often.

The three of them exchanged their farewells, and he began walking to his class.

Upon arriving, he saw most of the class there already. He sat down at his usual seat by the window.

There was Bakugou, the constantly angry and disrespectful kid who somehow had 'friends'(that he didn't seem to consider friends) and good grades. There was Kirishima, and all of the members of the so called 'Bakusquad or Bakugang".

Todoroki was also there. Sitting completely emotionless, like always.

He's so creepy!

I didn't ask for your opinion.

You were totally thinking it!

Hush.

There were a lot of other people as well, but many of them had little to no impact on Tokoyami. Of course, he knew their names and such, he just didn't truly 'know' most of them.

After roughly five minutes of simply observing the rest of the class the bell rang. Tokoyami shifted in his seat as he watched the rest of the class stop talking and getting into their seats.

Time for another day of mindless torture.

And you say I'm dramatic!

Stop pestering me.

Ugh, fine. For now.

The teacher began handing out worksheets to the class. Just something to take up their time.

He finished quickly, and decided to use the rest of his time to resume observing the class.

Every member of the 'bakusquad' looked like they were trying really hard to concentrate

Midoriya was looking around the class, watching everyone. Tokoyami noticed that he kept looking back at Todoroki, who looked very bored.

Bakugou seemed uncomfortable, fidgeting in his seat and twirling his pencil around.

It was then that Tokoyami noticed it.

There was blood on the sleeve of Bakugou's shirt. Tokoyami stared for longer than what can be considered normal. Which, of course, got Midoriya's attention.

They made eye contact, and Tokoyami felt as though he couldn't look away. Midoriya looked at Bakugou, then back at him. He saw the blood too.

Midoriya started mouthing something at him, but he averted his gaze. He looked around the class again, pointedly avoiding Midoriya and Bakugou.

Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, the teacher began collecting the worksheets. Tokoyami looked at the clock. 20 minutes left.

The teacher began speaking about the next test coming up. Tokoyami felt himself zoning out, he felt unable to concentrate on her (boring) lesson. He looked back at Bakugou.

The blood stain had gotten bigger.
