Mommy, mommy, mommy" A girl says as she squeals looking out the living room window "They're here!" the little girl continues as Fiona comes walking to the front door looking through the door to see a taxi
"Maddie calm down, I just got Claire down for a nap" Fiona says as she reaches to open the door "Go find your brother and cousin"
"Okay momma" Maddie says as she runs into the other room "Marcus, Charlie their here" she squeals out again as Fiona hears a baby cry from upstairs as she opens the door
"Wow" Sam says as him and Jesse stand on the front porch "We use to go on missions less hectic than what this looks like"
"Your telling me" Fiona says looking around "between having a 9 year old, 6 year old twins and a newborn" she says as Claire keeps crying into the baby monitor "Speaking of which, I need to get that" she says as she begins to go upstairs as Sam and Jesse step into the house
"Hey Fi" Sam says as Fiona flips around from the stairs "May I, I haven't got to meet my newest goddaughter yet"
"Sure" Fiona says as she smiles at him as Sam heads up the stairs "It's the second door on the right"
"I thought your flight wasn't supposed to get in for another couple hours" Fi says as she gives Jesse a look "What's going on Jesse?"
"I don't know what your talking about" Jesse says as he looks at her as Maddie, Marcus and Charlie come running around the corner
"Uncle Jesse" Maddie says in the lead as they all three run into Jesse
"Welcome to our life" Fiona says as the three kids are coming at Jesse from all angles "It looks like you have it covered here, I'm going to go finish some things in the kitchen"
A few minutes later Sam comes back down the stairs holding Claire in his arms "Fi pictures don't really do this baby justice" he says as Fiona smiles at him coming back out of the kitchen "You two make some very cute babies"
"Thank you" Fiona says as she gives Claire a kiss on her head
"So where is my best friend at?" Sam says as he looks back at her
"He's out on a run" Fiona says as she looks at him "He was coming back from that and getting cleaned up before he came to pick you two up from the airport"
"Yea we got lucky and were able to get on an earlier flight" Sam says as Fiona says as he looks at her as Mike comes through the back door "Hey buddy"
"Hey what are you already doing here" Mike says as Sam gives him a side hug as he pulls away making a face "Yea I was planning on being less sweaty when I came to get you and Jess"
"We just happened to get in earlier, so we thought we would make a surprise out of it" Sam says as he looks at him
Later that night Fiona and Michael are sitting in the living room finishing off some pizza "Maybe I'm losing my touch"
"What are you talking about?" Michael says as he turns to look at her putting down his pizza
"I tried to get something out of them, and I couldn't" Fiona says as she looks at him "And I couldn't get anything"
"No, I saw a look on Sam's face that I've seen before" Michael says as he looks at her "Something is definitely going on"
"Well whatever the reason, it is nice having them here" Fiona says as she looks at him "Especially when they offer to put the kids to bed so we can spend time together"
"Yea" Michael says looking at her "I can't remember anytime in the last couple months we've been able to spend any extended time like this"
"I am really tired though" Fiona says as she looks at him and Michael rubs his head
"So am I" Michael says as he looks at her "Why don't we move this together time up to the bedroom" he says as he continues to look at her "And go straight to sleep"
"You read my mind" Fiona says grinning as they get off the couch as they make their way upstairs
Mike is sitting in Claire's nursery later that night holding her in his arms as Sam turns the corner into the doorway as Michael jumps "Didn't anyone ever teach you not to sneak up on people in the middle of the night" Mike says as he continues to look at him
"Well if that doesn't sound like something your mom would have said" Sam says as he looks at him "Is she okay?" he says as he looks at Claire
"Yea she's okay" Mike says as he looks at her "Sometimes I just come in here to hold her" he says as Sam takes a seat on the floor by him "I did the same thing when the twins were little, it gives me time to think"
"Are you doing okay?" Sam says as he looks up at Mike who is sitting in the rocking chair "With your" he continues as Mike looks over at him
"Sam, I think after six years we can call it what it was" Mike says as he looks at him "I know I had PTSD and anxiety after everything that happened"
"Well it was a tough time" Sam says as he looks at him "But we understood, you had brain washed by James and his team, you had just lost your mom and gained custody of Charlie" Sam says continuing "Especially after Ruth overdosed" he says looking over at Claire "There's no doubt that she's your daughter"
"Yea everyone has said that, but look at that picture laying on the dresser" Mike says as Sam gets up and walks over grabbing the photo
"Huh, when did you take this picture" Sam says as he looks at the picture of a baby
"I didn't Sam" Mike says as he looks at him "But my grandma might have, that's a picture of my mom as a baby" he says continuing to look at him
"She could have passed for Claire's twin" Sam says as he continues to look at the photo "Where did you find this"
"In a photo album that mom saved from the house" Mike says as he looks at him "I wish she could have seen how my life turned out in the end" he says looking back down at Claire laying asleep in his lap
"I know that was the thing that was hardest for you at the time" Sam says looking at him as he sits back down on the floor "losing her"
"She told me at the time that I found out that Charlie was coming into the world" Mike says looking at him "That she knew that I was never going to have a house with a family and a white picket fence"
"Well to be fair you still don't have a white picket fence" Sam says as he looks at him "But to be fair, back then I would have never imagined you as a dad either" he says continuing "But here we are, and I have two beautiful goddaughters and a handsome godson"
"I never knew that anything was missing in my life till I had the twins in my arms, and now her" Mike says looking back down at Claire "And now I can't imagine begin anything else but a dad"
"But speaking of your mom" Sam says looking over at him "I do see her in all of them"
"Are you kidding Maddie acts just like her" Mike says as he looks over at him "That may have been a poor decision name her after mom" he says continuing "But that's how I know she's here with us, and Nate"
"If Nate were here though, they would have already been playing craps" Sam says as Mike looks at him letting out a smile
"Maybe your right" Mike says as he looks at him "But he would have been a pretty good Uncle"
"I've been thinking of making some changes myself" Sam says as he looks over at him "Like big changes"
"Yea you and Jesse had Fi thinking she's lost her touch" Mike says looking at him "Why are you two really here?"
"What I can't just decide to come see my godkids and my best friend" Sam says as Mike gives him a look
"I've known you too many years Sam to believe that the only reason you're here is to see us" Mike says looking at him "And besides I saw the amount of bags you brought with you, looked like your planning on staying longer than just a few days"
"Try permanently" Sam says as Mike flips around giving him a look "Surprise"
"Wait, did I hear you right, did you say permanently" Mike says as he looks at him "And Jesse?"
"Him too" Sam says as he looks at him "It was kind of a split decision like right after I called you last night split"
"We'll as great is it will be to have you two closer" Mike says as he continues to give him a look "I'm going to need more details than that"
"It's a long story" Sam says as he looks at him "But the main reason is that the agency that Jesse and I are working for is giving us jobs that are just getting too dangerous" he says continuing "Jesse got bullet holes all in his new car last night"
"I think two weeks is actually a new record for one of his cars to stay in one piece" Mike says looking at him
"And heaven forbid something would ever happen to you guys" Sam says as he looks at Claire "I'm not going to be doing a very good job as a godfather if something happens to me first" he says continuing "The reward just isn't outweighing the risk anymore"
"I get it" Mike says as he looks at him "I know that better than anyone the last few years with realizing it's not just me making decisions anymore, that I have to take into consideration how my decisions will effect Fiona, Charlie and the kids" he says continuing "You could always come work for my agency"
"Oh as fun as it sounds to work with a windbag like Peterson, I had another idea" Sam says as he looks at him "I was thinking maybe we could start our own agency" he says as Mike looks at him "Just you know with less gunfire and explosives"
"But still be helping people" Mike says as Sam gives him a look "Okay" Mike says continuing "Because you are right, Peterson is kind of a windbag and I would rather take my chances you and Jesse"
"And Fi if she wants too" Sam says as he looks at him
"So when is all this going to be happening?" Mike says as he looks at him
"Well there's still a lot of details to bang out" Sam says looking over at him "A lot to figure out"
"We're here for whatever you need Sam" Mike says as he gets up as he lays Claire back in her crib "But right now I think we should get some sleep, one thing you learn as a parent is when they're asleep you sleep" he says looking over at the crib as Sam gets up off the floor
"And look at it this way" Sam says as he slowly follows him out of the nursery "At least you'll have some babysitters"
"That's what I'm counting on" Mike looks at him as he cracks the door open to his and Fiona's room "At least the kids aren't in here tonight" he says looking into the room
"No they're not" Sam says looking at him "Because they're in mine" he says as Mike smiles at him "Night Mike"
"Good Night Sam" Mike says as he closes the door as he lays back down in bed as Fiona rolls over putting her head on his chest "I talked to Sam, you haven't lost your touch"
"What did he say?" Fiona says as she looks up at him
"I'll explain it to you in the morning" Mike says as he looks down at her "Let's just try to get some rest now" he says as he begins to fall asleep "But the good news is we may be able to have a few more date nights" he says as Fi gives him a look before laying back on his chest
