Chapter 10

Dark clouds blocked out the sun the following day as Corrin let out a heavy sigh and remarked, "Grea, it looks like it's going to rain today. Good thing Gyobu and I weren't planning on hanging out today." She then proceeded to look around the empty house while she added, "Although staying inside all day doesn't really sound that enjoyable either considering I'm the only one home today." And so she walked towars the front door and grabbed her umbrella before she continued, "So maybe even though it's raining I'll go visit Snow at this Claude's Manor. ...That is once I figure out where it is exactly." However, before she completely had her hand on the doorknob she suddently stopped herself and ketp going, "Wait, what I am doing? Snow told me that someone was stopping by to collect a check that he had made out for them for some equipment or something. So I'd best wait until that's taken care of before I leave." After she had finished saying this there was a knock on the front door.

Hearing this prompted the young woman to place her hand completely on the doorknob before she turned it thus opening the door. Once she had done this though the red eyed human was quite surprised when she saw that black furred hyena beastman from a few days ago. And when she saw his light blue eyes make contact with hers she saw him grin at her as he greeted her with, "Hey there, sweetheart."

"Oh um, hello again." Corrin replied, as she took a step back. Upon doing so she then mentally kept going, "Oh no, not this guy again." However, not wanting to rude the young woman snapped out of her thoughts and smiled up at him as she added, "So, what can I do for you?"

"Oh, I'm sure there's a lot of things you could do for me, babe." The light blue Mohawk anthro remarked, as he had a gleam in his eyes that sent a shiver down Corrin's spine. However, when he started to walk into the house which caused her to take more steps backwards that gleam seemed to fade while he continued, "But I'm afraid I'm just here to collect a check so that I can go get all of the equipment for a party that the Guild Master of the Berserkersis hosting in a couple of nights. Because you see I'll be providing the music that everyone will be dancing to." A frown soon formed on his though when he kept going, "Although to be honest for some reason both he and his butler want more classical music and what not. Which isn't really my style. But why should I complain since they are paying me, am I right?"

"Oh, I see." Corrin let out, before she saw the check on a small table next to the front door. She then picked it up and handed it to the hyena and added, "Here you go then."

Once she had uttered these words though the young woman soon found herself becoming a bit uncomfortable when one of the hyena's black furred hands took the check from her and put into his let pants pocket while the other gently cupped her chin. Once he had done she saw him move his face closer to hers while he whispered, "Thanks princess. So now tell me what CAN I do FOR you on this rainy day?

"Um well, you can start by telling me your name." Corrin suggested, as she felt the Transient gently move some strand of her sliver away from her face.

She then felt herself letting out a gasp of surprise when she felt the warm breathe of the beastman against one of her ears as he asked in a hushed voice, "Is that all that you desire sweetheart? Because I'm certain I can fulfill other requests besides that. All you have to do is ask..."

"N-No, just learning your name is good enough." Corrin quickly protested, while she did her best to get rid of the blush that was on her face.

To her surprise though the black furred beastman let out a cackle before he moved away from her ear and replied, "My name is Nyarlathotep. But if you'd like you may call me Nyarl for short." "Alright. Well then it's nice to meet you Nyarl. My name is Corrin." The young woman replied, as she did her best to smile at the grinning hyena without getting uncomfortable again. However, these feelings were pushed aside when an idea popped into her head. And so she decided she kept going with, "Although now that I think about it, there is one more thing you can do for me."

"Oh? And pray tell what could this task be, Corrin?" Nyarl wondered, as he walked back towards the door and then locked it from the inside.

Seeing this though did cause the princess to tense up a little. However, she stood her ground when she said, "I was wondering if you could take me to Snow's Master's manor?"

"Really? That's what you want me to do?" The anthro hyena questioned back, with a frown on his face.

"Yes, that's what I want you to do." She stated, before she felt him finally let go of her chin.

After he did this though the young woman felt him move it towards her right side again when he told her, "Very well. Then just like last time you best hold on to me tightly, princess."

Corrin nodded her head in understanding as she did what he suggested and leaned up against him. And then once again she saw that small black box from two days ago. And then before she knew it there a bright flash like last time, but this time she and the hyena ended up inside a large ballroom which she assumed was a part of the Guild Master's home. And as she looked around Corrin stood next to the Transient so that she could regain ehr balance before she removed herself from against his clothed body.

Upon doing this she heard Snow's voice when he asked, "Lady Corrin? Why are you with Sir Nyarl?"

Turning around to face the white furred lion the young woman replied, "I asked him to bring me here because I wanted to pay you a visit here. I hope that won't be a problem?"

"No, of course not." Snow reassured her, which caused her to let out a mental sigh of relief.

However, the young woman's attention was brought back over to the black furred anthro hyena when he remarked, "Well, isn't that just adorable. But if you'll excuse me I think i'll scope out this room. This way I'll know where put all of the equipment once I get tomorrow." Corrin then felt herself becoming uncomfortable again when he once again cupped her chin and added, "So I guess I'll see you at the party?"

"Um of course." Corrin let out, while she looked away from his gaze.

In response to that she heard him let out another short cackle before he told her, "Great! And I bet you're going to blow all of the other women out of the water, princess."

After he had said this Corrin felt him let go of her chin and then walk away from her. While he did this though she heard Snow approach her as he placed a hand onto her right shoulder and asked, "Lady Corrin, may I ask why he referred to you like that? He doesn't happen to know about who you really are or where you're from does he?"

Hearing this prompted the young woman to turn to fae the lion Transient when she replied, "No, I highly doubt that he knows that I'm a Princess of Hoshido. ...At least I don't think he knows."

"Hmmm, I see. Then I'll try to keep an eye on him whenever I am not busy during the night of the party." The lion butler reassured her, before the two walked away.

Once they had done this though a grin spread across Nyarl's face as he looked over his shoulder from across the room while he said out loud to himself, "Oh, so she's from the Kingdom of Hosido huh? Too bad the princess thought I wasn't listening in on her conversation." He then let out a loud laugh to which he continued with, "And if I remember right the neighboring kingdom to them is called Nohr. Oh, I could have some real fun knowing this information."
