"This is Captain Grant approaching the runway, over."

"You are... clear for landing plane 27, over."

"Roger that."

The airplane extends its rubber tires and skids along the lengthy strip of road. The grounded aircraft comes to a gradual stop after the passengers endure a swell of unbridled friction. The vessel of flight rounds the bend, proceeding to connect to a metal ramp. The inhabitants of the steel tube scurry their way out of their seats and into the airport. However, one young boy waits patiently for all of the travelers to disperse.

"Come on, Luke. Don't be shy," The flight attendant persuades.

"Is that Professor Hershel Layton in the flesh," A rowdy onlooker reports.

"Is it really him?"

"He's so cool."

"Oh my gosh, he's like my idol."

"I wonder if he can solve this puzzle?"

"Yeah, Layton, can you solve my puzzle too? It's super difficult."

"Puzzle, puzzle, puzzle, puzzle!" The crowd chants persistently.

The well-dressed teacher ignores their pitiful attempt to raise the stakes. He rearranges his sitting position and turns his attention to a red brochure buried in his jacket pocket.

"Come one, come all! Witness the floating miracle; the Arrow Zeppelin soar across the heavens. Enjoy high-class dining and a plethora of lively activities you can savor with the whole family. Win big at our state of the art casinos, and marvel at an illustrious relic from the past, Aphrodite's Amulet. This precious trinket will only be displayed at our museum for a limited time, so book your adventure now."

1st Mystery - Aphrodite's Amulet

The origin behind this elusive jewel remains a mystery. However, various legends throughout the ages document the stone to hold great powers. Its sheer beauty, coupled with its expensive price tag, always brings in waves of jewelry fanatics.

"Gate 12 is now open for departure; any riders, please report to the platform immediately.'"

Layton releases his clutch on the foam seat cushion and rises to his feet. He makes a beeline for the newly open gate, fending off adoring fans and agitated commuters.

Layton spots a small boy adorned in blue, being escorted by a flight attendant. He raises a sign oddly depicting the lad's last name and passes three other cards to the bystanders standing next to him.

Luke surveys the unruly mob, trying to catch a glimpse of the puzzle master's profile. Instead, he finds...

Puzzle!

No. 001 - Show me the Chauffeur

This puzzle is worth 30/30 picarats. Subtract 5 if you get it wrong.

There are four notable signs mixed within the group -

Sign A bears a letter I on it.

Sign B shows an arrow that points left, with a T on it.

Sign C carries an arrow that points right, with an F on it.

Sign D displays the letter N on it.

Which sign belongs to Mr. Layton?

Sign A

Sign B

Sign C

Sign D

Use hints only if you're stuck. Skip to the end to see the results.

Hints:

1. Try drawing out this situation on paper. It might make it easier to decipher.

2. Ignore the last name Triton and focus on which letter is on the cards.

3. Pay attention to signs B and C and their respective letters. Does anything seem familiar?

"Well, here's my guess..."

A is CORRECT

"Layton's apprentice strikes again!" Luke rejoices.

Great job, the letters T and F represent which sign they're pointing to is either True and Fale.

Layton greets the young apprentice with a wide grin. "What did you think of my puzzle, Luke. Consider it a warm-up for things to come"

"You almost got me, professor, but I could see the brim of your hat peeking above the masses."

"Good eye, Luke. You'll make for a great lookout when we tangle with the guards from Scotland Yard."

"Oh, don't tell me we're dealing with Inspector Grosky or even worse Inspector Chelmey?"

"No, no, I merely jest. But the possibility of running into those two is highly likely. No, today we're going to be boarding a new system of travel, one that boats or trains can't replicate."

"What is it?" Luke inquires.

Layton slides open a pair of rusty doors to reveal the exhibit.

"The Arrow Zeppelin!" Layton boasts.

"Zepp...lin?" Luke mutters confusingly.

"Yeah, It won't be a private venture like the one we underwent with Professor Sycamore, but this ship is significantly bigger and houses many enthralling attractions." Layton details, passing the brochure to a doubtful Luke.

"Aphrodite's Amulet? That sounds interesting."

"I knew that would catch your eye, as it did mine."

"Is that the only reason you're going, professor."

"I'm... afraid I can't answer that question," Layton stifles, turning down his hat.

"Before we depart, we should grab some hint coins to aid us in our journey. I just know there's going to be a couple of stumpers along the way."

"Good idea, Luke. I wish to join you in this coin hunting escapade. But I don't see any available spots we haven't checked."

"My friends, what are you doing at a place like this?

"Is that who I think it is."

"Indeed, it's none other than I, Mr. Stachenscarfen!"

"I see you having trouble finding the elusive hint coins. Do not fret, for I shall educate you in the art of coin nabbing. Can you see that plane's tire over there? Why don't you try clicking on it with your stylus?

The tire releases a quick spurt of air and a golden coin from the stylus' touch.

"That's the ticket. See, you're already a natural at it. There's also the zoom feature, but I refrain from uttering such blasphemous comments?"

The duo searches precariously through the scene. They uncover one hint coin occupying a nearby windsock, and another submerged in the front pouch of someone's luggage. The third coin initially evades the pair's keen eyesight but is promptly discovered when Layton opens a wooden crate.

"Oh, Mr. Layton, it's so good you're here, see I'm kind of in a predicament right now. I kind of need to get all the passengers on the Arrow Zeppelin before lunchtime. But there's been a mix up in the parking department." Dash hastily explains, waving his wand lights.

"Could you offer some help? It would be much appreciated."

"Sure, Dash, I'll see what I can do."

Puzzle!

No. 002 - Parking Problem

This puzzle is worth 20/20 picarats. Subtract 5 if you get it wrong.

Here are the original plans of the staff -

The Yellow Zeppelin isn't supposed to be near the Purple or Red aircrafts.

The Red Cropduster and the Purple Helicopter are a pair. They should be put together.

The Green By-plane can't be in the radius of the Yellow Zeppelin and has to reside on the left side.

List the correct order of the planes from left to right, each letter representing the color of that aircraft. Example (R,Y,G,B,P)

Use hints only if you're stuck. Skip to the end to see the results.

Hints:

1. The Blue Jet is a good buffer between colors, use it wisely.

2. Yellow and Green can't touch, so it's highly likely that they're both at opposite ends.

3. Remember that Yellow can not be next to Red or Purple, so there must be one between it.

"Luke, here's my answer."

GRPBY or GPRBY is CORRECT

"Critical thinking is the key to success," Layton says while smirking with delight.

Victory! Now everyone is in the position they should be.

"Thanks, Layton, I was in a real pickle there. If my boss found out, I'd be replaced in no time."

"Well, this parking issue could potentially affect the day of hundreds of consumers. So I prioritized this dilemma over the crossword puzzles I receive from fans."

"Dang, I feel like I should repay you guys. Hmm, maybe I could sneak you some first-class seats. How does that sound?"

"No, thank you, Dash," Layton responds.

"But professo-"

"Come now, Luke, A true gentleman, offers his seat for someone in need," Layton mentions, leading Luke towards the mystical carrier.

"Urgh, I guess," Luke begrudgingly admits, kicking up dirt. "If Flora were here, she'd agree with me."

"If she would just come back already."

"...I'm sure we'll find her someday, Luke. Just be patient for now."

"I've ...been patient," Luke mutters defeatedly.

2nd Mystery - Flora's Disappearance

About two years ago, Flora, the kind and gentle girl, seemingly vanished from existence. There were no records, no evidence, nothing that the police could use to find on her. Luke and Layton were utterly devastated from the disaster, and still search for her to this day.

The two detectives infiltrate the winged vehicle via an iron ramp. Inside, a lavish hotel decorated with numerous antiques and priceless treasures.

"Wow, it's so big in here. It looks so much smaller on the outside."

The bellhop operates the front desk sporadically. He rifles through files and documents to find what he's looking for. Layton can't help but query the man's situation.

"I'm trying to determine the time. Is it already 12 o'clock or is it still 9. Gah, I don't know, these stupid clocks are messed up again." Baron discloses as he wraps the telephone cable around his neck.

"Please calm down, sir. I'm sure a little intuition could put this problem to rest."

Puzzle!

No. 003 - Parallel Clocks

This puzzle is worth 20/20 picarats. Subtract 10 if you get it wrong.

There are two clocks resting on a wall adjacent to one another. They both read the same time and even share the same model. However, a large gust of wind travels through the window, upsetting one of the clock's displayed times. If one clock reads 12 AM and the other shows 9 AM, which clock's time is wrong?

A - 12 AM

B - 9 AM

Use hints only if you're stuck. Skip to the end to see the results.

Hints:

1. Pay attention to the circumstances and what changed the clock's time.

2. Remember that 12 AM is not the afternoon, it's in the middle of the night.

3. What's something that most people refrain from doing in the middle of the night, and how can it relate to this problem.

"That should do it."

A is CORRECT

"I think I'm in the mood for another," Layton bolsters.

Yes, clock A displays the wrong time. Who would open a window in the middle of the night? The breeze must have flown in from the early morning?

Sigh* "Thank you, Layton. It looks like I still have time to get myself situated before departure." Slap* "Where are my manners, I'm Baron von Flint and welcome to our humble abode."

"It's quite the charmer, and I assume those leather seats are pre-world war one."

"You got an eye for the finer things, Layton. And I'm sure you've already recognized the unique color of the tapestries."

"Ah! Brash Velvet, it seems you've beaten me to the punch. Although, knowing that this is simply the foyer, I'm excited to see what other knick knacks you have lying around."

"Oh ho ho, your thirstiness for ancient relics will be positively quenched by this trip. Here, let me get you your key so you can explore the area."

The bellhop bestows upon Layton a room key and points him in the direction of the nearest elevator. As the glass lift descends to the first floor, Luke unleashes a barrage of questions. "How do you know so many people, professor? Are they your friends or acquaintances? What's this about a tapestry?

"This is my first time interacting with these people, Luke. They're either avid fans of mine or have heard about our adventures on the news."

"That's so cool. You're like a real celebrity."

"It's both a blessing and a curse."

As the conveyor belt climbs multiple floors, Layton shifts his attention to the elevator's unusual song. It's unnatural pitch, and dilapidated tone makes for an odd blend of music.

3rd Mystery - Psychedelic Music

The music accompanying the Arrow Zeppelin is weirdly mesmeric. It's a combination of eerie flute patterns and sparse bell rings. Passengers have seemingly complained about the uncanny noises within the songs, but the odd melody persists.

The pair advance towards the swell of doors, stopping at the one depicting the numbers 104. Luke inserts the key and rattles the doorknob. However, the lock doesn't budge from the boy's exertion. "Hey, what gives, it's not opening."

"Hmm, it seems this is one of Baron's doings."

"Looks like this one is up to the apprentice," Luke asserts, readying his notebook.

Puzzle!

No. 004 - Behind Closed Doors

This puzzle is worth 30/30 picarats. Subtract 5 if you get it wrong.

The door to Layton's room is covered in useless gears and wooden latches. There is a series of items laid out by the gateway to help you penetrate the chamber. A note plastered on the door reads, "You can only use two of these items or the door resets." Which two pieces can assist Layton in his door unlocking efforts?

1. Broken Key

2. Opulent Rug

3. Vintage Wall Lamp

4. Oil Canister

5. Potted Plant

6. NoteBook

Use hints only if you're stuck. Skip to the end to see the results.

Hints:

1. Reread the first couple of sentences and compare it to the list of items.

2. The first line is particularly important in determining the two parts that should go together.

3. Which fire-based items can melt the door's wooden latches.

"I think I've got it."

3 and 5 is CORRECT

"I did it, yesss."

Excellent work, the long leaves of the potted plant make for a safe tool to hold fire. Burning off the door's wooden latches is the key to opening it.

"I'm impressed with your quick thinking, Luke. That was surely not an easy puzzle to solve."

"It was easy peasy, no hints needed."

"Are you sure about that? I noticed that we were missing some of the hint coins we picked up earlier?

"Well, a hint or two can't hurt."

The two gentlemen prepare for their afternoon brunch at the dining hall. Layton dons a much darker jacket in contrast to his new red shirt. Luke dabbles in the bowtie territory, frequently asking Layton to secure the knot once more.

"Room service!" A woman shouts from the outside.

"Did you order something?" Layton queries.

"Yeah, a little snack to hold me over."

Layton opens the door.

"My word," Layton gasps.

"Hi, nice to meet you?"

'Who is it, professor..."

"FLORA?"
